If I could I’d give this store 0 stars, thanks to Patty who generously offered her last name and social security number, I declined, I was doing some instacart shopping and I get to check out watching her check out Every else, not once while checking out any of the 4 customers in front of me did she ask for an iD, mind you I’m doing instacart, a service that has age restrictions and requires valid identification to verify age and qualifications, she ids me, I left my wallet in the car as I only car my instacart card while doing instacart, i mention it as I return after she tells me I can’t leave the store with the order without providing I’d, mind you no one prior was asked for if verification, any way, after brining up the fact that I’m the only one that’s being I’ded Patty tells me don’t worry bout what I do with them only worry about me, so I’m shocked and I’m like ok but that don’t make sense because everyone else was shopping personally and I’m using a pre verified service, she the acccuses me of using someone else’s account, then when I say it doesn’t work like that she begins to tell me to “finish my order and hurry up and get out of her store” at which I was mad confused because in my option I’d not been rude I’d not raised my voice I just ask why I’m the only one she’s enforcing the store policy on, I the spoke to a manager who acted as if this was normal customer service, but eventually sent her to do another task as she was still being rude infront of the manager at which she offered to get as if nothing was going to change, very unprofessional customer service expect the guy working the wine section he was amazing and helpful, and yes I was the only African American shopping in there at the time and when I mentioned it coming off as racist she agreed stating I’ve lived in America all my life too “

I had a great experience with the lady who works there. She was awesome! That's why I'm giving more than one star. I had a really bad experience at checkout. Jimmy waved for me to check out and talked to his coworker the entire time. Didn't say one word to me and spoke over me to his coworker while I was trying to say "I have a reward number" and when I said my reward number. I had to repeat myself multiple times since he couldn't give me 30 seconds of undivided attention to do our transaction. Not a hi and have a nice day or anything. The only things I got was what.. what.. ID. Went back to his coworker before I even hit the receipt button. Wish I could say I'd be back because the lady was great! But to be treated as an inconvenience even tho I'm spending money here and did/said nothing to deserve that makes me want to go elsewhere. I'm sure he could've finished his conversation after a few mins.

You MUST drive out of your way to avoid this store. We had a bad experience from start to finish. There were 6 employees on the floor. None of whom were available to help. One was speaking loudly on their cell phone. Two were busy flirting, asking to be invited to a woman’s event. Then at checkout, one of my items was supposed to ring up with a free add-on. I realized after the transaction was completed that it had not been rung up, the cashier just shrugged her shoulders and set it aside. I went to the front desk where other employees were gathered. We were “helped” by the assistant store leader, Mike with a consistently condescending tone. He was visibly annoyed by me and begrudgingly solved the problem after about 10 minutes of the employees trying to avoid being helpful.

I used their online express service to buy a mixed case of red wines to hold me thru this shutdown, and there was a mix up with one of the wines. I had to return to the store a second time to fix the issue, which I didn't want to do even the first time because of stay-at-home, social-distancing practices. Many, many people tried very hard to find the missing wine, to no avail. Eventually my issue was resolved. I even got a call from the District Manager apologizing for the situation, which she certainly did not have to do, as her Associates tried very hard and were quite pleasant through it all. I ended up apologizing to her for my actions, as well. (Btw - this is a well-stocked, clean store staffed by knowledgeable people, so check it out!)

Every time I go to this store I have a terrible experience. The staff is always so rude and aggressive. My friend went in to buy some wine and she does look very young so obviously they are automatically slightly suspicious, however they scanned her ID and it checked out. They continued to be very aggressive toward her and told her if she was illegally buying alcohol they would get her in trouble. They freaked her out so much that she just left the store. They definitely lost out on my business today, and as a newly 21 year old, that is a lot. They definitely need a lesson in customer service because berating someone about their age for no reason other than that they looked young AND after their ID checked out is not it.

Had an horrible experience with the one of the employees was a short lesiban female with blonde hair. Was there to pick my order at express pick waited there for 8 mins while she just stood there at the cashier counter pretending like she was working when there was no one there. Acting like I wasn't even there so I went up to ask about my order. She said are you sure this is the right store she dashed to the back rummaging around looking for the order couldn't find started yelling at me this is not the store because I am a black man thinking I was dumb good heaven the store manager comes around says it there in a box. he save from a racist white woman lesiban going to have to report still to the higher up of the store

I called this store looking for pomegranate schnapps the person who answered asked me how many bottles I was looking for and I stated at least one if not two bottles, the clerk stated they had at least one bottle in stock so I drove over there. When I arrived I asked the clerk that I spoke with on the phone where it was located he then said the did not have any, I stated to him that he told me on the phone that they had at least one in stock and he replied he never told me that which was a lie. I would not have driven to the store if they did not tell me they had it. This place is terrible with the way they treat customers, they lie and have no respect. Stay away from there, find somewhere else to shop.

I dont. Go as often as i use to go to the kennedy location but the last two times i went i was kept long time before someone to pay for my purchase. Standing there ask me are ready to check out and i didnt feel very welcomed when i went no ine said hi sir welcome to abc i wasnt even eckbowledged as i came in i think they cater to much to the S. Tampa crowd in my opinion. They make you feel unwanted stereotype you i dont no what the problem is. I guess those are S Tampa behavior i guess. I will not be spending my money at that location again. Being a Native of Tampa i got to say the area has certainly changed alot.

I have come here twice late at night and you would expect the typical "hurry up and get out" attitude when it's close to close. You won't find that here! You'll find a staff that's knowledgeable and overly friendly. I can't recall the gentleman's name that helped me decide on this awesome limited edition Deadpool tequila and flask, but he deserves a raise (he was working the check out, as well as helping us). Someone in management should recognize his ability to not only sell but make people happy in the process. Great staff, will always be back.

I walked in the store and was like wow this is a nice place. As I walked through I'm looking for some Hennessy. Another group walked in and as waiting in line I got to get counter to get my Hennessy and they would not service me because the other people didn't have identification so I couldn't get my bottle but sold a bottle to a white man with people with him and never once questioned anything. I feel the place is racist so to the black people that visit Florida do not I repeat do not go to this place. I feel violated and a black human being.

Go in there with my friend for her 21st bday, worker came up and asked us all for our ids (which is fine). But my friend and I who are not 21 were honest and said we will just leave then. And he said no I can’t ever sell to her (21 year old) Bc I know she is associated with you. So she asked if she could come back later by herself and get something and he still said no bc they know that she is friends w people who are not 21! How is that fair? Also ruined a special moment for someone who has waited so long for this day! Goodbye Abc!

Crowded aisles with products makes things harder to find. Getting help finding things is even more difficult. Once you find an employee, though, they do a fairly good job of pointing and describing where it is. Not the best customer service experience, but it got the job done. Update 6/23/21: I went back and found Felicia. She's an awesome person and a great employee! Shopping today was easy thanks to her! I will look for her next time I'm in the store.

I don't really drink that much I mean Hennessy and ginger ale and lemonade is about the best I can do but if they had the frozen margaritas that will probably be my go-to place since I've been here I haven't seen the Margaritas that I prefer but like everything else they have everything else so it takes the buzz gives you a buzz it takes the edge off your life allows you to chill the rest of the way it's better than using drugs that's for certain

This place has basically anything you're looking for. One of my favorite liquor stores to go to in the area. The employees are really super helpful. There's always someone around if you have any questions that are very knowledgeable about all the items that are in their store. Sometimes I'll go out of my way to go to this liquor store. They have a pretty good selection of sour beers as well. Please like this comment if you read it.

Almost every time I go in here to buy craft beer, the six and 4 packs ring up a dollar more then the tags on display. It's to the point that I take pictures of the product and the tag in the cooler or on the Shelf before I go up to the cash register. I do not think this is an oversight because it's far too consistent. Also, the selection of beer has dropped significantly, to make way for this absurd alcoholic water nonsense.

Called ABC Liquor on Kennedy and spoke with Alex. He helped me confirm that the rum I was looking for was in stock. He also held the last two bottles for me. When I arrived, Alex helped me to discover new rums that might fit my palate, even finding an open bottle to sample. I must say that Alex demonstrated true customer service that is hard to find in this day and age. Thank you Alex!

May I make a suggestion? Especially this time of year... buy the gift sets instead of just the bottle. They are almost always the same price and come with cool, free gifts. Instead of just a free hangover, I now have Tullamore Dew socks too!! Bonus. Oh, and sign up for the loyal club. Also, ABC has the BEST prices, biggest selection and the BEST service. Who can compete with this?

If in South Tampa area, than this is the best liquor store for you. It's clean and has a lot of options + it's got a pretty convenient location on Kennedy Blvd and a nice size parking lot (which is harder to find in this area). It's not the largest ABC I've been too, but the extra space is not needed, this place should carry anything you need & has great prices, discounts, etc...

This place is the best!!! Amazing selection on everything from beer wine and liquor. They also have great cheese and chocolate and such fixins to go with your wine. It's also a great place to go for gifts of that nature as well. Great box sets and prettily wrapped wine bottles. Not to mention the workers there are super nice and very friendly. Oh and also the prices are great!

They have no garbage cans outside the perimeter in the parking lot and also their hand sanitizer was empty and asking the stuff about a sign I saw right when you walk in I got a response way too long to answer the question given and then her last word was the answer of the response very unprofessional no good salesman besides the owner who showed me where the Gin was.

The staff is always friendly but the organization/setup of the beer is terrible. Sort by type? Nope. By brewery name? Nope. Beer name maybe? Nope. Just toss it on the shelf? Works for them. I know beers change and are added a lot but please, sort it all by type (brown ale, IPA, sour, lager, etc). It’s hard enough reading the crazy labels these days.

Fun place to shop and friendly staff. They have a bar there but it wasn't open at 10:00 a.m. when I was shopping. They still get five stars even though they don't carry Sierra Nevada pale ale in 12-pack cans, and one time they couldn't honor the posted sale price because of some computer update thing at corporate which was kind of weird.

While browsing the rum section the an employee or possibly the manager of the location came to me and pointed out a bottle that was on sale and also had an additional 2$ of coupon attached. I have visited this location many times, their prices are reasonable and the selection is vast. They also offer a rewards program which also helps.

Excellent selection, considerably larger than my local outlet, but with the same welcoming feeling from the staff. Despite the lateness of the hour we had no trouble getting help when we couldn't quite find what we were looking for. Ultimately we had a pleasant visit and left with more than we had planned on. Highly recommended.

Super friendly and down to earth. Knows the store well and overall should be running it. I plan to return for all of my adult drinking needs.

I usually order from this story using Drizly app. I recently had a question about their products so I have them a call directly and without even letting me finish they interrupted me and said “call Drizly”. Very poor customer support. This might not make a difference for them but I will certainly not order from them again.

This store is always busy but the staff is friendly and helpful. ABC may be a chain but it's a Florida chain so in a way you are still shopping local if that's a concern of yours. Join the rewards program for access to certain bonus perks such as exclusive access to rare bottles (I got a W.L. Weller 12 year that way).

The warmest beer fridge ever. I mean absolutely lukewarm beer. Ive mentioned it to them and they say theyve never heard a complaint on it. But when i buy beer from them because i live around the corner, i have to add at least an hour to my schedule to let the beers get cold in my fridge. Really unfortunate.

This was a wonderful shopping experience. Was shopping for a hospitality room and one of the staff actually took time to walk us through the store and help us find everything we were looking for. He also made recommendations that were thoughtful and fit in well with our needs.

Friendly and helpful employees. Has mostly everything you need from a beer, wine, spirits selection. Of note, the beer selection isn't as big as Total wine, but that place is also a national chain so... They also do monthly wine, beer, and liquor tastings which is pretty cool.

Went in today looking for a red wine to pair with a steak. As soon as I walked down the isle, the manager was able to assist me and recommend several wines in the price range I wanted. Also, was able to provide insight for an aerator that was on sale. Best customer service!!

Fantastic selection of tequilas and vodkas. I love the way the wines are organized by country of origin. There's also always somebody asking if you want some help finding something. They give great recommendations about what to try as well as their personal favorites.

It was a great looking store. I was having trouble locating a certain type of wine and had 2 different employees help me to find it but they were out. They both recommended something else which was super helpful. Everyone there was real friendly and knowledgeable.

This location in particular stocked a particular uncommon whiskey I was looking for. Went to this location at the recommendation of a friend who mentioned I might find what I was looking for there. Will definitely come back in search of other specialty spirits.

Asked the manager a question and he was very rude to us...Totally unnecessary and uncalled for especially when we were respectful to him...Just wanted to know if they had a particular item in stock and he completely brushed us off in the most rudest way

The staff is incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable! Super nice atmosphere and friendly service. Parking lot can get a bit tight when it's busy, but definitely with it. Great selection and organized really well to easily find what you're looking for.

Ok I have liquor baskets made at ABC all the time, 9 out of 10 they are perfect, but when you get that one associate who dose not know how to make them and you just want to step in and help but cant cause they know what they are doing, its frustrating.

How does this store on Kennedy get so many stars? I called twice at 4pm Monday and the phone just rings off the hook then disconnects when trying to get store employee on the line. No voicemail nor response. As if they discourage customer questions.

My go to purveyor of wine and spirits. I can always find those "hard to find" craft brews here. If you watch the local ads in the papers, you can usually find some very good deals and a coupon or two, which makes their prices fairly reasonable.

The store has a pretty good variety of all types of alcohol. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. They have a section of more expensive wine, a small cigar section, and an area in the back where you can fill growlers.

Fast service and a variety of selections. I was able to find the beverage I was looking for at another store by looking online while at the store close to my house. Took a little more time but was able to get what I needed.

Tonay the wine manager was extremely kind and generous with her knowledge on the best wines to choose. Clean and organized, the layout of the store made it easy to find what I was looking for.

I went the first time there the day before Gasparilla. The line was crazy long and couldn’t find parking. Yet they were pretty fast I had question about wine they took the time to help me out.

The lady in the glasses at the cashier is very rude. I asked her if they had a certain tequila in the back since what I was looking for wasn’t there and she was giving nothing but an attitude.
