My wife and I worked with Luke Brown from Alchemy Real Estate to buy our very first home! Getting paired with Luke was a god-send. He was very informative on the entire home buying process from start to finish. We even secured our best lender option and an amazing inspector through Luke and his connections. He was very upfront on our chances with some homes compared to others which really helped us to narrow down exactly what we wanted in a home. We tried to work with a couple other relators but none of them held a candle to Luke. It was nice to have a relator that was first a good person and second a great relator. We put in a few offers and began to feel discouraged but Luke showed us many homes and kept us enthused! We ended up seeing a beautiful home he sent us that we thought we had no shot of winning but he encouraged us to put in an offer and WE WON! Now we own a home we could have only dreamt of getting. I won't even consider buying any property represented by this group anymore. When I made an offer to buy, they slipped in an addendum to the contract that allowed them to take my entire earnest money deposit after an inspection. When I got laid off due to COVID-19 and my financing fell through, they kept my earnest money even though I had a finance contingency in the contract by arguing "there was no earnest money to give back because it was forfeited after the inspection." I lost $20k at the worst possible time. Slimy move.
