This review is for an experience at 6 pm - other times may be better. Unfortunately this place is terrible. There’s a system where different entrances have different lines, but if you’ve never been there you wouldn’t be aware of it. If you violate these unspoken rules people get angry and honk. People are also impatient with each other gassing up and leaving quickly and are constantly laying on their horns for that reason too. It’s super unpleasant. The wait takes substantially longer time than the gas stations across the street. The they have hoses that reach a long distance but unfortunately the hose leaked all over my clothing. It’s somewhat difficult to exit the gas station as it’s on a busy street corner and folks are impatient. It’s just an unfortunate experience all around -definitely the worst gas station I’ve ever been to in this city.
While I certainly appreciate the fact that this station has the cheapest gas near me, I was quite shocked to discover that they only accept cash or debit cards. I was very much in a state of disbelief, as I've never come across this before. Fortunately, I just happened to have some cash on me (I rarely carry it). I wasn't comfortable sticking my debit card into the machine. Now that I know this, and know I wasn't being singled-out, I will gladly continue to buy my gas here.
Oil change is the only reason I stopped by. Cheap gas burns out way too quick. I can spend 80 at Chevron or Shell drive to Sac and back and still have gas for the week. Arco gas im out by the time I get to Sac. Something is wrong with that. Only giving 4 stars because of the oil change shop. I've been bringing my cars there for years.
Long wait, card reader didn’t work, and either the attendant didn’t speak English or the microphone was so bad that communication was impossible. Plus, a woman warned me to never use a debit card in the future because I’d get scammed. I gave up and went across the street. A little more money, but 100% better experience.
DO NOT PUT GAS HERE - SUPER LOW QUALITY GAS (gotta be cheap for a reason eh?) Filled up a tank of premium & (new) car is behaving badly. Could immediately feel it driving. COMPLETELY different feel and power at the same rpms as before. Also, they don’t take credit cards and charge $0.35 for debits!! Ridiculous scamps.
It's a gas station I'd give it three stars cuz it's just a gas station I'm going to give it for because it tends to have the cheapest price in the area and it's on my route so for me it's easy to get in to get out and it's got the cheapest prices it could get extra points if it had stuff to clean my windows
Broken pump didn't reset after I got gas. I got charged for the next guy's gas but can't get a hold of the gas station because nobody answers their phone number. When I go in person the guy tells me I have to call the manager. Pump number 2, avoid it, but better yet just avoid this place entirely.
It’s the cheapest in San Francisco, never had any problem and I love it. They’re nice and they have long hose so you can stop any side of your car and you’re able to use it. I usually go to the one on Fell st with Divisadeiro and at any other Arco out of town. They’re the best.
For whatever reason Google and the company says this arco station is permanently closed but that's not accurate. They remodeled last week and I pumped gas just now as it March 11th 2019. I hope this post helps others . It is the cheapest gas in the city . Take care y'all.
Be very careful when you go here. I went to gas up today with $20 cash and when the pump stopped at $17, I went to complain. The guy said I gave him $17; how could I have given him $17 when I gave him four bills? (4 five dollar bills).
Listed the lowest gas prices in the area, then when you show up, it’s debt only, and they throw on 2 additional fees. One for the debt card and one for who knows what. I think this is incredibly shady and will never use ARCO again.
Best gas prices in San Francisco! Sometimes hard to get into because there's a wait but the meters have nozzles with long hoses that reach to either side of your car, so you don't have to wait for the right one or try to back in.
inexpensive gas is the only perk for this place. .The lot is small, there's a line for gas, they don't take credit cards and they charge a fee for using a debit card.. but the most inexpensive gas around.
This gas station is ridiculous. Sure, the gas is cheap, but please know that when it's busy, you will sit in a line on Divisidero Street. There are other Arco gas stations in SF that are much safer.
I called to see if they had a car wash and the price of regular gas. The person who answered the phone spoke poor English and said he couldn't tell me. Then he preceded to hang up on me . …
It is good to have a station in San Francisco with air. Most stations out here do offer that service or faking it as out of order. The night personelle could be a bit more friendly though...
Too many carbrains impaired from carcinogenic fumes constantly blocking the sidewalk. I hope this gas station, all others, and the entire auto/oil industry shrivel up and die.
Cheapest gas station in the area but its crazy how people do not follow lines . Kinda hard to get into the lot since its on the corner of 2 busy streets Cash is cheaper here
One of the cheapest gas stations in the city. Unfortunately, people have an inability to follow the rules of which way to go into the pump, often blocking off everyone else
By far the cheapest gas around Haight/Divisidaro area, and they have working mobile payment readers on the pumps. They’ll give you free air if you ask at the little kiosk.
BE WARY, PAY CASH! Just like Grace down below, I used my debit card on Sunday and now already have 3 charges that i didn't place. Definitely a skimmer on the pumps.
Great low prices but you have to pay cash and there's usually a line of cars waiting. So if you don't mind either of those, you'll save a few bucks by coming here.
This gas station has the best gas in the region for efficiency. They have wonderful attendants, too, who will accommodate you. Satisfactory and advisable service!
My go to place in SF for the price. They offer almost as low as costco gasoline prices here. Only thing to keep in mind is this is in a very busy area.
Cheapest gas ⛽️ prices from the panhandle district all the way to the west towards Great Highway. Really busy area, so be prepared for a line of cars
Expensive place I tell you, but car would not move on water, so had to budge and feed the monster. Not for Teslas and other electric vehicles.
Among the worst lines for gas I’ve experienced in the city and doesn’t have squeegees to clean your windows. Very inefficient gas station.
Best gas prices in the city. Although it is ALWAYS crowded and a cluster f. Be sure you are not in a hurry and have plenty of patience.
This is always a fav place to fill up when heading out of town. Cash or debit only but prices are lower than surrounding gas stations.
Best thing is watching uber and lift drivers buying 6 bucks worth of gas after pulling in the wrong way. Ride share economy is strong!
My debit card has yet to work and the staff is impressively unfriendly. Dread going here but it’s usually the cheapest gas so I deal.
This is a very popular gas station. The wait can be long at certain times of the day. The gas is the cheapest I know of in the city.
Customer service is terrible. Machines here always say to “see attendant” and the attendant always says, “not our fault, try again.”
Air hose end broken cut my finger should have an "OUT OF SERVICR OR BROKEN " sign on it called to report it GHEY REALLY DIDENT CARE
The clerk REFUSED to Take change & was "AWOL" for over 20+ minutes when he went to Eat️Dinner & kept 7Customers Waiting‼️ …
Great prices. Packed, and kind of weird to get in/out of with the bike lanes. Worth filling up if you're in the neighborhood.
Cheapest gas in town but becareful i have been in some situations where we are arguing about a pump, very busy gast station
Convenient gas station, with relatively reasonable prices. They're usually 10-15 cents below other stations in the area.
Nice place if you're in the area and they have a bathroom for customers and a pretty good selection of snacks and food
Most reasonable gas prices in SF, pumps are super fast. Kinda sketchy pulling out of here on to Fell Street sometimes.
Great price on the gas, but it's always busy and lines get long in the evening. The mechanic there are not too great.
Hard to get too excited about gas, but they have low prices. The lines move so just be patient for 5 minutes.
Gas was $.30 cheaper than the 76 across the street and it had a working air pump ($2 tap with credit card)
For some reason the gas is cheaper here than anywhere else. Must pay cash or debit but otherwise a deal!
Only temporarily Closed. Now open with new pumps that are really nice. still the cheapest gas in SF
The attendant was rude as I was trying to ask him a question. Simply unnecessary for a gas station.
Clean place in and out got my gas wasn't really crowded prices were reasonable everything was fine
Convenient little gas station, excellent prices worth waiting in their short lines, to fill up!!!
Very cheap gas very poor service went to talk to the attendant and he wouldn't talk to me
Cheapest gas in the city, consistently. Cash only is kinda a bummer but understandable
Cheap gas, but the attendant at the cashier was super super rude and very unpleasant.
It was crazy insane. I couldn't believe it. I pulled up to the pump and bought gas.
Love this place , great mechanic very reasonably prices quality work fast service
Air pump was broken and the place was difficult to maneuver through. Not a fan.
The least expensive seems like my car likes it in your wallet will like it too
This is a good place to get gas sometime it gets busy but it's worth the wait
Cheapest gas in sf 98% of the time for last 25 years Always my first choice
Touchless payments and cheap gas, but no windshield squeegees or fluid :(
Consistently cheapest gas station in the area, efficient and no issues!
Easy to get to, and just about the cheapest gas in the City, it seems.
Cheapest gas in the city. Expect some chaos because of that however.
The gas is much cheaper here but there was a little bit of a line.
Always visit this location for the good prices and quick service!
Cheap gas but horribly laid out and the lines are long.
Cheapest gas in the city...long lines always...
I happily drive out of my way to get gas here
Cheapest gas in the city. Worth the wait.
Nice corner locatoon. Good gas prices.
Always good price went up every where
Apparently you need a car to get gas.
I buy gas at their service station!
Easy in and out with great prices.
Good place to get things like gas
Good gas price and fast service.
Best price for gas. All grades.
Cheapest gas in the city! Love
Best cheap Arco in the city
