Came here for the first time to celebrate a relative's birthday. We were super excited for the AYCE shrimp, boneless wings, and riblets. For a party of seven, they told us that our the wait would be an hour and a half. It ended up being around 30 minutes. Luckily we were able to explore the plaza to pass the time. The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived, but I'm sure the wait just because they were understaffed. We didn't catch his name, but our server was really friendly. Initially it took us a while to flag him down though.The food came out quickly considering how big our party was. It took us around an hour to finish. As we left, we saw a huge group come in. They looked like they were coming from a junior baseball game. I noticed there were a lot of families and kids in general eating at this location. On another note, I like how the walls were decorated with local sports teams and San Jose memorabilia. I was not expecting Michelin-grade food at Applebee's. I enjoyed it for what it was: fried, saucy grub that's normal with American casual dining. Our big group allowed us to try one of everything. My favorite wings flavors were garlic parmesan and extra hot buffalo. The sauces were straightforward, like honey pepper is literally black pepper in honey. Despite its name, the extra hot buffalo seemed like regular buffalo doused in paprika powder. The shrimp was nice and crispy. The riblets had a classic artificial smoke flavor. The fries were broad and fluffy. We went through three rounds of food each. A few of us got alcohol. The drinks were big! The prices weren't bad either. I thought it was funny that they gave us the margarita with the shaker so we poured it ourselves. All in all, this was a cool experience for a first-timer at Applebee's. I don't think the all-you-can-eat promotion is still going on, and I don't think I would go through it again anyway, but it was good just to try it. I'd come back and try their other foods.

While the food was good and the service was prompt and attentive on my two successive visits to this location a week apart, both times there were minor hygiene disasters that leave me questioning the cleanliness of the location writ large. In addition, the placement of a large, flashing LED display right by the entry doorway and shining over several booths and tables is even more disruptive to the atmosphere than the painfully loud music. On my first visit, upon being directed to our booth, we found the table still bearing crumpled straw wrappers, napkins, and the sticky stains of the previous diners. This was of only moderate concern, and we used some napkins to wipe down ourselves. Thankfully, this time, I did not use the restroom. On my second visit, they were properly wiping down the booth ahead of us, visible from the check-in desk, and it was clean upon our arrival. However, the men's room was a horrifying mess. The entirety of the bathroom floor was sticky with an unidentifiable liquid, the handicapped stall toilet was stuffed with paper and sewage over the rim, and the non-handicapped stall door was two inches too tightly aligned making it impossible to fully close or lock. The stench was almost overpowering, to the point I almost wanted to immediately leave to find another place with another restroom. Food-wise, the broccoli in the classic chicken broccoli Alfredo was slightly undercooked and the chicken very dry. The chocolate meltdown dessert came out with the chocolate part at room temperature, but the ice cream was cold and every other dish was 5/5.

Ordered delivery since I'm not feeling to hot and I'll be honest just didn't feel like driving. Ordered the food through the website and was delivered in a timely matter however our soup and sides were all missing. We called to see what happened and this is where the disappointment came in. We were informed our names could be taken down for a possible free meal in the future if we ever wanted to come in. (I was afraid they would misplace it, like our soup and side.) Or they would replace the order and we could pick it up. All I wanted was the French Onion soup so we said that was fine but wondered if there was anything else they could do for our original delivery fee we had to pay. When we got there, the Manager refused to talk to us and had a waiter offer us free desert since we had to drive all the way there, and that was only after we asked again about what happened and what the plan was. Not only that, they told us if we didn't want the desert we should just be all set since they didn't make us pay for the reorder. That blew my mind. I've never been so thoroughly disappointed in an Applebee's before and this has deffinitly left a terrible taste.

This place was decent,The food was pretty good the drinks my wife &friend had were good as well. Went in 30 minutes before happy hour was over . So the place was super packed. They waited some time to serve us or even ask if we needed drinks or anything almost as a tactic to run out the clock, what it seemed like. If the service would’ve been a little better this place would’ve got a 4-star possibly a 5! I’m not sure if they thought we were just cheap but once we got our drinks & food we were pretty much forgotten! Not until the very end when we asked for the check that the waitress decided to be attentive & nice.Usually even when the service is poor I like to leave a decent tip . Now because we were pretty much forgotten I only left a 5% tip instead of the 20% or 30% -40% if great . We were there celebrating my wife’s accomplishment and early birthday which is next week . We got forgotten . Only certain tables kept getting constant attention. I understand people can be very difficult at times but it’s not a good feeling when you’re being treated like second-class citizens because they think your not going to leave a big tip compare to the table next to one’s own! #NotAlwaysGreatInThisNeighborhood!!!!

I give this place 3 stars because I've been out here in the bay area for work quite a bit I've noticed the groups of people especially at the bar are quite aggressive when they drink 2 wice I been approached try to fight or starts off with normal conversation with out it being blown out of proportion to say the least,I love apple bees and enjoy meeting new people and places but past few I been to nothing really changed,we all want to be out and enjoy a good time but not like that it really kills everything,last one I was at people were laughing loudly and talking I simply put a Harley Davidson bike video down and they ask me to lower it like really,and asked me to move to the other side of course I refused and told them your louder than my phone and I can barely hear it so no which things escalated long story short they apologized but it's was ridiculous so yeah I would hope other spot similar to apple bees won't be

Not sure what her name was but we came in with a group of 7 and ordered food and drinks. We finished our drinks first round of drinks which we finished and ordered a second round and our table was so full no one came to clear up our empty glass bottles so we tried to make room for the employees and make their job easier by putting the cups on the table behind us that has no customers. However, as a result of us doing what we didn't know was wrong one of the employees was VERY rude and said " Don't put cups on our clean table in a rude way". What she said was uncalled for & that isn't the way she should have worded it. Normally people would have worded it differently in a nice way such as hey can you guys not put empty bottles on our table. That would be more understandable but what's funny is that the table behind us was dirty so I don't know why she said don't put cups on a clean table

My daughter, her friend & I got there at 6p.m., and it wasn't really busy. It took 15 minutes after we were seated for our server to come by and asked for our drink orders. We decided to order our meals too, in case it took him a while to get around again. Good thing we did cause, 10 minutes later we got our 2 waters & ice tea. 20 minutes later we got our 4 mozzarella cheese sticks & 4 hot wings appetizers. 15 minutes later finally our meals were brought out by 2 other servers. After bringing out our drinks, our server was MIA! I had to stop other servers walking by to get extra napkins & refills on drinks. One table across from us that sat down 15 minutes after we were seated got up and left because of the crappy service. The table behind us asked to speak to the manager. After all this, the manager put a new server in our area & apologized to everyone. We received our bill by 7:15p.m. and it was compted by the manager for the inconvenience.

My server was excellent she was professional and very friendly, while I waited for my guest, she checked on me twice and filled my ice tea when it got low ..as I stated above I was waiting for my guest who was a blind date when he finally arrived and throughout the visit he was very rude to the waitstaff ..I went to the restroom and encountered a server I did not get to see her name tag ..I was obviously upset re guest she was nice enough to calm me and insured me if I needed her she would be on the lookout...my guest ordered boneless Buffalo wings as the plate arrived I too was surprised how unappealing it looked yet it tastes better than it looked. He ordered Buffalo wings with the Bone after he criticized to the server regarding the previous appetizer of look and taste he was rude through out the course yet the waitstaff kept their cool and remained professional.. the service was the best part of my visit

The food was the best thing about this place during my visit. The customer service was nearly non- existent. From the moment we walked in the hostess ignored us as she was too busy talking to a coworker. Once she acknowledged us she shooed us away to bar area (she didn't even walk us to a table). We sat down and server came by only to find that we weren't given menus so he grabbed some for us. After a couple minutes he came by to take our order and seeing how I could tell we were in for a long wait, we ordered everything (drinks, apps, entree) all at one time. When we got our food we found that we didn't have utensils so we had to wait for server to bring us some. There were a group of drunk people at the bar whom were not cut off (on a Monday at 7pm). Two of them came to our table to ask that we sing Happy birthday to their find. Quite uncomfortable atmosphere and lack of service.

Just want to say that our dinner and drinks were excellent last night . Our experience was even better as our server Beatriz was super sweet and attentive . Adding to our great experience was the manager Ronda coming over and checking with us to make sure things were good. We could see with our conversation she is sincere and her interactions with the employees are great as well.We also enjoy the bar area being able to watch various sports. We will definitely be return customers though we travel from Milpitas since our location has closed.

Ordered food for delivery, and didn't get everything. The driver checked and didn't have anything else that was given to him. Up to this point, it's not a big deal. When I called about the issue I was told that I could get a gift card, a free meal next time I was there, or would have to come in to pick up the forgotten items. I asked what happened, and they admitted that they forgot to give the driver everything. I just wanted the French Onion soup, that was literally the only thing in the order that I actually wanted. I drove to get the missing items, which was what I paid extra for someone else to do. At the restaurant, the manager wouldn't even talk to us. Sent someone else to hand us our food and speak in their stead. Wasn't looking for anything free, just some sincerity.

The food is always the same at Applebee's. Love the grilled shrimp and the wings, boneless of course. Service was subpar, waited longer than I should have. Especially sitting in the bar area. I ordered water and a beer. Received my food, the waitress never came back to refill the water or beer. I Ate my food, once finished, the waitress finally came back. I ordered more water to wash my drink down. I don't know about other people, but your liquid should never run dry. The atmosphere felt like a biker joint. The bathrooms where like a run down gas station. Stuff everywhere, if you know what I mean. Not you typical Applebee's.

It’s our first time here and we had a mediocre experience. Bourbon street chicken and shrimp was good. Onion rings in appetizer was okay. It would have been better if the waiter asked for a choice of sauce. Classic Broccoli and Chicken Alfredo was little on the drier side and it was cold in no time and was way difficult to have the cold Broccoli. If you’re here better go for 2 for $25 menu on the last page as you can choose an appetizer or couple of salads and two full size entrees which is more than enough for two.

I dont like leaving bad reviews because as someone in the service industry i understand when mistakes happen but the service we recieved was entirely uncalled for. The busboy who spoke to us was very sweet but the waitress or hostess who we asked about our wait time after having waited 30 minutes was very rude so we decided to just go somewhere else (they were also wrong about how long it would be saying it would be an additional 30 minutes but we had already left by the time we got the phonecall) There's also not a clear spot to actually sign in so we just stood there by the door until someone spoke to us. Still leaving 2 stars because we didn't actually get a chance to critique the food

Slow service, table they sat us at had food scraps on it (had to ask to get it cleaned), no utensils provided when we got our food until we asked for it, host and servers just stood around and chat- not checking on customers, food came out slow, my salad eventually came without any dressing (had to ask for it), our burger (was missing fries), & the servers were not friendly when we had to ask for the things to be done/ provided (above). This place wasn’t even busy. We will never come back here again. Chili’s food and service is always quick & top notch. We just thought we’d try something different but this place made us regret not sticking to the usual go-to.

Rather disappointed this time. We’ve been going to this location for years. And always had good helping of food. This time the dinners we ordered were rather small to previous visits. Their prices were high for the amount of food we ordered. I was expecting a lot more for the Cajun chicken and blacken shrimp. The garlic mash potatoes was barely enough to last during my meal. My wife asked for medium well steak but received almost rare. Come on I know you can do better.

Service was okay. A little slow, but I can see where some people like to take their time so I won't hold that against them. My problem was the condition of the place. We stopped in on Sunday morning 9/6/2015 at about 11:15 AM. They open at 11 am. In other words this place should have been spotless! the restroom smelled and was still dirty from the day before. The salt and pepper shakers had dries bbq sauce all over them. Just gross. I won't even get in to the sub par food and and the over priced soda trying to make up for their 2 for $20 "deal". I knew the food wouldn't be great walking in. I do expect a restaurant to at least start the day off clean.

Felt like I was at a bar instead of a restaurant too many drunk people trying to start fights amongst each and with the bartender. Where's the security guards? I felt like Ms bartender wasn't doing her job she kept those drunk people around instead of kicking them out I guess her tips are more important than people's safety. Not a good look for applebee

One of the ladies in the front when we first arrived looked like she hated her job and didn't receive us with good service. But another girl took over and we had good service. The same girl that had an attitude did something to another table but the manager quickly came over and solved the issue. Not the places fault or the other staff cuz 99% of them had good service the 4 cheese Mac and cheese is really good ! And they actually have really good specials and I end up not feeling too full with having room for dessert !

Went here with my friend the other night. Luis was our waiter. He was very friendly and provided excellent customer service. The food was brought out quickly and he came by often to check on us. Unfortunately, we came in at the end of his shift, so halfway through our meal, we got passed on to another waitress. We would've liked him to get the tip for being an excellent waiter. You guys have an amazing staff member who deserves to be recognized.

Came in on a Saturday afternoon and surprisingly it wasn’t that busy. Our party of 6 was able to sit right away and we were greeted quickly by our server Kylie. She was very attentive and checked on us frequently. Our food and drinks all arrived on a timely manner and our drinks were promptly refilled when needed. The food was mediocre. Nothing that makes this a place you have to try. It wasn’t bad and can’t really complain for the cost. If your lookin for a meal out this place isn’t a bad choice.

Applebee's is my "go to place" when I want to get a decent price sit-down meal for a little more than drive-thru fast food cost! The food quality & service is very consistently good with an occasional error. The key word is "value" or "bang for your buck" The two for $22 meal special. Half price happy hour drinks & appetizers 4 to 6pm and 9pm to close are on going promotions that keep stores very busy. There's no reservations and 1st come 1st served for whole party to be seated at all stores!

Worst experience I’ve ever had even coming from a former Applebees employee.. sat us at a dirty table and then asked if we wanted it cleaned..so I obviously said yes since there were crumbs and pasta sauce on the table, I told the host to please text us when a table is ready since we had already waited 10 minutes and she agreed and wrote down our #. We immediately decided to go to a different Applebees and after an hour of us being at the other applebees, we still never received a text.

Tonight was some bad service! Food came out cold! Both dinner plates! Cheese sticks came out stiff and cold! Not cheesy. Lava cake is supposed to be warm and oozing with chocolate. The lava cake was Literally cold as the ice cream. Like they took it out the fridge and didn't warm it. Waiter never asked us for a refill for our drinks. We ordered the four Mac and cheese dinner plates and they came out with no sauce super cold plates. Disappointed WONT BE RETURNING TO ANY APPLE BEES.

I never thought I'd be writing a positive review about Applebee's, but here I am. I had 6oz steak... and in a resturant like this, you usually end up with something so dry it could give jerky a run for its money. Yet my steak was a perfectly moist medium and flavourful. I'm not sure I expect my next visit to be as pleasent, but today Applebee's have earned a solid four star review for a job well done.

Sunday afternoon 15 min wait about as expected, but we got a great table! The staff is friendly & fast & great. Their kitchen sucks. 45 min for a basic menu item??? If I had known it would be more than an hour for dinner for 2 I would have gone somewhere else. Don't go here if you have anything else planned for your day. Make hotel reservations if you order something with substitutions- the cooks will need an extra day.

Worst Restaurant Ever! I placed online order to be picked up at curbside. The food came with bun lettuce tomatoes onions etc but no chicken inside. Called the restaurant multiple times someone told me I will be reimbursed for what I paid but no one called back. Bad bad service starting from people answering phones to people managing pickup orders and manager who never came on the phone after multiple attempts.

Great lunch deal during the day - all the snackables and more. We just went overboard with our orders because everything looked tempting and we wanted to get a lot of leftovers to take home.

Came in here at lunch time it wasn't as busy as I thought it was going to be got seated right away. The service was very friendly and fun. The food was well Applebee's food. Definitely adequate and pleasant and nice to go to. This location is very convenient if you're shopping or just happen to be in the area. Would come here again definitely. Once again the service was definitely a good experience.

They gave us vets a free meal on 11/11. I had the crunchy shrimp with fries, very good. Many thanks

We walked in and looked around at least 10-12 tables were open cleaned ready to go, and maybe 6 people were in the waiting lobby, the hostess told us there was about a 1 hour and 30-45 min wait. For what!? We had 3 in our party, we drove to a different Applebee's, which had maybe 2 tables available but we got sat immediately at one of those tables Shotty service

Standard Applebees. The only negative thing that happened while we were there, the waitress was moping the floor under the tables next to us while we were eating, before she finished her shift. A lot of dust and dirt came out.

I would have taken out more starts but I understand it was Saturday night, staff has probably been reduced and Applebee is still figuring things out. In the end, we left still not receiving the water service asked for. Over all the experience was meh, but the dinner company was fantastic.

Manager was horrible told him I was allergic to certain foods and was young and wouldn't change it for fruit or vegetables I can eat! Eat there quite often and never had a problem before! The server was very helpful but the manager was having a power play with her. I felt Sorry for the waitress he was very unprofessional.

Overall just a low quality Applebees. Food was lukewarm and seemed somewhat old. Service is horrendous. Table and seats are dirty, food debris everywhere on the ground. Furthermore, the servers lack basic fundamentals of good service. No napkins offered, no offer to remove dirty plates. And personality is dry and dead.

We celebrated a birthday dinner as a group of 15, we were seated promptly but did not receive our dining utensils until after our food order arrived to the table and only because I asked for them, food is generally good there but the service is always a hit or miss, I do not recommend this for special celebrations...

Surprised at how long it took to get our food despite only two of us were there . It wasn't busy yet took in my personal opinion a little long

Excellent service by alondra. She was totally friendly and attentive but not to the point of too attentive. Perfect. Food was good and we saw our table completely cleaned before we sat down. Was disappointed our favorite dessert was no longer served (the apple cheesecake chimmy). Hope they bring it back.

The service was slow. We waited a while after being seated. I think it was because they were short handed today. Our server and hostess were very friendly. The food was cheerfully delivered fresh and hot. The atmosphere is good for conversation. I would recommend for families, couples and singles.

It was yummy.. just had a chicken quesadilla and shared it with my friend and he ordered some pretzel stick things with dip and that was delicious also.. service was prompt and $5 cocktail was a spot hitter on a hot day!!

10:30 on a Monday night, the hostess barely cared about giving us our tables when there were plenty available, as well as conversating with each other like we were not there. The floor was also covered in trash. we had to leave because we weren't being helped at all.

bad service three guys on the server just chatting the restaurant too dirty. they have people waiting and with empty tables they do not have good communication between them and they pass people without order.

It wasn't a place I'd run to. One waitress stood out as friendly and the rest including my waitress seemed anti social, not very friendly. All of the French fries at the table showed up luke warm at Best. They fixed the fry issue with no fuss. I'm just saying

The $1 drink was, as expected, pretty bad but there were some other good deals in the menu. The sirloin that I ordered was crazy good, it was cooked right (medium rare), tasteful and not chewy at all.
