loved this store it was the best because it started from scratch. this optimistic Somalian immigrant who knew nothing about the place he was living and on top of that he had 4 children at the time so adjusting to a different lifestyle is difficult he also brought a small community together which is very beautiful.

Avoid. I rang and tried to place a large order of hard to get items which they stocked, but his phones couldn't receive my MMS texts/texts so he says. So I asked for email to send order through and he replied NO. The man was so rude and arrogant. Did google search and getting spices needed from mainland.

Second time I've been there and it's closed. Opening hours on Google are different from the sign on the store and today the place was closed, even with the Open sign facing the street.

If you are from Africa, this place will make you feel at home while in Hobart because they have delicious ingredients for making African foods. From Kenya, you can get unga for ugali.
