This is a great place to explore Arts District from. Easy walk to great theater, events (saw "Happy Days" by Beckett at Las Vegas Theater here. Fantastic, deep, challenging theater). First Friday art walk is a must. Something fine and cultured to do AWAY from the commercialism of the strip too. Park here and explore. Check out Las Vegas Theater. The night I went there was a very cool hipster car show sponsored by local radio station. Always something cool around here. Walk to good pizza, thrift stores and MONSTER store (my fav). Las Vegas needs to put more money into this area. I would also like to see a lot more small art galleries. Housing and studio space for artists to work and show their stuff. That would really make this a top destination.
Downtown Las Vegas. It was my first time visiting it. Interesting Place full of murals and art. PARKING : Hard to find ! ℕ ℕ 》It is the name of a public art. It is a 10-foot Styrofoam cat. It’s a cartoonish, wonderful love-slob of an ambassador for the envisioned First Street Art Trail. The Artist, Jesse Smigel, conceptualized his sculpture as a photo op, its face all goofy pleasure while giving a tongue-bath to anyone who gets close.
I only attended a show at the Artifice. Local band Dark Black killed it. Incredible songwriters. Death Bells was just an absolutely euphoric and driving performance. Both artists were fantastic. But the area itself was an intersection of a thriving nightlife. Two - three or more bars/joints meeting at one point. Other art studios (I think) and such. You truly have your pick of the litter here.
Saw the Las Vegas Masters of Magic show. Great little act, very audience centered given the small venue, and the performers had really good energy. Show consisted of close up card, rope, and coin tricks with other more involved acts. Magician and assistant (his wife) are personable and charismatic. They enjoy interacting with participants before and after the show. Had a really nice time.
nice event (First Friday). no cover free, food truck display was nice. We had chix on a stick which was not great (lacked flavor)& their noodles were too oily. Another truck sold bulgogi fries& Poké nachos which were AWESOME! Had garlic fries, corn dogs, and Nathan beef hotdogs which were also yummy. Ended the night watching folks sing karaoke on a stage
❤️The ARTS DISTRICT on 1st Street % SWEET PLACE . DIVINE hook ups & flows & GATHERINGS of RESOURCES & JOURNEY SHARING with like-minded CREATIVE SPIRITUAL LOVING GENIUS PEOPLE. There's a little something for everyone in this area. I mainly come to 'Art Square' for the bars. The parking lot can get kinda hectic/messy at night and on the weekends with people getting blocked in. They improved the walkway Infront of Artifice on the south side of the complex to much acclaim!
If you find yourself at Art Square, stop in and see what Ruben is doing. He's a light painting photographer. I was impressed with what he can evoke in you out of a little light. He also does photo experiences. Well worth it, and he's got some great stories. Go in and see for yourself.
We went to First Friday with our 8 year old. This is great until about 8pm. Then it becomes more adult focused. The smell of weed was very strong in some areas. Lots of drinking too. Tried food trucks and Domazing and Nic's Shrimp House is the best shrimp I have ever had.
Very isolated on Sundays unless you have a show to attend or a group of friends to eat with at one of the many eateries or bars. Lots of roadwork on the side streets now. Watch the STOP signs.
Absolutely loved it. Mural hunting is my favorite in every big city I go to. Would highly recommend to plan 2 hours to look and shop around the area. Never know what treasures you might find.
Super cool place but the management needs to do something about the Courtyard. The sidewalk you couldn't even walk on without falling in busting your face. I say that because it happened.
I love my city LV ARTS DISTRICT IS A PLACE OF EXPRESSION LOVE LIGHT ENTERTAINMENT AND A PLACE BRILLANT MINDS CAN COME TOGETHER AND ARTISTICALLY VIBE AND RESPECT EACHOTHER!!!!!!!!
It's a great outside venue plenty of food and live music. Nice place for couples to spend a few hours on the first Friday of the month. For this time of the year dress warm.
Disney land for adults, old pop art pretending to be contemporary. Evil Empire repetitive, nothing new Get a clue, lame posers repetitive repertoire Overpriced rip off art
Super great vibe, glad I was able to find this place by chance during my visit to Vegas. Very ecclectic crowd. A nice change compared to the typical Vegas nonsense.
The Las Vegas Magic Theater was AMAZING. Both my kids participated and were mesmerized especially our daughter. Magician is wonderful. You won't be disappointed.
Great night out for friends/date night. Amazing food, worth the lines. Parking was a lil frustrating and pricey but it town a basically a party so all good .
Such a cool district, a hidden gem. Galleries, bars, entertainment,. The Burlesque hall of fame is here. Next time I'm here, I'll be checking this out.
What a wonderful magic show. Very entertaining. Amazing slight of hand. Loved the rope trick. Many many memories made tonight! Thank you so much. …
I really enjoy walking around the Arts District. A pro tip: there is some great graffiti art in the alleys south of Charleston on both sides of Main
A bit quiet for a Thursday night, went for dessert @ Freeds, coffee from Makers & Finders & see a variety show @ Artifice. Had a good time. …
Awesome trendy place starting to revive that part of Vegas the rental agent if very friendly I would definitely rent a space in this location
Very cool, relaxed, and so much art to see and friendly artisans to chat with. Had a great time and going back for the "First Friday" event.
Art, art, art plus restaurants, shops, classes, and more conveniently located Downtown. A great place to spend a relaxing and fun afternoon!
Incredible! The artistic talent in our local community is outstanding and First Friday offers a great way you view and showcase works!
My son and I have gone here 2 months in a row and we love how different each month is. We cannot wait to go this upcoming March!!
Lots of great art galleries. lots of fun on First Friday. Great food vendors and restaurants nearby overall great experience.
Went to First Friday here. It was so crowded and the odor of Marijuana was overwhelming. We had to leave after 30 minutes.
My favorite part of Las Vegas. Away from the tourist, drunken masses and girls fighting with their boyfriends lol
First Friday was cool but smaller than I expected. Food truck prices on the high side. Water was $3. We had fun!
Was wonderful. Brought my niece and my sister to a photoshoot for my niece. Stay with them. Wonderful people.
Beautiful night for first Friday. Loved the featured artist at the Meow Wolf tent. #horrorcot & #masonrubio
First Friday is definitely something everyone should go to at least once. Tons of local artist and shops.

Not much here. Seems like it had grown into a place but then fell into disuse
Great places and cheap alchohol places every where!! Great local hotspots!!
Eclectic mix of bars, shops, restaurants & one of the best salons in Vegas.
