There is a saying "never write an angry e-mail", and the same can be said for a review. It has been a couple of weeks, since I had the most horrific experience in customer service and workmanship. AutoMagic was appointed by my insurer following a minor incident. At first they seemed extremely professional and their communication was excellent. It then all changed when AutoMagic failed to complete the job on time - in fact they were 4 days late! When I finally received my vehicle, they mismatched the paint. They sent my rim to a supplier that does not specialise in that specific rim. I made AutoMagic aware of this and they told me to go the supplier they used for clarification! I did exactly this and returned to AutoMagic to reiterate what this supplier told me. I was met with unbelievable hostility and accused of making assumptions and that I do not know what I'm taking about. I instructed my insurer to put a hold on any payment to AutoMagic and requested an assessor to come and view the botched paintwork on the body and mismatch of the rim. AutoMagic's head office intervened, an independent paint specialist was appointed and it was found that AutoMagic's workmanship was in fact extremely poor. Customer service and attention to detail are aspects that this franchise is unfamiliar with. AutoMagic was forced to redo the work, and at the same time I requested that they quote for another job (which I also requested a quote for when my vehicle went to them the first time). I received my vehicle a 4 days later (their Head Office did arrange for a courtesy car), and I enquired as to why they failed to quote on the second job. The owner instructed his receptionist to inform me that they refuse to do any other work for me. What a cowardly thing to ask of an employee! Pfft! To everyone out there - if your insurer wants to appoint this particular franchise, RUN THE OTHER WAY!!

I had a bad experience in this place.The manager/owner of this place is very arrogant,self centered and has no customer service. I booked my car for repairs in this place and had to wait three weeks to get my car with no communication or update from their side. When I was finally called to come and collect on the 3rd week,I found out that some damage was not not done although it was inspected and quoted. I had to go back and forth with the owner about why it was not done and he didn't have the decency to accept his failure,nor did he apologize for the inconvenience he caused to me. I then submitted a formal complaint to my insurer. When he was confronted by my insurance,instead of apologizing he threatened me with legal actions.Bad bad service. I informed my insurer to send me to another service provider in the future.

AutoMagic is easily accessible. They have a nice reception area with a sanitizer. The reception lady is very professional and very kind. She explained all the vehicle reception processes and linked me with a technician immediately. The technician was quite thorough with the inspection of my vehicle and also explained the repair processes so that I know what to expect from them. After I had finished handing over my vehicle, I was given a lift back home by another courteous employee of AutoMagic. I wish to express my gratitude for the service I received from them today.

Pathetic-they repaired my right rear door and right rear bumper but they damaged the rubber around the window above the right rear door badly and did not say a word about it and I can’t believe they did not see it cause it is quite visible on the eye..they did promise to fix it but I’m hesitant to take it back to them cause it seems that quality control is not important to them and I’m scared to take my car back to them. I’ll not advise anyone to take their cars to them.I’ll take it up with Budget insurance who referred me to them.

Obtaining a quote was so easy and quick; I booked my car in for body repairs & spray paint after a bump to the side and received my car back in perfect condition - as if it was brand new again - a day earlier than anticipated, which I was very thankful for! I took my car in for a body repairs. I must say that these guys exceeded my expectations. The car is now brand new. I was also impressed by their NEAT offices, workshop (very neat) and staff. The service I got from them was horribe to say the least, poor customer service!!. No feedback was provided to me as promised. Took my vehicle to Auto Magic. Waited almost two months before my car was fixed. Once they had capacity to do the job it took another 3 weeks. My bonet was scratched to which they wanting another R6000 for and I refuse to pay for it. My A pillar is also stil skew from the accident. Stay away from AutoMagic
