Caught ferry from Circular Quay. Enjoyed the museum. It was great being able to board a submarine and the other vessels that are moored there. Well done for preserving parts of our history and the volunteers that are working there, are both knowledgeable, and very pleasant.

Great going on all the ships and submarine. The inside museum was good as well with the photographer of the year exhibition. Although if the exhibition wasn't there then there would be that much. I feel like there could be more in there about Australian naval history. More

Hands down one of the best museums I've ever visited! The boat ride through Sydney harbour alone was worth the ticket price. Seeing the boats and hearing all the great information from the volunteers made the visit truly epic. I sincerely recommend paying it a visit! More

I enjoyed the marine photographer competition display that they had. $25 per person entry. I see lots of families here with kids - there is a huge Lego making workshop for kids here during the time I visited. The line to purchase a ticket was slow moving. More

A pretty big museum right in the middle. It ain't free but an opportunity to get inside a submarine and warships. Great art work and photography exhibited. Kids have the chance to make lego ships and also another place to make lego reefs. More

We had an extraordinary experience there. The day that we visited the museum was a public holiday and we had been waiting 30 min to get to the submarine. It was worthy to wait that long queue. Staff and volunteers are friendly and they were

I visited the Maritime Museum with general admission, which limited me to the free areas, but I must say it was a delightful experience. The museum was not only informative but also a lot of fun. A highlight of our visit was meeting David,

Our family ended our holiday cruise vacation and needed to spend the day occupying ourselves until our nighttime flight home. I found the National Maritime Museum was only about a 10 minute drive from the cruise terminal and we literally

The museum is nice with plenty of history in it, the Navy ship and Submarine are great for the kids to explore however more modern Naval ships would be nicer. The old Tall ships are great to explore too but the exhibits inside the museum

The outdoor displays of real military marine vessels makes this museum stand out. The ships appear to be in great condition and there is knowledge staff onboard each vessel to offer visitors information and answer questions you may have.

An interesting museum with lots to see. Inside, there are a few floors venting the galleries. These have information about the maritime history of Australia. There is lift and/or ramp access to all galleries, the wharve, and the viewing

Great for the boys (6 and 3yrs). Wait for the submarine was long so we skipped it - too hard to wait in line so long with little kids. But otherwise all good. Buy a ticket online to save the entry queue. We went during the Summer school

So much more to see than we realised and entry was reasonably priced. They had great school holiday programs (weaving, lego, sensory) and it wasnt too crowded for holiday time either. Be prepared to sqeeze through small spaces and steep

There were enough things to experience for hours. However, it will be more interesting to people who care about the history and development of maritime technology. You are not going to see high-tech stuff from the navy nor the very old

A modern maritime museum with some captivating exhibits — highlights include a submarine walkthrough, battleship tour, and a SUPER widescreen education theatre. A fun, somewhat brief, voyage through seafaring wonders! ⚓ More

Visiting this museum mostly leans visiting real ships and a submarine, explained by experienced marine staff, which is worth more than any word. However, I was expecting a history of vessels inside, which was not the case.

What an awesome experience! Love looking through different types of vessels and seeing what on board life was like. The Lego displace was full and well built. Also, the wildlife photographer displace was spectacular. More

A great place to spend a few hours, especially with kids. There are 4 different ships on the water that one can go on and explore, including a submarine - HMAS Onslow. In the actual museum, the exhibits are detailed More

We came from Taiwan for a family trip with some relevance to learning/education rather than just on leisure.
