I informed AF in august (or earlier I believe) I was leaving at the end of my 18mo contract as I had not and could not use it and I understood I could not cancel early. I had the sense to contact them in November (a week in) to confirm I was cancelling to which I was then told I had to fill out a form first otherwise w they will keep billing me for a membership? Ongoing. What’s the point of an 18mo contract if you keep billing someone? Shouldn’t on the last month you call and ask if that is what they want?! Or in my case note that I didn’t want to? So because I was a week in to November I had to pay for a week into December as I had to give a full months notice even though I told them months earlier not had they asked! I had expressed I am not willing to pay a late cancel fee for a fixed end contract that I already told I wished to cancel but was never informed of the form in which I had to fill out to avoid a fee and filed a complaint with the outcome pending. I was told I would be informed of the outcome. I was not informed. Instead I have had funds just taken out of my account as an answer. Yet again poor communication. Then I received an email when the fee bounce (as I was not aware I was paying for it and had just been paying bills so my account was low) to saw it was over due and the fee went up a further $7 (original was $25). An email to say I would be billed would have been appropriate and appreciated to enable further discussion and or the ability to ensure correct funds be available. I am really so disappointed in the whole experience, I think financially the gym has gained a lot of money out of an unused 18month membership. I think I used it like 20x in 18mo. Is that not payment enough?! Feel my unused membership plus the poor communication surely warrants an exemption but alas no. I sent an email stating the above upset and received no reply just to have my answer made by seeing the $25 and $7 taken out of my account this morning. I am deeply upset by how I’ve been treated as a paying client. I may also mention the free PT session I was promised for joining was never given either, was told someone would contact me about that to book me in for my start up session as well. Again another example of poor communication. I felt as though I was not valued as client nor respected. It was not a lot of money but it was how I was treated. So deeply upsetting. Will never go back. To your reply Kerri to the above. You told me in November they would let me know the outcome of my complaint. Not just bill me as an answer. A notice I was to be billed would have also prevented me being whacked with the bonus $7. Also I told you back in the middle of the year I wished to cancel and would of course ride out my contract as you explained it was locked in (and I respected that!), but I told you BACK THEN I wanted to cancel and not continue after it reached its end (end of November), so mentioning the form THEN would have been appropriate, had I been told and filled it out then this whole situation would have been avoided, you poorly communicated with me and charged me $32 for it. That is what it is. No customer service. From the reviews on here I can see I am not the only one who is a victim of this treatment. I am not one to ark up about this sort of thing normally, only times I have written a google review before today was to give a 5* review for something, but the treatment I have received was truly just rude and disrespectful, so I feel I need to one stand up for myself a little and put this here so others can be more cautious, so you are my first ever 1* review. Also to add. I tried resolving this via phone and email the first two times, and email the last time, and your reply was taking money out of my account :)

This is not an advertisement to use AnytimeFitness Berwick. In fact, I would not recommend this gym to anyone. They continued to deduct money even when they had been instructed to cancel a couple of years ago, which was after the death of my wife. Nobody in the family has or wanted to use the gym since one month after cancelling all linked accounts. Probably due to the grieving process. But according to the gym, it is not their problem, and with good conscience they feel they have the right to continue to collect money even when there is no use (which they confirmed). The rep knew my wife had passed away and showed no compassion, and was in fact rude - even hanging up on me before the call was finished. I had to call back to continue the conversation. It is unconscionable conduct for businesses to continue deducting money from people's accounts when they haven't used their service for long periods of time and the business is fully aware of this. Especially after experiencing Covid. Other more reputable gyms actually reached out to members post Covid as a personal check-in, and to see if they still required the membership. This lot don't even deserve one star. This conversation/fight is not over ... Edit: I did cancel my son's membership at the same time. The fact you have sloppy admin procedures and forgot to do this is not miscommunication, but mismanagement. Your staff also reminded my son at this last visit 3 weeks after I closed off all accounts, that his membership had a couple of days left. Hence the reason he has never returned. There is approximately $2000 that I will be seeking as a full refund and happy to fight for it, as it is very clearly unconscionable conduct on your business' behalf.

I have had the worst experience with Anytime Fitness at Berwick. They are unprofessional, their management is always changing and they do not pass information onto new management. They took money out of my account for 5 consecutive years without notifying me and also took money out of my husband's credit card without permission. Despite providing medical certificates to cancel my membership as I had become disabled and unable to use their services, each time I called to follow up the 'new management' was unaware of the problem and we had to explain from scratch. They con you into a gym membership for years and don't notify you. They lack professionalism as the people that sit in the office do not address your concerns and do not care what you have to say and would rather watch you leave the office. I would highly recommend not going to this gym as they con you into a membership for years and don't let you get out of it. They have caused a lot of problems for me financially and personally, they do not care for your well-being. AVOID! Absolutely disgusting!

Anytime Fitness in Berwick is an absolutely amazing gym and I would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm friendly environment in which to train. The staff are welcoming, helpful and always friendly. There is a wide range of equipment both cardio and weights that is well maintained. During peak periods some pieces of equipment may require a short wait. Recently, there was an upgrade with a huge amount of new cardio equipment installed. My personal trainer, Matthew is extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly. When I began training I was still in constant back pain due to a broken spine years earlier. Thanks to his personalised, carefully planned programs and guidance I have lost weight, have greater strength and importantly no back pain. I really love that the gym has a friendly environment. I was extremely reticent the first time I walked through the door! However, the members here also make you feel welcome thanks to their friendly smiles, greetings and encouragement.

I was with Berwick anytime fitness for the last couple of years. During the whole last year and this year, I couldn't go to the GYM as I have my parents at home, and they are very old. My contract was supposed to end of this February , but they have extended it without any notification till May. They are charging every month. I asked them whether they can freeze the membership for a couple of months, so I don't need to pay whole amount as I'm not accessing their service. But they have advised that they will extend it by the months that I freeze. Maybe they have changed the management of the GYM . previously they have increased the membership fee without notifying me , they are very unprofessional , the call waiting is long, and staff are very rude and unhelpful. We are all financially affected by covid and this type of companies are making money by charging the customers due to unbreakable contracts. I will never use anytime fitness again.

Bad place, Never never will I recommend this fitness place to anyone. Bad attitude, they are good in taking people money, whenever you enter contract, they will never stop removing money from your account even after the contract ends. they did that to my loved one. No apology whatsoever. A mother and under aged were involved - the girl was under aged back then, after 3 years, they are now reaching out for the child to pay money owning? Judge for yourself, left the key person who has been paying all these years for innocence girl. They ven has sent the girl's name to debt collector - How low can the buisness owner go? So if you ever loved your emotional life, stay away please. ATF in Berwick Eden Rise is running a scammer business... they will make you suicidal. So many other reviews with same thing of getting your money from your account. they are most times rude on the phone. You did not deserve a 1 star rating at all.

Absolutely deplorable service and sales tactics used on an elderly person who happens to be my father. At the time I finally managed to get my father (who's 60+) to join a gym for obvious health reasons and regotiated what sounded to be a great deal over the phone, however once my father came back from signing the contract I noticed the agreed price wasn't stated and instead charging him full price. Naturally, I figured it was a simple mistake and contacted the gym manager (who'd I'd be dealing with the whole time, not naming names) asking to rectify the mistake. The response I got back was a complete different story to what we initially agreed upon, telling me that their system wouldn't allow them to charge anything else but the full price, mind you this was never mentioned during our initial negotiation... In the end the matter got sorted however not straight away.

Member since December 2018, signed up for a 18 months contracts $70 a month, avoid signing up for a gym that requires contract. The gym itself is good but the staffs are unprofessional specially the manager, as soon as my contract finished they raised the membership fees to $85 from $70, while AF Narre Warren is still the same. After talking to the manager, she said that’s our new fees, take it or leave, that’s why I canceled my membership and joined Snap fitness Berwick with no lock in contract and $60 a months which is even cheaper, and they do have couple more equipment that I loved. This is not the experience that we want to get from our local gym, so avoid it!! Do your own research before joining AF as there are many better gyms with better deals to chose from!!

Worst gym in terms of the service. Never ever join this Gym. The manager is really inflexible and really rude lady. She tries to rip you off. No ways to terminate the membership early. I saw her comment for a previous memeber of this Gym. That comment shows her willingness not to see any negative feedback. This is the worst gym in this region. I previously have been members of most of the gyms in the area for past 10-12 years and have never seen someone / a gym that is willing to rip you off to this extent. Anytime fitness national customer service is also really useless. If anyone tries to join this gym, first of all check the fine print for early cancellation option which you will be fooled at the time you would sign the agreement.

Anytime fitness gym is the worst place for workout. Management never responds to your emails or phone calls. They don't give the copy of your contract and keep renewing and charging your account without talking you and if you stop paying them they report to credit agencies. No conditions of contract were explained and now you have to pay for year whether you use it or not . Very rude and disrespectful people . They are trying to become rich by ripping off people. We didn't receive any contract and lady on the phone is tool rude. When we asked for copy of contract she said contact head office. When we joined we talk to you guys not head offce. To be honest you are there to rip people off not to make their lives better.

The owner of this gym has only one interest and that's your money. Has not the slightest interest in your fitness or wellbeing. Should be ashamed to be in the industry. I never met someone with such poor customer service, never returns phones or emails. When speaking in person, just talks down to you. The contract is never sent to you, even asking multiple times, was ignored. Replacing a plastic fob that takes seconds to program, $100??? Increasing payment without notice. (Apparently this is ok to do after renovations) The manager was happy to take money while the facility was closed over covid but not willing to freeze the account when I had lost of income because of covid. The manager is a bully.

A really good gym to go to, you can listen to your own music, it’s not a problem because the music in the gym is not too loud and not too quiet. You can literally have a civilised conversation with someone, can hear them talk same is making phone calls over the phone. The staff are very helpful and enjoys having a chinwag as you work out. If they have time. I can’t mention about the personal trainers too much because I have an experience it with the gym yet. for a small gym it’s has a lot of gym equipment and room to move around and still not bump into people. I haven’t been at the gym on peak times so. I can’t comment on that.

As a very unfit IT person who spends close to 14 hours a day on a computer, I decided to break the cycle and do some training. I have had foot problems for a long time and wanted to start with someone who could make sure my foot is protected and ease into getting back to proper movement. I trained with PT Matt, who was the perfect choice and has been amazing and I looked forward to our sessions as it was a good break from my crazy schedule. I would highly recommend Matt to anyone looking to get fit, build strength, have better movement and energy levels. He makes sure to push you hard while understanding your personal limits.

Worst Anytime fitness in the area, the owner TOPS the list. Rude, no manners, talks down to you. If you want a gym that won't rip you off every chance they get i suggest sign up with another gym. Stay away from Anytime Fitness Berwick Eden Rise. They also have a really big issue with picking up the phone in staffed hours..only once out of about 10 times throughout my whole year there did they actually answer the phone and that one time they did i was greeted to the owner and her rude tone. Also facility is quite small and limited in equipment compared to most other gyms with similar pricing.

A nice gym that gets the job done! There are much better Anytime Fitness Gyms within 10kms, but this place is good if you're just trying to maintain fitness and workout in a friendly environment. Not a whole lot of space but theres a good selection of equipment if you don't come in peak times. Lots of the older guys don't put weights away or just leave their stuff laying everywhere after using the machine/weights which is annoying, but I guess not everyone follows the rules! Hopefully machines/toilets get upgraded soon, as they're a bit on the older side now and well used.

very unprofessional & racist manager Today I went for gym Anytime fitness Berwick , the lady (manager ) on duty at 6:45 pm was so rude and without checking the system she accused me of using my husband key to enter the gym. However this was not the case as me and my husband have two separate membership with Anytime fitness. She could have asked politely to check/validate the key instead of accusing, very unprofessional/rude behaviour with the customers. Will not go again, she insulted me front of all I feel so embarrassed. I want refund and cancel my contract .

I can't comment on the gym itself, only the service I encountered . I had a appointment at 10 am when the gym is supposingly staffed from. After waiting at the door for 10 minutes I was let in by a member. I then showed myself around. Still no sign of anyone that I was supposed to meet. I arrive home and try to call , no answer for 50 minutes. I then got a rather poor attitude and apology blaming traffic suggesting there was nothing that could have been done about it. Where has customer service gone???

Requested membership cancellation and still being charged fees 6 months later as I have not been able to attend in person to complete a paper form. Received a very aggressive and rude phone call when I emailed requesting cancellation and a refund. Would not get involved with this gym. Additionally the gym is unclean and always has a bad odour as soon as you enter, staff not attentive or not there even in business hours, generally a bad atmosphere which is why I wanted to cancel in the first place.

It’s hard not to feel motivated and comfortable when you go to this gym. It has all the facilities you need to achieve your fitness goals and its obvious when you walk in that the staff takes pride in keeping everything clean and safe for the members. The best part about this gym is how comfortable you feel, the atmosphere is so enjoyable and all staff members create the most pleasant workout environment. All staff are so welcoming and are always happy to help. Would highly recommend this gym :)

As mentioned by number of users here, very unprofessional and kept on charging eventhough i didn't attend the gym for over a year. called number of times to cancel the contract but didn't process it and then used an excuse to say we only accept cancelation in writing. Ended up paying it to aovid taking it forward as i was short of time. Similar experiences shared by other members shows there is a pattern. This is not the experience you want to have from your local business. avoid it..!

Doreen was very professional and welcoming. She took the time to take me through the gym to show me how to use all the equipment and facility amenities . Doreen is very personable with a bubbly personality that makes everyone feel welcome and happy to be there. I was so impressed with the level of customer service that I am now of thinking of moving across to anytime fitness from Jetta, however am finding it difficult to justify paying 50% more for a yearly membership

The manager uses 2 goldfish for decoration but doesn't provide them basic care like a water filter or any water testing. They just constantly sit in their small bowl barely moving. I offered to provide a filter or rescue the fish but the manager just replied "the fish are fine, thank you for your concern". Other than that the gym is very large with all of the usual equipment, it's just a shame that the fish aren't receiving basic care.

Great gym, well equipped, immaculately clean with friendly, helpful staff. Having trained in a number of gyms (specialist and commercial public gyms) I have found Anytime Fitness Berwick to be an excellent gym. There are a few equipment items (hip thrust/glute kickback machines) I'd like to see but overall it's well equipped and laid out. All of the staff and members are friendly and inclusive.

If you want to lock yourself into a gym membership that offers no fitness plan with no staff to help you with equipment then join anytime fitness Berwick. They have no classes available and when you cease your membership they don’t even give you back the $80 that you paid for you security toggle. When you call them the manager is also rude. Disgraceful gym, could not recommend more NOT to join!

Anytime fitness was second home for me on my short trip to melbourne . Immaculately hygienic , great equipments . I want to thank Doreen , membership consultant , she was so nice to me and guided me through every possible way . Thanks to the manager as well . I will give more than 5 stars to this place . Great new fit-out, worth the wait! I just jumped across from Fitness First Platinum and I must say, this gym is comparable (without the high prices and people taking selfies in the mirror). Great range of equipment (all new and clean), clean facilities, friendly staff... what more could you ask for out of a gym? Other more expensive gyms need to move with the times or fear being left behind!

Great gym. Lost 5kg in the first week and the staff are lovely and accommodating. Matt is a great personal trainer and Doreen is a great receptionist she signed me up and if I have any questions relating to the gym I ask her. Lots of promos running. I try to come in everyday and the good part is it is open 24/7 even when the staff are not there. I highly recommend giving the gym a go.

Pretty decent variety of equipment, however good luck finding any machines / areas to use during peak times which is pretty standard at most gyms anyway. just a shame that most of the anytime fitness clubs are on the smaller side and you are best off going super early in the morning or late at night if you want access to the equipment however overall a pretty good gym

Anytime Fitness Berwick is an integral part of my life. It's well managed , clean and user-friendly. Sad to hear Doreen is due to move on . She has been a boon to AF in that she is extremely pleasant, has a kind word for all the members. She lifts the gym !!! Having been a member of many gyms overseas and in Victoria, she is an absolutely outstanding I'm her role.

Love the gym! Staff are really friendly, the gym has everything I need and lots of space. I especially love the set up outside the change rooms with hair appliances and little things like deodorant and dry shampoo! It’s a lovely touch. I have been a member since December 2021, glad I made the switch, and managed to convince my husband to join too!

Really clean and well organised gym, staff are really helpful and friendly, especially Doreen, she went above and beyond to make sure all our concerns and issue were attended to. The gym has heaps of equipment, sanitary supplies disbursed well throughout the gym, the bathrooms are clean and well kept, will definitely come again, loved it

I've been training in Anytime Fitness Berwick for 1 1/2 year with a Personal Trainer named Matt. He is very well knowledgeable and goes above and beyond with his clients. Gym itself is very well maintained and clean. The equipments are modern. Staff are very friendly.

I have been gymming for last 8 years with different locations. This gym is the worst ever.. Very rude staff. Specially the Manager. They sign up with lower membership fees and later without inform increasing the membership fees. Not recommended for any one.

Grant made my sign up experience very easy and it felt streamlined. Couldn't ask for a better sign up process. Normally gym memberships feel like I'm taking out another mortgage. This experience was smooth like butter sliding across a frying pan. Bravo.

Best friendliest gym to attend! Have recently resigned back to this gym after many other gyms weren’t that great in the area! Anytime fitness in Berwick is no.1 and the staff are amazing they go above and beyond assisting you with any inquiry.

I been AF member for a while now, I just moved to Berwick from Rowville and AF at Berwick is just dated, old and not enough equipments. I usually pay for a year, now I have to look for a better Gym. Owner it is time to update the gym now.

Worst gym I have ever gone to. So keen to get the money up front but no support after. Started to increase my monthly fee without notice and half of the time equipments are broken or Gaffa tapped. Never ever recommend this gym to anyone.

The place looked lively and well equipped. I was met by Doreen upon entry, who was lovely and knew what she was talking about. Enrolment form was very comprehensive, and prices were very reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

Staff are so lovely, been coming to this gym for 6 months and wouldn’t recommend any other gym. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly!!
