This was by far the best restaurant in Larnaca. The ambiente was beautiful and interesting. The food was amazing, but the highlight was the waitress she was so friendly and recommended us what to eat because we wanted to try the local food. She also gave us tipps like which sights to visit in Cyprus. In general this was a perfect last evening experience for us. The Ambiente was gorgeous, the waitress was super nice and the food was amazing. We spent 3 hours there and couldn't stop eating. Dieses Restaurant war das beste in Larnaka. Die Innenräume sind geschmückt mit netten alten Kunstwerken und zu essen gab es leckere lokale Gerichte. Allgemein verbrachten wir hier einen perfekten letzten Abend und würden immer gerne wieder kommen. C'était de loin le meilleur restaurant de Larnaca. L'ambiance était belle et intéressante. La nourriture était incroyable et la serveuse, elle était très sympathique. En général, notre dernière soirée était parfaite ici. Одно из самых атмосферных кафе Ларнаки. Заведение, сразу скажу, не для туриста, на ходу перекусывающего гамбургером. "1900" это стиль жизни. Здесь очень необычно, по кипрски неспешно и, без сомнения, вкусно! Потрескивающие дрова в старинном камине, десятки картин на стенах - просто какой то симбиоз ресторана и жилища богемного художника. И абсолютно нереальная музыка - здесь и джазз и фьюжн начала и середины прошлого века... На этом фоне хозяйка заведения Мария всегда рада гостям, многие из которых становятся со временем просто хорошими друзьями. В это заведение нельзя "заскочить", сюда приходят, словно в гости к хорошим, радушным хозяевам. А на первом этаже царство пива, рока и байкерского духа в лице колоритного Мариуса. И тоже абсолютно потрясающая атмосфера! Но "заскочить" и сюда не получится - начав с бутылочки пива под AC/DC вы явно не уложитесь в отведенное время))).

What a place! The couple running it have been doing that for the last 30 years - without the slightest sign of wearout. The bar and restaurant are full of cool vibes and atmosphere, and - as the name suggests - art. Unlike your usual designer/ikea pattern, this place has its own unique look, with an amazing variety of items which somehow work out perfectly together and make you feel immediately at home. The personal service and tasty home made food complement the experience into one of the most pleasant evenings we had in town. Plus, they serve 107 kinds of beer! And do not, do not let the excellent, traditional dish Tarhana Soup (yogurt and Halumi cheese hot soup go unnoticed

Un sitio verdaderamente especial y lo curioso es que por variadas razones... Los propietarios: una pareja especial que se complementa a la perfección atendiendo cada uno uno de los diferentes espacios. La decoración, es cómo un ecléctico y abigarrado museo de antigüedades, curiosidades y pinturas (algunas obra de la propietaria). La oferta: variedad inmensa de cervezas especiales y artesanas así como licores en la parte inferior, ambientado todo ello con música blues y rock. Amplía terraza... En la parte superior comida casera tradicional chipriota ambientada con jazz. Bonitos comedores y posibildad de cenar incluso en unos floridos balcones. Atención super amable y cercana en las dos zonas. Precios muy razonables.

Officially one of the most beautiful restaurants and bars I have ever been to. The bar downstairs is inspiring with the unique vibes and hundreds of beers and whiskeys. The second flood is just an amazing restaurant. The food super delicious, we tried the cooked lamb with spinach, rice and potatoes. wine is great and the atmosphere is difficult to explain with words it could only be felt. Every detail is just fantastic, I am so happy the place was open and we could enjoy the art there.

Voilà un lieu particulièrement atypique et chaleureux à Larnaca. Une façade originale et une décoration intérieure en complète adéquation avec le nom de l’établissement. Marios et sa femme Maria se donnent du mal pour marier le plaisir des yeux aux arts de la table. Le bar, au RdC, est majestueux et regorge de pépites savoureuses. Le premier étage est réservé au restaurant, dans une atmosphère tamisée riche de peintures et objets artistiques d’époque. Les plats sont simples et délicieusement assaisonnés. J’ai apprécié la salade de poulpe, la fricassée d’agneau et la crème glacée aux prunes confites. Tout était très bon. N’hésitez pas à vous arrêter là.

A unique artistic small bar with a rock and blues music vibes atmosphere. The decor is classic and comfort. The stuff is polite and the owner Mario is a maestro of making you feel welcome. At the first floor , you can dine home-cooked dishes by the co-owner Maro.

My second visit after a few years absence. Sadly l was disappointed. This place is now a total tourist trap. I write this as a Cypriot the food was not nice. Our two mains tasted the same both were drenched in cumin and tomato sauce. Nothing Cypriot or even imaginative about these dishes. They cater for British tourists who think smothered in cumin is the sum of our cuisine. If you want to eat Cypriot food go elsewhere. The starters were better but just average with a 50% mark up. The service was fine and the atmosphere and venue nice.

Do not miss this restaurant! It is exquisitely decorated, brimming with character, complete with 107 beers to try at their hip, old-school downstairs bar, and a small but delicious selection of authentic dishes served upstairs. It's worth dining here just to experience the beautiful restoration of this 1900 town house. Nothing else like it in Larnaca (we went back twice).. (Note: only open for dinner)

The hidden gem of Larnaca. Truly and sensory overdrive. The place is unbelievable. From outside it seems like your local pub. But once you open the door its a complete different world inside. The bar downstairs is your rock and blues haven. Hundreds of different beers and whiskeys (even some that are not in production anymore). Upstairs is complete different vibe. Its like stepping into 1900's Paris. The design, music and service were exceptional. And the food was to die for. Must try experience!

The place has a bar at the first floor and a restaurant at the second. The bar is a funnier (and cooler, too) place to have a seat. 150 kinds of beer and more than a hundred kinds of whiskey give a great choice. There’s also wine available if you want some. Lovely atmosphere and music. The food is not too tasty though. Good diner level, but not a restaurant one. But portions are big, we couldn’t even finish ours. The staff is friendly, the bar owner is an interesting person. Ask him about his Jack Daniel’s collection, he will be happy to show it to you.

Larnacas klart bästa pub. Ett fantastiskt utbud av hantverksöl, speciellt belgisk. Man brygger även en del egen öl och Session ipan var helt okay. Imponerande samling av saker som reklamskyltar, smurfar, Absolut flaskor och mycket mycket annat. Enbart detta gör att det är värt att besöka stället. Musiken är riktigt bra, även om den kan bli lite högljudd. Det enda problemet är att uteserveringen är lite liten och stolarna inte allt för bekväma. Mycket trevlig personal och utmärkt service.

Great bar, staff were super nice and helpful. Unique decor, and soft jazzy music. But the best part was definitely the food! We ordered the lamb special and filled vegetables (veg) and both dishes were amazing! We also tried a local soup and got a desert. They have a great beer selection, we got awesome beer recommendations to go with the food and everything was just superb. Couldn’t recommend more

Excellent restaurant. Situé dans le centre de Larnaca, le décor de ce restaurant est atypique. Nous avions l'impression d'être dans une brocante cosy et nous avons adoré. Très bonne musique jazzy également. Assis au balcon, le repas était délicieux, nous avons pris le plat du jour (cf photo). La serveuse était très aimable. C'est également un bar où il y règne une bonne ambiance dans une ville qui en manque quelque peu. Si vous devez manger à larnaca, privilégiez cet endroit.

Wonderful place with a climate of 20’s. Delicious local wine and baclava with ice cream. We came just for a dessert and a glass of wine while it was raining outside and we are not regretting. Downstairs there is a pub and upstairs a restaurant. We saw also the food that the people were eating and they were looking amused. Very friendly staff taking care of each customer. Nice music well impregned into the place. We come back to this place without hesitation.

We came there in Wednesday evening and got a nice table in the corner. Room design was unusual. There were many pictures, jazz music, dark light. Stuff was very pleasant and tried to give many attention to us. We ordered beef, chicken. For me both dishes were too heavy. Beef were hard to chew. Music was too loud. I think this cafe is good for pastries in companies, when you first drink and then eat, but not for romantic evening.

A really nice place both as a bar (ground floor) and restaurant (1st floor), where one can enjoy either the bar atmosphere or the calmness of a quiet restaurant). The whole place - around for 30 years, an institution in town - is very cosy, warm and beautiful, reflecting the artistic and friendly nature of the owners. Huge selection of beers from all over the world, plus very good home-made food. Highly recommended!

I am obsessed with this gorgeous restaurant/bar. The interior is so cozy and covered with art and interesting collectibles. The atmosphere and vibes are soooo nice, I love how the owners Maria and Marios are so friendly and make an effort to connect with their patrons! I got the 1900 signature cocktail and Maria’s homemade lemon liqueur, both so delicious. Thank you so much and I can’t wait to come again soon.

В ресторане не было, но бар на первом этаже... Для меня это лучший и самый настоящий бар в Ларнаке. Атмосфера, выбор пива и виски - на самом высшем уровне. Ресторан на втором этаже выглядит также очень уютно, но я пока не успел там поесть, поэтому про еду ничего сказать не могу.

Never seen a bar/restaurant like it Atmospheric...is it a museum?!! Over 100 beers...similar for whisky!! 13 to choose from just Islay! Polite, helpful staff. Food was good. Delicious Greek salad, and my lamb was soooo tender. Real fire for winter....highly recommended!! Only negative I'm not sure potatoes and rice go together....for me it's one or the other!! Will be back!!

Quirky, interesting little restaurant/bar crammed full of paintings, photographs and prints. Good food - I highly recommend the traditional deserts of preserved fruits in syrup. They do a bit of everything, including making their own beer.

It's a great place, great service and a plethora of Cypriot and Imported beers to taste. The only significant downside, it's people smoking indoors on the ground floor. Smoking indoors is prohibited according to the Health Protection Act of 2002. The management should consider enforcing the smoking indoors ban.

Nettes kleines Lokal, mit wohl einer der größten Bier und Whisky Auswahl in Larnaka. Das Ambiente ist gewöhnungsbedürftig, stört aber nicht, das Essen ist gut und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Werd da auf jeden Fall öfter hingehen.

Extensive selection of world beers (mostly Belgian and German) at reasonable prices. Their own/local session IPA is quite good and should be tried. One of the oldest and most unique pubs/restaurants in Larnaca and Cyprus in general. If you are ever visiting the island make sure to add Art Cafe 1900 on your 'Must Visit' list. Super friendly staff, delicious, beyond belief homemade food and a selection of beer, wines and spirits out of this world. Highly recommend.

This is my favourite cafe in Cyprus by far. The decor is awesome! The food is delicious and very comforting, and we felt we had a taste of Cyprus (unlike the many tourist themed restaurants around the island). They also help us with the wineries that would suit out taste buds. Thank you all at 1900

Man findet an sich alles mögliche an Bier und anderen Alkoholsorten. Ich habe selten so eine umfangreiche Getränkekatte gesehen! Unscheinbar, jedoch empfehlenswert. Super Zufallsfund! Der Barkeeper ist ebenfalls sehr freundlich. Man trifft Leute aus allen möglichen Ecken. Ein Besuch lohnt sich :)

Прекрасное место! Очень не приметно с виду, но внутри, а особенно второй этаж, безумно атмосферно! А картины на стенах можно рассматривать очень долго. Вкусная еда, особенно блюдо стифадо, никогда не ела такой вкусной говядины. Вкусное домашнее вино. Очень приветливые официанты.

Great place, good atmosphere, the staff is very friendly. We liked the music (mostly 80s) and a lot of varieties of beer to taste. It's allowed to smoke inside, which is not my favourite, but the ventilation is making it less worse. Definitely recommend the cocktail "PJ's".

Kind of Irish Bar, very cosy atmosphere, imagine a drink and you can have it, I love this place, not to be missed when visiting the city.

The food is excellent and traditional. They have the best beer selection in Larnaca. Would recommend the Art Cafe 1900 IPA! Quirky interior as you'd expect

I really liked this local bar especially the funky decor. There were a large variety of drinks especially beers and whiskey. I would definitely go back to try out the restaurant next time we are in town.

Very friendly service and interior. Vegetarian dishes available, tasty and made with care but not outstanding delicious (three stars for the food and one for the staff). But it was very comfy here.

De sfeer krijgt 5 sterren, alleen het toilet was al foto waardig, maar het eten was echt geen aanrader. We hadden beiden de daghap. Personeel wel super vriendelijk.
