I tore three muscles on my right shoulder blade after a fall about end 2018; my GP referred me to A1 Function where the shoulder was manipulated and massaged regularly for about 6 months. I was also put on an array of home exercises, in addition to my twice-weekly attendance at the gym section of A1 Function. The shoulder improved rapidly and is now about 95% functional. End October 2022 I had a complete right hip replacement: on the suggestion of the physiotherapist I started leg and hip exercises two months before the operation, and had about two months of physio treatment, after which I did a comprehensive set of exercises daily at home, in addition to twice weekly leg exercises at the A1 Function premises. I consider myself fully recuperated from the operation, but keep up the exercises and use the equipment at the premises, to keep up my general physical well-being. I cannot speak too highly of the professional competence of the personnel at A1 Function; they are also very interested in my social wellbeing and are supportive of my efforts at keeping fit and healthy. At my age of 88, it is very important that I retain good physical health, and the general atmosphere at A1 Function is very conducive for that aim. I take pleasure in my twice weekly set of exercises at the premises, and strictly follow my exercises at home. John Greenway

I’ve been going to A1 Function for many years now they have been really good. I’ve been seeing Adam and he’s helping me get through many injuries to get me back to full strength, I’m a carpenter so it’s pretty crucial to be able to get back to full movement so I would recommend going here if you need a physio.
