I noticed my speaking improved so much, before I would always ask my husband to take the phone call, but now I can do it myself. And I feel so happy :) Because I assaying the V and W incorrectly, after a while I studied how to say these correctly, pronunciation is important, now I can say them correctly and people can understand me! Two weeks ago I went to a birthday party and I went to a cake shop , I had to speak with so many people on the phone and I was so happy because we could understand each other on the phone and I could do all my work from home on the phone. They were 2 Aussies and 1 Indian person and I could understand them and they could understand me! I have lots of information in my head but I had a big problem with my speaking and how to say everything I was thinking. I was always translating and it takes time. But here in class we talk a lot and we use the same sentences 3,4 or 5 times and I listen again and again to the Callan Method Textbook when I drive on my app and I always repeat. I love the Callan Method because because I love it because the sentences are all mixed, you learn daily convo, academic, grammar always, and all the tenses.

I have never experienced an English class like this! It's useful for everyday life. It's different because I can practice my English speaking and the topic is my real life. So, by doing this, I can remember everything much easier because our vocabulary and sentences are about my life. This is very interesting and completely different from other English schools. Other schools are just from the textbook, like a machine. Other schools and classes are ok but can be quite boring. When I finish lessons from other schools, I still can't speak about my life to people in everyday life. ALA is fun and is actually about my life and I can use what I learn. The topic is my story and use this topic and practice my English speaking. Like today in our class, I can actually use what I learned with my staff and friends and it is from the English class I had today. I use the sentences and vocab from my class and it is clear. I can remember what to say when I speak to people. I don't forget. I learn quickly.

I have been taking one-to-one online English classes with Tom at Ace Language Academy and I must say I am enjoying it. Tom is an excellent teacher who understands my learning needs and is always patient and encouraging. I must say that Tom is a fantastic English teacher to learn from. He fixes my pronunciation when I speak using specific letters (ex. L, R, TH) that most Japanese people struggle with. He shows me immediately as I'm talking and explains exactly how to move my mouth. He also simplifies the ways to say difficult words (ex. DR=J, TR=CH). I need to practice more but I'm much more confident saying words aloud. He also coaches regarding job interviews.
