You would walk right past this gem of a place and wouldn’t know better! Inconspicuous, charming and really affordable for a place which provides great pastries. I couldn’t get enough of it and whenever I would be in the area, I know where am I getting my bread and pastries from. More
The best value for delicious baked goods in the city! Our go-to spot for tasty croissants, danishes, and roti. Never before have I had such amazing croissants for under $4. This spot is a hidden gem with very friendly staff - worth a visit whether you’re in the neighbourhood or not!
Wow. Just visited Absolute for the first time and I am blown away. Fantastic selection of pastries, pies and other goodies. I opened my bag to discover my chocolate croissant was STILL WARM. I am a croissant fiend and can easily say this is
I always wanted to try their almond twist and finally got some pastries from this amazing bakery!!!!! I got almost twist, chicken roti, cream cheese, and poppy seed. Chicken roti was okay, but other sweet pastries were really really good!!!
This is an amazing little bakery. Every time I take a bite of their croissants it takes me back to France. Everything they have in there is great. I recently moved to Cabbagetown and this is the best thing I discovered so far. It’s a family
2nd Edit: Had to edit my review, again, as we've gone back a few times since my last review and have been disappointed. The Palmier cookie was over-baked and over-carmelized, on 3 separate occasions. My husband said the chocolate croissant
Lived near Cabbagetown for 14 yrs. Due to the pandemic since March 2020, I have been walking and buying from the local shops. Today I walked into the bakery to buy a beefy patty and an apple Danish. It was delicious. I spoke with the woman
I go to the Esso gas just south of this bakery/cafe and walked by for the first time today . I live downtown but not in the area. When I looked in the window at the variety of baked goods I was pleasantly surprised. I went in and bought a
My blood sugar & my $pocket are relieved that Ive been living almost in front of this place and try the delicious things they have only 2 days before moving . Trust me : the Eclairs are awesome!!!, the cinnamon and chocolate croissants ,
We were looking for a good bakery to buy some fresh croissants from, and this place had great reviews so we went there and ordered a variety of baked goods. The croissants did not disappoint; they tasted fantastic, with crispy shells and
I ordered a pie with no custard specifically. They gave me one with custard which was found out when it was brought home. The man on the phone was rude and condescending. Kept calling me Mam when I told him I was male. I didn't ask for
I am bit upset on the quality of the "Black Forest" cake which I purchased on Friday,27-Aug evening. The day I purchased the taste was bit different than usual as we are a regular customer to this bakery. Today, after 2 days, Monday
***Updated pricing as of October 2023 in the picture attached.*** Absolute Bakery is absolutely delicious! The highlights for me are the danishes and croissants. I love that there are so many Danish and croissant flavors to
Edit: Had to check the other reviews of this place and I'm not surprised seeing the negatives listed. This USED to be a great place. It's sad. Fix the honesty and customer service and you would have a winner.
Hidden gem for pastries in cabbagetown. Do not write-off this bakery by the looks of it; The croissants alone are a one-way ticket to Paris for your tastebuds. Can’t wait to try more of what they’re making.
I drop in often for an impulse pastry - usually a croissant or choclate croissant. They also have Jamacian patties and South Asian roti pastries too. It's worth asking if you don't see something. More
Their baked goods are my go to for indulgence. Their cookies (particularly their peanut butter cookies) are soooo scrumptious. Get their fruit danishes too! More
An amazing bakery that has stood here for 30 years, run by the sweetest couple who really know what they are doing. The chocolate croissants are a must! More
The tart in the picture was really good, tasty, soft, and fresh. My Ucranian family loved it! Even our all-the-time "unhappy" Pirozhok wanted a bite! …
One of the best bakeries, it’s a hidden gem. Friendly customer service , yummy fresh croissants and other delicious food. Great Pies …
Amazing bakery, everything is delicious! Poppy seed and cheese pastries are by far the most special and my favourite. Haven’t found them anywhere else.
This amazing family-run establishment has been delighting customers for years, and it's no wonder why they've garnered such a devoted following.
Amazing, delicious and fresh croissants reminiscent of Parisian boulangeries. We come back often. Pay them a visit, you won’t be disappointed!
Cheese danish is delish ($3) and whole-wheat bread was fresh fresh (hot out of the oven) - $5.50. But they charge you $.50 for using visa.
One of the best chocolate croissants I’ve had! The bakery so inconspicuous, family run and has a variety of unique pastries and breads.
I really like this bakery as it reminds me of précovid times when we could easily step in for dining or having breakfast.
Places like these are blessings. Love their breads, macaroon, Danish pastries and almond croissants.
I tried their almond pretzel, poppy seed croissant (?) and chocolate brownie and it was so good!!!
Beautiful bread. I highly recommend their baguette or any of their other loaves.
