"Loved the aquarium"
Sydney Aquarium is a public aquarium that features a large variety of Australian aquatic life, displaying more than 700 species comprising more than 13,000 individual fish and other sea and water creatures from most of Australia's water habitats. Opened in 1988. The aquarium features 14 themed zones including Jurassic Seas, Discovery Rockpool, Shark Walk, and the world's largest Great Barrier Reef display. Along the way, visitors encounter animals unique to each habitat, including one of only four dugongs on display in the world, sharks, stingrays, penguins and tropical fish, among others. It is a public aquarium located in the city of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is located on the eastern side of Darling Harbour to the north of the Pyrmont Bridge.
Had a great time at the start thought it was for kids only but its not was very busy at the start but once you start heading through the venue some more it becomes more spacious only some parts is abit crowded but all in all easy to get around penguins were the star for me ✴ tips - if your purchasing tickets at the venue go early as the queue is big and doesnt move fast... I purchased online so I skipped it and went around to the entrance which is actually around the other side of the crowded queue - if your with kids I suggest doing the toilet before heading in as its a fair walk through till you reach them
I went to this place twice! In same trip The most beautiful place to be if you wish to visit most exotic species. The most exciting for me - the cute penguins playing around and walking so cutely. I even saw them swimming Also, Dugong, playing and entertaining everyone was one of a site. There were sharks in the aquarium. So dangerous looking amd wild. But it was all around me. Every tiny to huge fish in aquarium. Must take the passes and visit. Penguins watching closed early so don’t be late.
We went during a public holiday and it was so crowded it actually felt unsafe. We couldn't get near the tanks to see any thing and it was hot, uncomfortable, unsafe and loud and you had to fight your way through the crowds to get anywhere. Didn't enjoy it at all. Very expensive considering. Also not all that big for the price. It felt like they were just shovelling as many people as they possibly could with no regard to the quality of the experience.
Loved the aquarium. Layout was fantastic and metering the traffic was good so as to ensure a good experience for all. 4 stars because trying to book this online was not the best, if not careful one could sign up for other stuff. While I understand the need to make money, this experience online was the most frustrating for the entire 10 days in Sydney, every click was trying to up sell. The aquarium itself was awesome..
Definitely worth a visit!! We saw shark feeding and the dugong is just amazing. Turtles to penguin boat ride. Roughly $100 for 2 adults, spent 3 hours or so inside and there is always something to do or see for little ones we took our 18mth who just soaked it all up. Extraordinary walk through tunnels!
A secluded, almost hidden, wharf right in the middle of the Darling Harbour. An easy access to public ferries, as well as water in general. I would rank it my third most favorite wharf, but who am I to judge. The summary of my overall impression of this ferry wharf would be: “whoa, that’s a nice one”.
Great fun for the whole family. Staff are friendly and helpful. Please plan your day and allow at least two hours to navigate you're way around the aquarium maze. Theirs many different attractions to see. Gift shop conveniently located at the exit point of the maze. So you'll be taking something home.
Marvellous except for the jam packed crowds, must take mask, do not go for 11:30/10:30, huge crowds, lots of prams, children people v v close proximity to each other, must be avoided during the weekend 10:30/11:00 spots, weekdays, early morning/ late evening better
Great place to visit, can get very busy during the nights, especially Thursday nights and during summer. However, it is very relaxing. During the night, lights from all the buildings and structures look great, especially when scattered across the water.
There's always some form of activity here. And the number of restaurants available (food court, inside and outside) makes it an attraction with the locals and tourists. Recommend you walk here as there are so many things to see along the way.
It's been here so long that you don't know how much is the same and how much is new. On the world stage level it's not a large aquarium. Unfortunately they took out some of the space for the Wildlife Park & Wax Museum. They try to cram as
Has impoved alot sinces my last visit worth seeing. The penguin exhibit is the best I have see. We bought a day ticket for the zoo, aquarium and ferry at Circular Quay In most cases it's cheaper to buy there than prebooking on line.
Very convenient wharf with parking and public toilet around restaurant and coffee shop near by easy access to the floating lounge with no stairs. Always calm water in secluded area Bus Stop : Sussex St After King St (441-442)
A nice area to wander around in with lots of to and plenty of choice for eats. Stay for dinner to get the best views. There is a park for the kids, but be careful - there are many areas with no rail at the water's edge.
Seeing the sea creatures is obviously amazing but its not like that kind of great thing. Small area make difficult to adjust when it is crowdy. Need more unique creatures in the aquarium, something uncommon. …
Have never seen such an aquarium before. Undoubtedly, they are giving a lot of efforts to maintain the same. Especially, the photos offered by the authority are beautiful and creative. Had a very good time.
it's a great place to bring foreign visitors and a must see for the kids. I think the price is ok. but it is better to get the package deal that includes sydney tower manly sea world and sydney wildlife.
Wonderful aquarium right in the heart of Sydney. See an amazing array of sea life and walk through the clear tunnel with sharks and rays swimming right over the top of you. A must do if in Sydney
Very convenient and well located aquarium. Located right in the heart of Darling harbour, near King St wharf. Good fun, great for the family, well laid out so that you just walk in a circuit.
Superb and next to amazing surroundings. Alway worth a stay and visit when in Sidney.by any measure Sidney is one of the most beautiful exciting cities in the world PB U.K.
Upgraded since I was last here. Enjoyed the penguins and lovely tank set ups. Pricey but you could imagine costly to staff and run. The kids had a ball.
Tunnel type with domes surrounding visitors from both sides and speciality sections such as Penguin world are the landmarks of this beautiful aquarium.
Had heard so much good about this aquarium but left feeling unimpressed. Particular pain point aggressive exit shop you can't avoid pushing terrible
Yep, my 3yo loved it, the penguin boat ride is fantastic. Shark pool has heaps of the beasts, the dudong was shy, but we did get a glimpse.
Wonderful place to experience the aquatic life of Australia. Do take the boat ride to experience the star attraction being the penguins.
Iconic place to visit in Sydney with great selection of food places and other different shops , with fireworks every Saturday evenings.
One of the best harbours in the world. Kinda bias since I'm from Oz. Bit messy atm with the redevelopments and constructions.
A spectacular place to stroll through, proving views of the Sydney tower and the skyline. Very lively and full of ambiance.
Great place to visit and see various aquatic life. Large tanks and glass walkways make for suburb viewing experiences.
Impressive place especially the sharks and the penguins highly recommend this place for families and friends
Интересное место Сиднейский Океанариум. У нас на Дальнем Востоке такого просто нет. Мне очень понравилось.
Getting a public ferry to darling harbour is beautiful trip and is much cheaper then any tour boat
Just not a very good aquarium...if you've been to the Melbourne aquarium then you'll know why.
We had a great visit. Didnt realise it was so big. Lots to see and discover. Great for kids.
Nice place to relax. But sometimes can get crowded with tourists especially in summer
Рыбы и другие морские обитатели вызывают восторг, а пингвины просто милашки. …
Just incredible, the manta rays are my fav, the visit is worth every penny.
Starts off with low expectation but the further you go the better it gets.
Bel aquarium avec le passage sous un tunnel de verre au milieu de requins
