Attempted to make a last minute appointment for a massage for some sciatica issues. First I called in the morning and no answer. Next I texted the number listed on the website. I got a hold of someone whom said they would contact me later as they had some late evening appointments. I wasn't able to message them back but figured if they wanted business they would still get a hold of me...still haven't heard from that person. So I messaged them back, they claimed they called but I'm glued to my phone and received no call...and well now they are all booked up. So sad. I really wanted to give this place a try after seeing all the positive reviews. Ended up going somewhere else. A paying customer shouldn't have to go begging to make an appointment. I'm flexible and have days to work around to make an appointment if last minute was too short notice. Update* In response to my review, I waited all day until 5pm when you said you would get back to me. After not hearing back for several hours, I ended up taking my business elsewhere. As mentioned in the beginning of my review, I wasn't able to message back but figured you'd still follow up with me since thats what you said....especially if the customer was truly in mind. I'm not angry or anything. Just disappointed how our communication was handled. Maybe text messages isn't the way to go with new customers. Might work better with existing.

Deceitful, Dishonest and Dissatisfied overall. My husband Booked a Custom massage for me yesterday with specific requests: a female masseuse and acupuncture. Upon arrival, I was told a male masseuse would be taking care of me. I told the lady at the desk I prefer a female, so was told Jenny would be my masseuse. Massage only relieved 1 out of 5 Target areas requested. No effective communication with Jenny. I would say something and would get little to no response. No acupuncture and when I asked why, I was told by the lady at the desk that using the elbow and finger is similar to acupuncture needles. Smh. A waste of $ and time and an attempt to insult intelligence. Upon checkout, I asked if there was a price change due to not receiving requested service, lady pointed to the price list. Said that Jenny does not understand English well and when you talk she can't concentrate. Doing Yoga earlier today provided more relief than the massage I received. And when my husband called to communicate his concerns thereafter, a guy said they I told him I was very satisfied. I never seen/spoke to any male there. Disappointed and will not be returning.

These masseuses are body healing wizards. They know exactly what points to focus on and hit and are communicative during the massage to make sure their pressure is ideal for you. The entire time in my massage I kept telling myself “thank you, thank you, thank you.” My entire body feels so thankful for the reduction of pain & aches. The women whispered to each other in their language back & forth but that didn’t bother me at all. It was actually calming to me! To sum it up, don’t go anywhere else but here. This was my first time at this establishment , I can say it was up to par! Very clean , very safe , both of the women that where their help me with the right package for me .. The woman who tended to me for my deep tissue message , she examined to see where she needed to focus on first & she hit everything on the money ! The pressure was amazing & again she was very professional on asking if I was okay and if the pressure was okay for me ! Which I want it more harder and she applied.. once she was done with the deep tissue, she started on my Hot Stone massage & she really , really put me to sleep from then on .. I would recommend this place to anyone.. To me for what I paid for was worth every single dollar ! You get what you ask for her ! No rush no nothing ! Plus you get stretch out afterwards!! I’ve never had that done .. So this hidden New Gem will be my new go to ..

Horrible horrible horrible experience. There is no way to communicate with the staff because unfortunately they don't speak English. I had to tell the girl a million times not to mess with my knee cause I have joints issues and there she was back at it (til I actually snatched my leg from her). Now, of course, my knee hurts The place is also not very clean...they gave me a pair of used slippers to walk from a treatment room to another Please, get disposable ones for your clients! For the scrub treatment they wanted me to wear a hair cap that was just sitting there and it had a terrible smell. And they had no disposable spa underwear either. So unhygienic I was never asked if I have any allergy or sensitivity despite multiple products were applied to my skin. I don't know about prices because unfortunately when I got out my husband had already paid.

Best and affordable deep tissue massage ever!!! After my husband's and my body was screaming for some tlc I decided to google a place in SA with good Google reviews, we decided to give Azalea a try. Called during lunch and we were fit in within 30 mins. I'm terrible with names but the front desk clerk was very welcoming as was the place itself. We decided on the 60 min deep tissue massage. Half way into our massage, and my masseuse hitting every point right on, I decided to upgrade to the 90min as did my husband, and we're glad we did. They left us feeling so relaxed and in much better shape. Can't wait to go back! Meanwhile we have gifted one of our employees a massage there and planning on sending a few others! Thank you all for the great service given, you very much deserve continued success in your business.

It was a very good experience. The lady who did my massage was well experienced. Right at the beginning she asked me about my worst areas and worked on those first. I recommend making an early day appointment. The light music and the ambiance was perfect for relaxing. And the price were quite reasonable as well, which I am surprised considered it's in San Antonio. The only thing that some people may not like is that it is right next to the gym. But I only heard the person who was dropping heavy weights on the floor. Other than that, I loved it. Also, one interesting thing that I noticed. The lady came inside the room and started the one hour time right when she started the massage. Some massage places try to cut it short. But I appreciated her saying it is 'time' and the massage will end at 'time'.

I confirmed and appointment with Azalea via text message, which was very easily done. I have a 10 year old back injury, which I've received massages for for 5 years and can be worked around. I told them my (simple, there are 2) limitations, and they responded by canceling my appointment and claiming that I am a 'liability.' Being a healthcare professional, I assured them that as long as they followed my limitations everything should be fine and nothing would become a 'liability', that it really wasn't that big of a deal (again. I am a healthcare professional and can reasonably see where they COULD be coming from). They ignored me, reciting that I could be a 'liability to my business.' I will go somewhere that doesn't think a limitation is a liability to their entire business

I have driven by for years & finally stopped in for a massage to help heal a nagging injury that was negatively affecting my quality of life. I first received a 90min Deep Tissue Massage from Jennifer, which was phenomenally relieving & relaxing; I scheduled a Triggerpoint massage with her the following week. She did an incredible job understanding my body & all of its aches. 3rd visit was with Ping, who was a miracle worker during the 90min Triggerpoint massage. I requested firm pressure, and she delivered, to say the very least! I am seeing her again this week. Because of Azalea Spa and the hands of Jennifer and Ping, my road to recovery was expedited. I will continue returning and send my friends and family here for an unrivaled relaxing, healing experience!

Cleanliness 5 Covid precautions 5 Told me when 70 minutes started 5 Sea salt shower scrub 5 Massage 3 First all it hurt and I mentioned several times it was painful and Summer did not adjust pressure. I asked for a Swedish massage, but I guess deep tissue is what she is trained to do. She left the door open to the 'private' massage room, which was odd since other employees and customers could pass by in the hall which made me less comfortable. She was distracted several times during the massage giving instructions to employees and even stopped to greet someone at the front desk, I think. AND the massage oil was too thick and smelled funny...like grade school paste.

Absolutely Amazing!! My husband and I had the massage and body scrub and we loved it. You have to get the body scrub. It is a full body scrub in a shower. And it was the best deep tissue massage. They are very skilled and knowledgeable so they can do whatever pressure you need. I am 7 months pregnant so I got a prenatal massage with deep tissue on my neck and shoulder area because of the tension I have. After my massage I had no more pain and tension in my neck! And they went above and beyond to make sure I was safe and comfortable during my shower body scrub since I am pregnant. I highly recommend them.

I have always had problems with not having enough pressure during massages, so I would never go. My neck and upper back had a lot of tension to the point where I couldn’t turn my head. This was my first time here and I was so impressed with the professionalism and cleanliness of the location. My masseuse, Summer was very friendly and was more than able to get the amount of pressure I needed. She was able to hit my target areas and communicated with me the entire time to ensure my experience was a good one. All in all I have nothing negative to say about my experience here. Highly recommended!

Summer did the most fabulous job. I wasn't sure what to expect seeing this was my first massage but my body was telling me it was long overdue. The daily grind so often results in stress knots upon stress knots... She had muscles in my neck that I didn't even know I had. Very clean establishment and wonderful management and owner. I will absolutely be returning probably once a week if not twice. And the price is what really shocked me at the end I walked away a new person for $60 get out of here!! I went off the reviews and no joke. Best massage I’ve had! I got the 100 minutes foot reflexology and deep tissue massage. Apparently they also use trigger points which I found out while checking out. No wonder i came out feeling like my masseuse had truly worked on my back. I didn’t know I had that many flipping knots on my back and neck until she was kneading them out . Needless to say, spot on work! I booked my next appointment before leaving here. And so looking forward to my next visit, next week, as it falls on MY BIRTHDAY . Awesome job Azalea Spa!

Do yourself a favor and stop looking! This is THE place to get a massage in the San Antonio area. This is professional massage at it's finest! I had an amazing experience when I came for a massage (and have come back for more). The atmosphere is relaxing and the massage therapists I've had have all been excellent. This is the perfect combination of a therapeutic and relaxing massage that will leave you feeling wonderful. It's perfect for whatever ails you (muscle tensions, stress, back & neck pain, etc). I can't recommend this place enough!

Wow! I went to this spa due to a extremely tight upper back and neck. I didn't have much time so I booked a 30 minute deep tissue massage. They were able to take me at my requested time which I only called an hour and fifteen minutes before. Just the 30 minutes relieved so much the tension and I'm already feeling so so much better. I was feeling hopeless and miserable but I am so happy now!!! It can only get better from here. I plan on going weekly for a couple of months due to the extent of my problem. Great family like atmosphere, excellent therapists and the best all around Spa in San Antonio! I was in San Antonio for an eye exam on Wednesday (12/16/20) and called Azalea Spa to see if I could make an last minute appointment. My favorite massage therapist was on her off days, so I thought I would wait and schedule for the following week. They called my favorite therapist at home to see if she could come in, which she did. I started the day yesterday with a headache. This morning it turned into a migraine. I got online to look for a massage therapist and Azalea Spa popped up. I called, explained my situation, and got an appointment. It was wonderful! The therapist eased the muscle tension in the neck, shoulders and back first then she gave me a scalp massage. An hour later the migraine was gone. She was able to reduce the pain in the midst of an active migraine. I am thankful for the great service that I received. God Bless!

Recently I received a massage at Azalea Spa and it was the most professional massage I have ever received. The staff were professional and the facility was emaculate. I have had chronic lower back pain for years due to Military Service. They were able to relieve my pain. They are presently working to establish a working relationship with the Veteran’s Association as medical massage therapy is a benefit that VA will pay for under the Whole Health program. I would hifhly recommend this facility. Michael.

Si - is the lovely lady that performed the service for me, I highly recommend her though I’m sure the other ladies have the same abilities as well. Absolutely amazing! Was trying to find a last minute spa for my boyfriend's birthday and they were able to make it happen. We had an amazing couples spa, super relaxed and comfortable. They had a nice variety of spa packages, I recommend they 70 min foot massage and deep tissue massage (40min/30min). My boyfriend and I got done feeling like new people. The only thing better then the massage was the price, which they have listed on they're menu. All in all, was an amazing experience!

Excellent service and super sweet therapists! Everyone was so welcoming and kind. I recieved my massage by a gentleman whom was very thorough and provided a great amount of pressure to power through my stiff muscles. It was followed up by the shower salt scrub, the perfect end to the experience. The therapist was awesome and I came out feeling amazing! Whether you are local or just visiting, I highly recommend you visit the Azalea Spa! It was the highlight of my trip so far.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I have regular massages, and this was the BEST massage I have had. We did 3 Mother's Day massages early at the same time for grandmother, mother, and daughter (all Moms), 3 very different massages. They were very gentle with grandmother with health conditions, one deep tissue massage for mother, and one prenatal massage for daughter. We all loved our massages, and will be back. I just went and walked in and got an hour deep tissues massage and it was probably the best I’ve ever had! Everyone was very friendly and it was very professional! I used to get massages every other week because of college sports and a bad accident and this one blew those out of the water. Very good price for what you get too! Jeff did a wonderful job at knowing just how to fix me up. Went in at a 2/10 Came out at about a 10/10 I’ll be a customer from now on! Thank you.

My wife and I had a couples massage, hers a deep tissue and mine was Swedish. Both were to our liking, mine being a little more gentle but very thorough, hers was just what she wanted, deep. She is very picky being that she suffers from chronic pain, but was very complimentary of her masseuse, Jun. Genie gave me the Swedish and made the experience very calm and relaxing. We plan on coming back for another in the near future. Overall very great experience!

First time here for a couples massage. I got an amazing 90 mins deep tissue and my wife got Swedish. Therapist was very skilled and focused on my problem areas as requested while still providing a full body massage, which is rare to find if you’re looking for targeted deep tissue. Would recommend trying them out for the great value. Excellent and prompt service from booking the appointment, reception at the front desk, and the therapists. I will be back!

I've been here in San Antonio for 9 weeks and will be going home to Florida next week. I just decided to try this place today, and it made me regret not trying it early. Lawrence was the one who did the deep tissue massage on me, and after I told him my concerns, he focuses more on those muscles and did a good job! I wish I visited this place early. So far, it's the best deep tissue massage I have experienced. It's so worth it. Look for Lawrence!

I went this past Sunday and had a marvelous experience! My wife and I did a couples massage room, she had a prenatal with a body treatment scrub and I got Spa Package #2 with a deep tissue add on of $20. Super deep massage with elbows, hands, and knees to really get all the tight spots on me. Well worth it. Table shower/body scrub was amazing, felt so relaxed afterwards we went and had a nap after the massage! We will definitely be back!!!!!!

5 stars! I get a massage at least 1-2x per month and I have finally found a place in SA that I am satisfied with. I have had massages in MANY different spas but this session was one of my top 3 best massages I have had. I like to rotate between Thai and regular deep tissue massages and have found my spot for regular deep tissue. Jun was awesome. I had to ask for his name for my future visits. Would recommend and will definitely be going back!

Been here three times and tried different treatments. They have all been outstanding but the last treatment (yesterday) was amazing. I love how incredibly sweet everyone is here, they always work with you when scheduling. Prices are about the same as oak haven and massage envy though but they do specialize in pressure point acupressure massage, which is unique. I asked for deep tissue for all my back and neck issues and my husband received a relaxing Swedish massage. They did not disappoint second time around. A beautiful and clean facility, we highly recommend.

I found this place online and it was rated a 5 star. I can see why. Ms. Yuki greeted us and made us feel welcome. The place was very relaxing, the ladies are very attentive. My Husband came in and he came out awesome. As I was waiting on him other clients were coming out and they were very satisfied with their massages. The place is clean, very quiet and great hospitality. We will definetly be coming back.

I just had the BEST massage in all the time I have been getting massages! I have had severe pain in my neck and back for a couple months now. I came to Azalea spa for a deep tissue massage and Judy did an AMAZING job of working out the knots! I will be making this my regular massage go to place! It is not close to my house, BUT worth every penny on gas and worth the drive. LOVE THIS PLACE!!

Nice people. The massage therapist was asked to provide a deep tissue massage on my neck and shoulders. She wasn't very strong so I believe she tried but she just wasn't strong enough to provide what I am use to when I have gotten deep tissue in the past at Oak Haven. It was $60 for 40 minutes so it was half the price of Oak Haven. Guess you get what you pay for. I paid less and got less.

I hesitate giving this place a glowing review cause I’m selfish and I want to keep it for myself, but seriously, it’s the best. I’ve been going for a few years and they have ALWAYS been accommodating and communicative. I look forward to their services ranging from body scrubs to reflexology and, of course, massages. I drive an hour just to see them and it will likely never change!

By far the best massage I've had in a long time (and I get them at least monthly). Jenny was awesome. Utilized the full 60 minutes and dug into my problem areas. Many salons waste the first 10 minutes with a useless "consultation". Jenny jumped in the room and got to work on my knots. Highly recommend!! Definitely coming back and probably canceling my massage envy membership.

The inside is pretty & relaxing. I love the lighting & decor. My appointment was at 10:30, actually got in quick & early. Summer was amazing. She was professional, sweet & friendly, & gave an amazing massage. It was kind of painful at first but I let her know to go lighter, & she did. I recommend this place & am definitely going back. They also have waxing services.

Very effective and high quality deep tissue massage! Listen, I just got a massage and let me tell you the deep tissue massages here are 10/10. I do electric work for a living, a little bit of personal training, and I love to lift weights. So I come here for body maintenance. Believe the hype! Price was superb , service exceptional. I've had pain in my shoulders for months now and been to top dollar places throughout those months but nothing and no-one has made it vanish the way my therapist did here. I nearly wanted to cry and hug her...but I refrained haha, just gave her a nice tip and will come back as soon as I can.

All I can say is, wow. This place is incredible. The customer service is great and the massage followed by salt scrub was one of the most relaxing experiences I’ve ever had. If you’re super modest, the shower scrub may make you a bit uncomfortable but the team is super professional and you have nothing to worry about. Can’t wait to come back.

Hate to say this bc she might not have time for me after this post but Cindy IS AWESOME! I’ve had hundreds of massages due to mva and sciatica problems and Cindy has got to be in my top 3. She listens to you and applies the perfect pressure along with trigger pointing. I will be back in a month, but for a 90 min. Excellent job Cindy.

I highly recommend this spa, very clean and professional. I had a 2 hour session with Cindy, she is one of the best massage therapists I’ve ever had, she worked on my problematic areas with great pressure and technique, I felt so much better after the massage. She made me feel comfortable and did not leave the room while in session.

I got an hour deep tissue massage. It was absolutely the best and most intense deep tissue massage I've ever received. Friendly and effective. Very strong hands and fingers. Will visit again. Side note, there are lots of packages to choose from to fit your specific needs. I also didn't feel pressured to buy something I didn't want.

Pulled a muscle almost felt like a tear along the upper back of tricep all the way connecting to my my left lat and shoulder blade.I told Yvonne and she gave me a incredible deep tissue massage concentrating on the hurt area. Wow she was able to work it out and one of best deep tissue massages ever. She was very knowledgeable too.

My husband and I frequently get massages and this was one of the best massages we’ve gotten!! Especially if you like deep tissue, every pressure point was hit perfectly!! I got the 40 minute massage and the shower scrub. It was great, I left feeling relaxed and light. It's nice to get the shower after the massage so you don't put your clothes over oil LOL. Best massage I’ve ever had. I have had massages all over the country and typically get massages 2-3 times per week. This was by far the best place I have ever visited. I got the deep tissue massage with the trigger point addition. Very clean place and the staff is amazing. Will definitely return every chance I get.

I’ve had well over 200 massages in the last 6 years and the massage I just had from Si at Azalea Spa was by far the best. She used wonderful techniques I’ve never had before. I’ll definitely be back when I visit San Antonio again. Too bad I don’t live here so I could go more often.

Azalea Spa is awesome ! The staff working there are all very professional and attentive. Last week I had a massage that was incredibly relaxing and therapeutic. I have had several other massages there and I am never disappointed. I highly recommend this well run establishment !

Very polite meaning lady's.Not too pushy like other places.Clean and nice.It becoming one my favorites. However it's really hard to pay with a credit card because they use Vemo. Other than that I had nothing bad to say about this place absolutely, is really fantastic place!

Amazing. I have had multiple deep tissue massages.. I have also had a knot in my shoulder for YEARS where I’ve always seemed to carry my stress and tension. Jenny is the only massage therapist who’s actually given me relief from that tension. 11/10 would recommend x1,000!!

Went here for a deep tissue massage (6/29). Shoulder muscle that went down to the hip were locked in. Masseuse worked them, she did a good job. No pinching, good communication. It took a couple days for the pain to go away but after day two or three I was mobile again.

Great Chinese deep tissue massage. I have chronic back problems with two herniated discs, so it takes a deep deep massage to even come close to trying to help that pain, I left here feeling great. Well worth it and I will definitely return. Highly recommended.

My wife and I were visiting San Antonio from NJ and scheduled a 90 minute couples massage and we both felt wonderful afterwards! The facilities are nice and reasonably priced. The massage therapists were attentive to our needs concerning pressure.
