I use this station several times a year and still get lost. To start with a plus, if you use the station in the morning, the couple that run the coffee shop are the best. The attendants, when there, are also good. The signage at this station is terrible and it is closed far too early. The last experience I had here was downright dangerous. My via train from Montreal got to Union late. I just missed the connection for Aldershot so I had to wait nearly an hour in Union Station. This resulted in my getting to Aldershot after 11:30 pm. Not a time I would usually be getting in and I was quite nervous. There were not many people getting off and noone is ever on the platform to direct you. The doors have no signs saying which parking lot or tunnel they are connected to. I have never gone down the wrong one before but, as it was dark and there were few people getting off, I must have taken one I don't usually take. I found myself alone in an unfamiliar tunnel. I turned to go back up to the platform and heard two other people. One was a single female, like myself, and the other was a young male. The other female, like myself, had been to Aldershot before but had never been in this tunnel. Neither of us understood where we had gone wrong and both of us were quite nervous. We made our way back up to the now dark and deserted platform and went further down to the elevator, hoping that would bring up to the proper tunnel. It did. As we walked along the tunnel to the exit we wanted, the young man began saying he thought he had missed his bus and he didn't have money for a ticket. We saw the busses were still up top and urged him to hurry. As they were the last bus , they would not leave him there. He then changed his tune and said he had no money for food and could we give him money. We were absolutely terrified and ran to the top where my husband was waiting for me. I made sure she felt safe getting to her car. The entire situation was not one that should have happened. Had either of us been alone in the tunnel with the strange man, it might not have gone so well. Every door at the top of the platforms should clearly say if it leads to the QEW side or the other side and the tunnels should also be clearly marked. There should be call boxes directly linked to the station attendant at every door of the platform and the station should not be closed while GO trains are still arriving. The station attendants are not so highly paid that GO can't cover a couple more hours per night. I take the VIA train to Union about 6 times per year and transfer to the GO. I will be scouting out GO stations along the QEW to see the safest options and I do not want to ever get to this station after dark again. PUT UP SOME SIGNS.
My car was stolen as Aldershot GO station. I’m not so much writing this at the expense of Aldershot/the company. It’s not their fault or course, I just know the one star reviews will be read first. I’ve only taken this train a hand full of times for the CNE, and for the first time ever by myself for work on Sept 13, 2022. I was gone about 8 hours and as a regular commuter, I loved the ease of the train and not having to direct my energy to Toronto Traffic. The trains were clean, and the stops are lightning quick. I returned from work around 5:30pm from the Exhibition station, and my Hyundai Accent was gone. I was parked near the stop lights in the very back and in the corner. The photo I posted is the missing spot when I returned. No cameras around there. I’m VERY consistent at locking my vehicle so i’m assuming it was broken into and then stolen. Please just be extra cautious knowing that my car was stolen here. Park near cameras if you can. I just bought a club for my rental.
The Union bound GO train left early! When GO's own bus connection from Hamilton was a few minutes late. But I would have made it if they left on time. If anything, they should leave a few minutes late to accommodate the lateness of their own bus, seeing as it is a continuation of the same line (the bus runs at times when the train cannot go to Hamilton GO). A scheduled train leaving before the scheduled time is about the worst service possible.
By far the most amazing vet I’ve been to. First experience going here and I have to say they are the most caring, compassionate and thorough vet I’ve been to. They take their time and answer every single question you ask. Other vets I have felt left in the dark this vet did not make me feel that way. Thank you for everything you do and the amazing service you provide. We will be taking our dogs here from now on.
No indication anywhere on the platforms where the trains are going. The screens were not accurate. Everyone I came across was confused, and this was just one trip one time a day. Not one person around to help. There were only two ticket booths for a very busy station. Tons of people didn't get on because of the confusion, you could see outside the platform. Worst GO station experience so far.
It's your typical metrolinx station. Virtually inaccessible to pedestrians, parking lot is jammed to the gills on weekdays, single-person bathrooms that are beyond shabby, bleak concrete tunnels, and information boards so sparse you would think that they don't want you to know when the next train is coming. The only good thing about this station is the staff, they're pretty good.
Was very hard to find parking didn't know about south lot till after but I came here just to point out the awesome employee working on Saturday August 19th around 330 pm I didn't get his name but he was so helpful as I never been on a go train even told me what I'd be looking for to get back on to the train to get to my car I am sorry I didn't get your name but your the best
one of the most disorganized train stations I have ever seen. Your trip simply doesn't appear on the informative screen. Indications for OG wagons, Via Rail wagons and platform numbers are all mixed !! Your trip becomes an adrenalin if you are not familiar with this system. On the other hand, he station infrastructure (washrooms, stairs, etc...) is very good.
Great location with available parking. The train service here is regular 7 days a week making it a popular spot. There is a bathroom and a vendor for buying snacks. Although there is an elevator there isn't an automatic door button for entering the station. There are also several bike racks covered by a shelter if you choose to ride to the train.
People can miss their trail easily. One platform has bunch of trains line up and announcements are vague and confusing. Everyone at the platform had to confirm route from people sitting in and they have to let rest of people know on platform. Suggestions: Get your things in line and hire someone who knows their job.
It is challenging to figure out which train goes to which platform if you don't have time to ask staff in the station. Went to platform 4 since that is where I had always caught the Lakeshore West train years ago, and the sparse information I found through google confirmed it. Turns out it now is at platform 3.
Someone please, I mean please put up signs and a track board in the tunnels! There is one board all the way near the entrance and god forbid people start second guessing and redirecting you incorrectly and you want to check the track and there is no sign board or announcements - especially for late trains
The Go station itself is nice and they have staff there that you can ask questions too but this is a very busy Go station and doesn't have enough parking spots. You're better off going to Burlington GO or Appleby GO even west Harbor they all have more parking than Aldershot.
One hour to Union Station from here. Beats dealing with heavy traffic at certain times of day. The online feature for tickets makes things nice and quick for the casual user as you can just walk right on through the ticket area. Finding a parking spot seems to be an issue
The same quality commuter interoperability stop like many of GO Trains stops in GTA. Contains two huge parking lots, GO Bus stops, shuttle bus to Royal Botanical Gardens and VIA Rail connection. Regular Lakeshore GO Line makes this train station busy all day long.
They couldn't have built a smaller parking lot if they were using Lego. Absolutely packed on a Tuesday in mid August (when you'd assume a lot of commuters are on vacation). Mind you, there are barely any spots to begin with. MAKE THE LOT BIGGER!!!
The go train station is convenient for those who want to go into downtown Toronto from outside of the Gta. *But note, there are 2 parking lots, One on either side of the building. #whoknew #wheresmycardude
Traveling to Toronto on Saturday afternoon, impossible to find parking. Me and another 50 cars circling around for half an hour looking for a parking spot. Will think twice before I take a go train again.
Needs way more parking; no overflow areas or direction if full Tight spots and laneways make searching for a spot difficult. Appleby GO train has a huge lot. Way better.
So awesome. The best place for Railfanning with lots of spots to take pictures and everything. Even good for riding the train too, nice people left, right, and center
Go to for going to Toronto for Blue Jays games, CNE and more, station and trains are fairly clean and it's so much better than dealing with 401 traffic
We love beating the Toronto traffic using the Go train. It's a nice, smooth and has air conditioning as well as washrooms. It's always fairly clean.
A quiet Go train station, calm environment, with a big carpool parking lot. Chances of getting a parking space after rush hour are very unlikely.
Great great greT and good job to the new owner for making the move and for being the first to get a job with a good manager who will help
Great train station, regular go trains to union station (Toronto) and lots of parking. Buses can link you to Niagara and Hamilton.
It's your typical station; not a whole lot to write home about. Convenient location in proximity to Toronto.
Terrible signage, just a small tv at the entrance. Ontario transit is a joke.
Easy in and out from the station especially using the back parking lot.
My go station for work good location easy to get in and out of
