Ava Jane was a godsend of a wedding make up artist. Her work is absolutely stunning! She was amazing from day one. Always very prompt to reply to emails and calls, always very patient in answering questions. Ava Jane completed my hair and make up for my wedding day and also did my bridal party’s hair and make up. I felt my absolute best on my wedding day with thanks to her work. I looked amazing from minute one all the way til midnight! She also did a fantastic job of taking the stress off the bride by coming up with a really helpful on the day schedule for the order for hair and make up. She even shared her tips and tricks blog post for getting ready for the big day. She was accomodating to include my mother in law in her schedule as a last minute change and also put my bridesmaid at ease who is really uncomfortable wearing too heavy make up - finding an amazing middle ground for her that she still raves about as the best she’s felt in make up ever in her life. As a makeup novice, I had no idea where to start when it came to booking hair and makeup for my wedding. Jane was recommended to me, and I am so so pleased I got to have her play such a big part of my wedding day! Right from the beginning, Jane was transparent about pricing, provided helpful information via email and went to a great effort to make sure the service was tailored to me and my preferences. I felt like I was in professional, yet friendly hands. The hair and makeup trial was so helpful and played a big role in helping me feel beautiful and excited amidst the busyness in the lead up to the wedding. Jane was such a calm presence throughout the morning of the wedding but especially as departure neared and things felt a bit tense. She even went above and beyond to stay a bit later than planned; she didn't have to but she did and I'm so appreciative of that. I truly felt like she was there just for me - which I know is how it should be - but I'm sure it's not always the case with other hair and makeup artists. I had my makeup done by Jane. As I arrive and I'm walking to her house my heel strap brakes! She greets me and I let her know what happened, I said I'm going straight to the event from here. She then asks her husband if he can try glue it together for me. so he takes my shoes and goes off to the garage while Jane starts on my makeup. She had messaged me earlier in the week to get my inspiration and she had that on the table. So she was able to start working on me straight away. She had a metal plate or mirrored glass that Jane put the makeup on before for applying to my face. And after she finished she would wipe it clean. She was very professional and wore her mask. Then half way through her husband knocks on the window showing me he has glued my strap back in and clamped it together. Jane then asks if I want strip or individual Lashes and she apply them very gently. I'm so so happy with the result. And thanks so much for her husband who tried to help fix my shoes.

Jane is lovely and the lesson was informative and fun! Not only did I get a 2+ hour lesson, a complimentary makeup bag with brushes and sponge, and a Saturday night ready face, Jane also spent time going through my makeup and brushes giving me advice on the suitable and not so suitable pieces of my collection. What I loved about this lesson is YOU get to learn hands on how to apply YOUR make up to YOUR face, and if your products aren't quite right for the job then Jane has a huge collection of her own to help steer you in the right direction. AND to top it all off, Jane has an adorable Cocker Spaniel named Lucy who happily greeted me with lots of kisses! Thank you Jane.

I recently got married on the 13th March and chose Ava Jane Makeup Artistry for my hair and makeup styling for the big day. My first impression of Jane was one of absolute professionalism. Recently booked Jane to do hair and make-up for my daughters school formal. I would highly recommend Jane as a skilled stylist and also a lovely and sensitive person that created a calm and fun experience for my daughter that she will always remember. My daughter wanted a classic, modest make-up look, and vintage style waves, Jane really listened to her and delivered exactly what she asked for, the make-up was perfect for her age group, not too heavy, amplifying her natural beauty. And the hair was honestly breath taking. The best part was the attention she gave to my daughter for the whole appointment, making her feel so special and respected. Jane and Kaleigh did the hair and makeup for me, my mum and three bridesmaids for my wedding in January and I could not have been happier! Jane is an incredibly talented artist who was an absolute dream to have around for the wedding preparation. She had a calming presence and was always completely professional (even when I was at the peak of my nerves during the day). Jane is a wonderful makeup artist, she did my makeup for my wedding back in 2016 and we’ve kept in touch after all these years.
