"Dale was so kind and professional"
"" ZERO STAR" I went there with my son to check the bikes"
"I looked inside and the place looked worse than an episode of hoarders"
"Guy was super nice and helped me get what I wanted"
"It's true the store does look like a hurricane swept through; it always looks like that"
Dale was so kind and professional. He provided excellent recommendations to addressing two used bike that I brought in and had them fixed and tuned up the next day. I can't say enough great things about my experience with this business. Thank you and it is so wonderful to have this service and bike retails so close to White Center.
" ZERO STAR" I went there with my son to check the bikes. The guy was so rude. He completely ignored us. Poor customer service. Inside the shop was big mess card boards all over. We just walked away and went straight to University District to get our bike. Don't bother to visit this shop. You will waste your time.
I looked inside and the place looked worse than an episode of hoarders. The guy was working on a bike outside and got me the tube I needed but I could not even walk in the store because there was so much stuff stacked up everywhere. The guy was nice and got me what I needed but I will not be back.
Guy was super nice and helped me get what I wanted. Even helped give my boyfriend a few ideas on what he might want/need out of a bike. The store was messy though and hard to navigate though. I'm not sure we'll be back but if you need something quick like a pump or tube then you're in a good spot.
It's true the store does look like a hurricane swept through; it always looks like that. However the owner is friendly, knowledgeable and has great deals on the many, many bikes he sells. He also services all types of bicycles and has a great variety of recumbents and some regular bikes for sale.
Ok, first off, yes - the store is an absolute mess. But don't let that put you off, the owner is incredibly knowledgeable and fair in his pricing, though you should be prepared for some mild eccentricity. This is an honest establishment and absolutely worthy of your business, highly recommended.
Dale who I believe is the owner operates this shop like you would hope every business owner would. He has figured out what was wrong with my whacky rear derailleur two different times and repaired a broken spoke problem with ease. I'd go 10x as far to work with Angle Lake any day.
The guy who runs the store, is amazing. If you need help with 'bike' in the area they're in, they're worth quite a bit of a trip. The bike frame selection is quite wide and varied! Don't be put off by any 'mess'; any bike shop that packed is done so out of love and care for bikes.
I've done business with the owner for over a decade. He is very professional, has awesome customer service, always available and very quick to repair anything including wheelchair wheels/tires/etc. Also fixed a hand cycle of mine, very impressive. I will always go to this shop.
Spend some quality time with the owner Dale. He is very knowledgeable and very helpful and patient and explaining the differences between recumbent bikes and regular bikes. I intend to purchase from his store. I assume there will be a similarly high level of service.
Honest business. Hard working professional owner takes special interest in each person he helps. Charges very reasonably. I will go here for all my biking needs and will remember this Cyclery for any purchase. Thank you for the great experience and excellent repairs.
Some of the best and kindest customer service I’ve ever had. I’m used to bike shop owners making me feel stupid for not knowing something about bikes, but the owner was so kind and gave me lots of amazing tips with extreme respect for me. I’ll definitely be back!
Fantastic customer service. I was helped immediately even though they were technically closed. It is a large, well stocked retailer specializing in Trek and calls itself "recumbent central". Bonus: it's the closest shop to the Angle Lake light-rail station.
I love bikes, they are my life, so to the people who say this "feels like a real bike shop" well I can see some of your point. But I am also a neat freak that worked in a bike shop before. This place almost gave me a seizure. It is the most
We stopped in to inquire about a recumbent trike. He asked what specific things we wanted in the trike. He then had my wife (the trike is for her) test ride a trike he thought would be close to what she wanted. She liked it. He then brought
So, I read a lot of the reviews on Google before i went here and I'm going to have to disagree with a lot of the negative ones. I came here to purchase a recumbent bike, i was looking for a long wheel base 2 wheel below bar steering. I had
The guy who runs the shop is super helpful -- I arrived near closing time with a wierd problem on my old Vision recumbent. He helped out right away and figured out a fix -- using a part scavenged from the huge, disorderly pile of all sorts
Nice guy but probably won't go back, the shop is a mess and cant even walk thru the door without falling over stuff. As for the prices he tried to charge me $7 for a rear brake cable that I assumed he picked up off the floor somewhere, not
I bought a gravel bike from ALC a few weeks ago. Technically it might be a touring bike but I'm gonna take it 440 miles around the Olympic Range on gravel etc. Dale set me up with wider tires, back & front racks so I can take all my stuff.
I love this guy. Dale was the only bike shop within hours of Seattle who was willing (able?) to rent a recumbent trike. My mom flew out from the east coast to visit. At 76, she was afraid to ride a regular bicycle after a fall 4 years ago.
This is by far the most interesting bicycle shop I've ever been to. The owner (dale ) seems to love his work and very knowledgeable. If you are in a hurry, you'll need to take a deep breath as its a one man shop usually, and he's busy. The
Dale has a unique blend of brilliance, knowledge, passion and humanity way above and beyond the person you expect to meet when you go to a bicycle store. When I have a chance to got to his shop I am looking forward to the conversations and
Bought a high end recumbent trike from Dale complete with a battery and lots of extras. He is definitely knowledgeable about his inventory and does a great job with sales. I assure you that once you hand him your money he is done with you.
Really nice staff member. But... We went there 2 days ago, and we wanted to order a part for my bike, He said to come pick it up late Monday afternoon, so we did... And when we got there A sign was posted on the door, that said "we will be
The owner is very nice and knowledgeable but he seriously needs an intervention about the state of his shop. When I stopped in there was such a mess I couldn’t get to the front door. He said he was remodeling and brought me a bike to demo.
Went looking for a used recumbent trike. I talked with Dale for about an hour... we figured out what I needed, i paid him a deposit for it. He will deliver it when I sent him the rest of the money No worries, beautiful transaction and lots
Good first experience. Less than 20 dollars with labor to replace an inner tube on my mountain bike. Good place for repairs, or if you are seeking a new bike. Wide variety of bikes to choose from. If the shop is not busy the owner is able
I love this store. Yeah...it looks like someone opened all the parts boxes and dumped them on the floor following the biggest earthquake eveh, and it can be challenging to get the proprietors time, but once you do.... He's an honest and
Dale is the encyclopedia of bikes and in particular trikes. I love him. He sold me my really nice ride 9 years ago. Taught me everything about it. Let me ride it for 3 days before buying it. He is an angle. I love his very authentic and
A.L.C. was a lifesaver to me and my son, who had shipped our bikes to a different, nearby bike shop to only have that shop close the day and day after we were supposed to pick up our bikes. So, as we were now homeless for a couple days,
Went to the shop to get my tires replaced. Got in and the first impression is the place is a mess, parts everywhere and had to go through a maze just to get to the counter. He took a week to get my tires replaced. Then when I rode it, I
I just bought a beautiful Bacchetta Bellandare here and I am just thrilled with it-- and was very pleased with the service I received. Much has been said about the apparent disorder around the shop, but, c'mon, there's just one guy and
Similar to other reviews, PLEASE do not go to the shop. Very knowledgeable person and I have no doubt performs great work however walking through the door (if you can get in) resembles an A&E Horaders style room. 0” to walk or see any
Yes, the shop appears chaotic when first encountered and yes there is an amazing amount of stuff strewn all over the floor. But, the important thing is Dale, the owner, knows his stuff and knows his inventory and knows where to find
SOMEONE HELP THIS GUY! I went by while I was out for a walk, because the place was relatively near my hotel. I couldn’t believe how messy the place was. This guy definitely has a hoarding problem. From the sound of it he seems to be
Update. Still 5 stars.I'd give him 6 if I could. We needed accessibility parts for an old Catrike and he had them in stock and shipped them out the same day. I can't say enough good things about him! He is better than Amazon.
Get store walked up owner talked with me as he fixed my bike it was cheaper then I thought. Even offered some good life advice. The shop is a little messy but as long as I can get the service needed which I did who cares
Im not sure who I was dealing with there, forgot to ask his name, but such a nice guy! Helped me out with my old bike, made it a super simple drop off and pick up and was so quick and friendly! Highly recommend.
Took my bike in to get checked out after sitting in my garage for way too long. Dale had it ready in 24 hours, all checked out and ready to go. The prices are definitely competitive. Thanks, Dale! Great service.
Just picked up my bike. I needed a new tube and some minor adjustments and lubrication after taking my bike out of storage. Super helpful and friendly. I live in Burien and am so glad to have found A.L.C.
Dale helped me re align my frame on an old specialized bike as a learning experience out of the kindness of his heart Then, last week, my frame broke and stopped over to see what he had for sale and
100/10 the dude out front helped me fix my bike and made it work better then it has in all 3 years of my owning it. Fantastic. Would recommend especially to anyone in the area or folks passing by.
Yes - the place is a mess. But Dale has an outstanding inventory of new and used recumbent bikes (at good prices). If you're considering a recumbent bike - go here first.
Haven't been to Angle Lake Cyclery since it closer to Angle Lake. Great customer service, not sure what was going on with all the stuff inside, hopefully everything is ok
I have been going to Angle Lake Cyclery for too year's and l was always well taken care of. He took good care of my bike. Good people, and good work.. Thank You.
Great customer service. The owner let me test ride one of his electric "Elby" bikes and then said ask me questions about it when your done. No pressure to buy.
Dale is the bicycle whisperer. He understands bicycles as well as anyone, especially recumbents. He is very helpful giving advice and explains things well.
Really good customer service, went in for a bearing replacement, came back a few weeks later and remembered me really nice guy. Very fast and efficient
Dale is awesome. Set up our new Tricycles today, helped a ton of good people as he was doing it. I'd send family and friends to him without hesitation.
Michael B. , Google "Einstein desk photo" I first visited Angle Lake Cyclery a year ago, let the owner know I was not
