The Tuesday deal of 3 courses for $45 is amazing. The pasta with 24hr slow cooked octopus ragout was melt-in- the-mouth delicious. Our recommended red wine was - Negromaro - was very smooth. The service is always friendly & attentive. There was also live music which was not too intrusive. More
What a great restaurant. Food was amazing. Photo doesn't do it justice as I was halfway through it before I took it. D,oh! The squid ink spaghetti and prawns was just brilliant. A great Negroni and superb tiramasu. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Won't be the last time I go there. More
Wonderful experience visiting this restaurant last night for the first time. Lawrence and Alessandra were the stars. After we had wonderful and with the real love made food, we were treated homemade coffee and rocket flavour liquor which was superb. Great place. More
My new favourite restaurant in Sydney! Coming from Salento myself, I’ve found the food super genuine and authentic. Plus, service is amazing and the guys are super friendly. I’ll be back soon to try Ciceri e Tria and my beloved Pasticciotto ♥️♥️♥️ More
Went here for a birthday and staff were very warm and attentive, even surprised as with song and candles as well. One of the best italian ive had in sydney, the highlights for me were the bucatini with fig onion cream and eggplant parmigiana! More
Service was impeccable, being there just made me happy because all the servers were happy!!! And the plates OMG they were so cute I can’t like the appetiser plate with the two little sections I need that in my life and of course the food
Friendly service and lively vibes. The menu sets itself apart from other Italian restaurants with interesting ingredients like fig and pistachio. If you typically find Italian food to be too heavy for you, this place is not like that. Their
Had a very good time here. Not very busy but foods are very good. If you fancy Italian foods in Newtown but can’t be bothered to the busy Italian bowl, try this new neighbor with something different from southern Italian cuisine. Staff are
Was waiting for pasta mains and was told when we flagged down the waiter half an hour after entrees that they were waiting for us to finish the appetisers, which we deliberately didn't finish. The restaurant was not busy, serving two other
Albas is by far the best restaurant on King street. Exemplary service, all the staff are wonderful. They know the menu and the wine list really well don’t hesitate to make suggestions for those who don’t know a lot about the cuisine. Great
Amazing food, nothing more needs to be said. Every mouthful of food was just so enjoyable. I'd highly recommend booking a table in advance as there was a queue waiting outside. I'd have given them 5 stars, but deducted one star as we felt
Such a polarising experience. Came for all you can eat on a Monday night. The staff were mostly very friendly esp at the start but the food was just ok. The deep fried dough balls were very dry and the potato gratin was so dry it did not
What a waiter!! Not going to lie we were looking for pizza when we stumbled upon Alba, the passionate manner in how he spoke about their food convinced us to stay and try. So glad we did. What an amazing gem we found! We opted for their
A young Italian chef ‘Riccardo’ recently crossed my path through a work situation and after chatting about one of my favourite destinations Italy and the amazing food I’ve had there over the years I asked him where he and his colleagues
Staff were very friendly and the vibe was nice with live music. The $50pp package was definitely good value. Everything was delicious especially the Bruchetta Paccia, however I am rating a 4 star as the home made toasted bread was very
Truly my favourite italian restaurant in Sydney. The food and service here is always impeccable. Everything from the decor, the open kitchen to the bubbly engaging waiters is so warm and inviting. One of my friends on my last visit is
Had our first visit to Alba this afternoon. We had high hopes with the good reviews and we were not disappointed. The wait staff were super helpful, warm and friendly. The food was all delicious and the music was our era too so loved
We had a pleasant dining experience in the week leading up to Christmas. Can’t fault the service - attentive, friendly and even authentic Italians. The menu is concise with about 4-5 options each of pasta, pizza or main. My pasta was
Craving good homemade pasta, delicious Spaghetti with prawns and Stracciatella. Zuppa di pesce, full of flavour, I can tasted it the fresh ingredients. Delicious and delicate Tiramisù. Impeccable service, grazie ragazzi! More
Alba was probably one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Sydney. The food was amazing, and the service was absolutely impeccable. We started with a Spritz and a Negroni Sbagliato which came with some bar snacks
The staff were lovely and my pasta was quite delicious (had the sausage and fennel bucatini). However, I wasn't a fan of the deep fried dough balls which were too doughy and didn't have much flavour. More
Overall it was a nice meal. Very friendly staff and cozy restaurant. However, maybe I put too much expectations in the 24h octopus ragu pasta, I didn’t not appreciate the texture of wholemeal pasta
Thank you for a superb dinner. Food was beautifully presente, very tasty with generou Portions. Staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. Love music added to the ambiance. Can’t wait to return! More
Lovely Sicilian Restaurant on King Street. The restaurant is lovingly decorated, cosy atmosphere and super friendly team. We each had pastas that were very hearty and filling for a cold winter night.
We had such a great time at Alba last night! The food was very unique and delicious, staff were so lovely and their recommendations were excellent. Would love to come back again More
Service was really impeccable with experienced waiters constantly checking on us. Everyone member of the staff that we saw was speaking Italian, and the food was really authentic.
Food was absolutely amazing, the guy who served us was friendly and nice. Enjoyed the valentines dinner with live music in this lovely restaurant. Desserts are very worth to try!
Excellent service, the staff make you feel welcome. Beautiful sharing platter for starters, I recommend getting the chefs choice. Lovely spaghetti and a wide variety of choices.
Our dining experiences at this Italian restaurant have been nothing short of fantastic. The staff ensures we're received with the utmost warmth, making each visit special.
Ordered their seared tuna for $35 ish. Tomatoes were delicious. Tuna is meh. 10% off if you pay by cash which is nice. Service is awesome (which brings up the star)
The food's taste was genuinely amazing with great flavor, and the service was outstanding. It's nice to find a menu different from the typical Italian restaurants.
We had a beautiful time and experience! We took our 5 year old on her very birthday! We had more meals than I took photos of was definitely in the zone while
If you like Italian food then I would suggest going to any other Italian place in Newtown, alternatively get a micro meal from Woolworths, it will taste better.
Amazing food and amazing service. So unique and tasty from regular Italian food. It really stands out. Cant wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. More
From the very bottom of the heel on the Italian boot - sensational food, wine and service showcasing that region. And live music! Will def be back
