Stephanie Gibney of Accounting 4 DC LLC was absolutely superb. We experienced a death in the family in March of this year. One of the many outstanding things that needed to be completed was a particularly complex tax return. Despite the lateness in reaching out to Ms. Gibney in the middle of a busy tax season, she graciously took on our situation. She even filed an extension for us to preclude any IRS penalty fees for what would be a late filing. The portal used to upload tax documents is super easy to use, she communicated directly with us to let us know what was completed and that she received the necessary documents. To top it off...Ms. Gibney DID get the taxes done and filed well before the tax deadline for this year's filing...simply amazing! She took what was a major stressor for us and made it go away. AND for an incredibly reasonable fee...we will continue to engage her for all our family tax filings...she is that good! I can't say enough positive things about Accounting 4 DC! Taxes are complicated but the owner/CEO Stephanie Gibney simplifies and explains things incredibly well, helping us get the best refund and ensuring we aren't missing out on any deductions or underpaying throughout the year, getting a big tax bill in April. I used TurboTax for years but once I got a mortgage, married, etc. it was clear I couldn't depend on a virtual service to get the best tax advice. Stephanie is quick to answer questions and helps me throughout the year (not just at tax time!) with advice on dealing with things like selling stocks, how much I should withhold from my paycheck, and how to deal with a rental property. Her services are well priced and 100% worth it - again, taxes are hard!
