I have been shopping at Altronics for as long as I can remember both for my business and personally, in Perth when I was growing up, and when they opened many years ago here in Brisbane. One of the true electronics stores still left in this country that still sells right down to component level. I have always found the staff in this store to be courteous and knowledgeable, each with their own area of expertise. The "older woman" referred to rudely by a pseudonym poster below, I can only assume to be the friendly, very experience electronics salesperson who has served me at another electronics store for many years prior and always has her finger on the pulse when it comes to finding things I have needed, Not to mention she is always good for a laugh and makes it her business to get to know and remember her customers !! Keep doing what you do guys!!

Ordered components today, but despite the website indicating stock available for collection in QLD, got a call to say some was not, but if I were willing to wait two weeks and pay for freight, I could pick it up then.  Well, if I wanted that, I could order it from Perth Head Office myself for delivery direct to me.  I only wanted to collect in Brisbane because I was travelling there in two days' time from further north, so I could get the components quicker.  To have stocking errors on their website, then suggest that I should pay extra, and also travel to Brisbane again to collect is not good customer service.  I suggest go elsewhere if you want people to live up to their published business standard.

Came here to get some little N20 motors for my line following robot. They performed well, however they weren't listed as '12V' on the website, and there was no datasheet for it. The stall current was listed as 1.6A, however, I was running it with a 2S LiPo as the input voltage was '3 - 12V'. It blew up my motor driver's capacitor (TB6612FNG sparkfun), but luckily I had a spare. It would be good next time if more information could be given on your products. I bought a 3S later that day and my spare motor driver hasn't exploded after testing 5 or 6 times. The employees were very nice, helpful, and quick to find what we needed.

Saved about $500 on a dishwasher repair yesterday, not just due to Altronics in Virginia having a $1.75 part in stock, but also massive thanks to the extremely helpful staff there. They happily guided me to the specific part from the catalogue, located in an obscure part of the store for tiny delicate components, showing excellent product & store sales knowledge. Every visit I've made since their opening in December 2014 has been an enjoyable battle against temptation to get more amazing stuff.

Decent stock and prices but a understaffed and the people in store generally inattentive and not present. Have witnessed multiple times people throwing their items on the ground and walking out due to no one on the desk for 15 minutes. Have usually had to google questions about products in the aisle as no one around to help and when they are, not very knowledgable. Have had much better luck at jaycar

I love this place - the staff are great, the store is clean, they are close by. The staff know their stuff and are able to help me in a flash. I have sent through fax orders and they are ready waiting for me. Plenty of parking. Love the Arduino and Raspberry Pi books. Well done guys see you next visit.

Been there a few times the first time a young man helped me and it was a good experience the last 2 times ive had the same older man who seems to have little man sydrome as everything is to hard and to much for him especialy being nice to

Needed replacement UPS batteries, they had what I wanted and at a fair price. Attentive friendly staff, so couldn't ask for more. Also keep going back for fair price good service and range for electronic repairs.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Love the range and always seem to buy more than I came in to do. I do struggle at times to find things without asking for help but it must be hard to organise so many small items.
