I truly truly truly have gone through a lot with 3 failed operations and my degenerative cervical spine the last 13 years. I know my body more than anyone else. I’m really sorry to write this review ARC, but this is from a perspective who was an Office Manager and someone suffering. I have never ever dealt with such an unorganised place that’s supposed to help people. From administration to actual physical help. They have that many different email addresses from so many people within the organisation that you have no idea what’s going on. People don’t get messages. People don’t get Emails and reports. That in itself is just AMAZING. Like literally I have NEVER EVER EVER been this bad in the last 13 years like I am after going to that rehab Center. I’m an absolute wreck. My whole entire right side body is stuffed since my appointment at that rehab centre, after manipulating my C1 and C2. I have so much pain in my right side of head. Neck. Shoulder. Arm. Upper back. Lower back. Hip. Top of leg all the way down my right side to ankle. Not to mention the ringing in my head is much louder and has moved to centre of head a long with right still. They didn’t have the reports I previously gave them. THEN…. I won’t mention names. Says she’s read the reports. And quotes”””””” Good morning Linda Just letting you know that I have viewed all your reports to date. I am sorry that your symptoms seem to have flared up with neck treatment. If tinnitus is the main symptom of concern at the moment and it seems the upper cervical spine is probable course for this, it is going to be very hard for me to treat given the fusions and degenerative changes. I think your plan of specialist review at this stage is probably the most appropriate. From looking at ###### assessment notes there were no vestibular reasons for the tinnitus to be there which makes it a lot harder for us to treat…. “””””” ARE THESE PEOPLE FOR REAL??? 1. That was what I was trying to say to them at my initial appointment, that I didn’t need manipulation etc 2. Wouldn’t you read all the reports before treating someone? Which I sent to them months and months ago. DISGRACEFUL! Thank you for making condition worse!
I have been supporting a participant and her family to seek appropriate assessment and recommendation to support her living needs. While I have only been working with the participant for 6 months, the family have been working tirelessly to find the needed supports for a very long time, with less than satisfying results. So much time and funding has been wasted working with therapists that impose their own irrelevant opinions in their reports, rather than listening to and observing the participant to make accurate accounts of the participants needs. This has obviously resulted in disappointing NDIS plans and the participant being left at great risk, as well as a break down in her family supports, due to extreme carer fatigue. Since on-boarding with Advance Rehab and working with Analise Bauchinger, myself and the participant’s family have a rekindled hope for the participant’s future. Analise has been extremely thorough and professional in her assessment and report writing and has even gone the extra mile to link us to an SDA Housing provider with suitable availability in a location the participant and her family have indicated they would prefer. If approved by the NDIS, this will truly be life changing for the participant, as not only will her safety and support needs be met, it will enable her to keep her family connections, which is of huge importance. Analise has taken the time to listen and understand the participants needs and has acted accordingly. If only we could clone Analise, the NDIS world would be a much better place for participants. Although the ultimate decision is in the hands of the NDIS, I feel Analise has provided the participant with the best chance possible of achieving her goals and we can rest assured in knowing that we truly have provided the most accurate information and evidence, with thanks to Analise. I will definitely be spreading the word about the invaluable work from your service and wish to pass on my thanks and gratitude.
I have nothing but good things to say about ARC, and I love that even in isolation I can still have my regular appointments online via Zoom video chat. I've been working with Anne via video chat for several weeks now and have found these sessions to be fantastic and just as useful to me as in-clinic OT appointments. Anne helped set me up on Zoom as well, which ended up being really simple to use. Since self-isolating, I've also switched to video chat appointments via Zoom with Lexie. I was unsure about how effective a physiotherapy appointment could be when delivered via video chat but I was pleasantly surprised. Lexie was able to demonstrate exercises for me and then observe me doing them from my lounge room. The admin staff are also super helpful and make it easy to pay online or over the phone for these video chat appointments. Recent events have added a lot of stress to my day-to-day life (as I'm sure everyone can relate to), but I am so grateful that I can still continue my therapy programs with Anne and Lexie during this time!
If you want results first time re SDA then ARC's team lead by Jo-anne Bennett has to be your first choice. I battled with what direction and what content I needed for the process of getting my son Rob independent living through the NDIS until I met Jo-Anne. Although the NDIS has been fantastic and very supportive of my son who has severe brain damage and is also blind, I just could not achieve what Rob wanted and needed re his choice to live independently. That was till I met Jo-Anne through a good friends recommendation. Rob now lives independently and has a very good support team. There is no doubt in my mind that without Jo-Anne Bennett and Sophie Gould (OT) in the ARC SDA team, Rob would not of achieved this goal that we had unsuccessfully been trying to achieve for over two years. I could go on and on about how they went the extra mile to support us, as they did, but suffice to say if you want care, empathy, skills and knowledge and RESULTS then talk to Jo-Anne at ARC.
We can not say enough good things about Advanced Rehab Centre. My husband went to ARC for rehab from a brain tumour. ARC provided a team of experts that assisted across all my husband's needs. Every staff member we dealt with at ARC were knowledgeable professionals that expertly guided a rapid rehab progress. Our primary physio team, Kumbelin and Marlou, were simply the best, going well beyond what might normally be expected. They have been important both for my husband's physical and mental progress. There were weeks where our ARC visits was the primary highlight. Every visit seemed to put us in a better mood. The ARC management team also did a good job, smoothly managing all the appointments and assisting us with managing cost. We owe much thanks to Kumbelin, Marlou and the entire ARC team.
I expected more considering the speciality of this clinic. When I first contacted them to organise an appointment over the phone it was very rushed and their patience was minimal (felt like my questions were being cut of). I ended up having four mobile sessions and cancelled one as I didn’t see any value from there onwards Was the first time using a neuro physiotherapist and I didn’t see much difference compared to a normal physio. Was quite disappointed particular with the price I paid as I expected premium value ($170 for 1hr session) Now that I’ve experience a neuro physiotherapist, will never go again. In my case, would have been better off to see a normal physio
I have attended ARC twice a week since having a stroke in April 2021. The centre has been amazing in helping me to walk again and regain some independence. Anna Biddiscombe has been my main physiotherapist and has been incredibly supportive and helped to make this journey a little bit easier. I will be forever grateful for her input and encouragement. However, it is now time to move on to the next phase of my journey and as I begin to return to work we need something a little closer to home. I will always be thankful and remember the support my friends at ARC gave me Alison, Becky and Anna.
I have worked at Advance Rehab Centre for 1 year and a half now as an Allied Health Assistant. As an employee I feel supported, encouraged and appreciated. The clinics have such a warm welcoming vibe and it makes it such an awesome place to be. I would feel comforted if my family member or myself was to do therapy with ARC. The Occupational Therapists, Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists, Therapy Assistants, Specialist Disability Accommodation OT's, admin, reception ladies, marketing team and managers are all amazing at what they do. My ARC fam (clients and staff) inspire me everyday!
Having worked with ARC for 10 years, I can safely say I have the privilege of working with the most highly skilled and dedicated neuro therapy team I have ever worked with. Their drive, along with the clients we attract, generates the best possible rehab outcomes and creates a wonderfully positive environment. If you are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Exercise Physiologist or Neuro Muscular Orthotist, I can guarantee they will work with you with the highest skill and understanding to help you get where you want to go.
ARC's assistance in improving my day to day and long term health in dealing with my PPMS has been life changing and has improved the quality of my life in many ways. Sarah and Jason in working together and providing me with a co-ordinated program has given me the skills and confidence to be able to re-enter the community. Without ARC and the professional and wonderful staff that work for them, my life would not be anywhere as fulfilling as it is today. Thank you ARC and I look forward to our continuing and fulfilling relationship. Warmest regards Pete
It makes you so motivated, I have had MS for 30 years know and can still walk with walker. I look forward to my sessions because it helps me to keep moving. Highly trained staff very caring. After having Ms for 31 years Advanced Rehab has enabled me to keep moving which I know is not possible for a lot of people with my condition. This is has all been made possible with the wonderful care from Gina. Ceri and Jason. The centre is wonderful with all the equipment to help you achieve your goals.
Eileen has provided expert, tailored therapy for my husband, who has physical and cognitive impairment from a severe stroke. She has created a varied program that mixes a range of practical exercises that can be done at our home, plus some outdoor walks. Eileen and her colleagues are friendly, caring and encouraging. They are also experts at dealing with neurological deficits, and have quickly understood and adapted their therapy to my husbands needs
I have been working with Joss for the last 6 months and have found her to be extremely knowledgeable and professional for my neurological health problems. She has worked with me on an exercise treatment plan as well as 1:1 sessions to strengthen and focus on issues/conditions to improve my day to day living. Joss is highly skilled in issues of a neurological kind and is exceptional at tailoring exercises and activities for my changing needs.
ARC is a safe, supportive and welcoming neuro rehab clinic that offers invaluable services from highly qualified therapists who work with you to achieve your health goals in a very positive environment with state of the art equipment. Can't recommend them highly enough. Since my first visit I've seen improvement in my outcomes beyond my expectations and in my quality of life. If you require the help of an Exercise physiologist, ask for Jake
Jason and the team at Advanced Rehab have been absolutely fantastic for my Dad, who has advanced Parkinson's Disease. Jason visits our home twice a week and goes though a targeted program with him. Dad, who is not one for exercising (notwithstanding he was once a champion athlete) really enjoys his time with Jason and we can really see the benefits in his confidence and coordination. Thoroughly recommend ARC.
The staff at Advanced Rehab Centre are first class. Lynn Tullock and her team have the knowledge & expertise to provide specialised ongoing therapy for my mum, who tragically suffered a brain injury recently. We travel 50km twice weekly by taxi to attend therapy sessions in their clinic and pleasingly, we see good progress with mum's recovery. I would highly recommend them to anyone in our situation.
I’ve been to several rehab gyms over the years but always found roadblocks to really getting in to the therapy. But ARC has a very special mix of high end & brilliant equipment and brilliant therapists. I actually used to be a physio (who did a fair bit of work in neuro rehab) and had a bad stroke in 2007 so I hope my background gives a bit more weight to my review. They are exceptionally good.
I couldn't be more thankful and grateful for the support and encouragement I've received from all the staff at arc. From the admin staff to the exercise physiologists who all know just how much to push you to help you achieve your goals. I've gone from falling several times each week to fall free for over a month. Thanks Marlou and the rest of the team. You're Amazing!!!!
My wife Julie has MS and has been attending various physiotherapy at ARC and wishes to write this review: "Attending the Advance Rehab Centre is one of the best things I have done because for me it has been life changing! Always professional, comprehensive and compassionate care is given. Love this place!"
I was diagnosed with FND in September and finally got the help I needed at ARC. I love coming to ARC as everyone is so friendly and helpful. Natasha has been amazing with the distraction activities she has come up for me. She has even helped with my running as well Thanks Natasha and everyone at ARC
The best in neurology rehabilitation services. Joined the clinic over a year ago and I've seen over a 25% improvement in my mobility. Sarah Sargent (one of the physio's) is so experienced and tailors your sessions based on your disability
I have been an exercise physiologist within the ARC team for three months now. I am very grateful to be part of such a highly skilled and well renowned group of therapists who are leading the way in neurological rehabilitation.
ARC and Anne have been providing OT services via zoom during CV19 . This has ensured continuity of care for my brother who has transitioned to live in Qld. I am so impressed with Anne's care, concern and professionalism.
When I took my son George to ARC it proved to be beyond my expectations because of the neuro physio's expert understanding of his Cerebral Palsy. I feel like we have struck gold!!! Sincerely his mum, Libby Abbey
All staff are very professional and have specialist training. They devise exercises that are unique for your specific requirements and all the staff that i have known over the past 5 years have kind hearts
The team at ARC are fantastic. Seeing how they have transformed so rapidly and professionally to deliver Telehealth across all of their services is great and the new clinic looks amazing.
It's great to work with such an experienced and passionate team. Everyone is dedicated to providing the highest quality neuro rehabilitation with empathy and understanding.
