Manners & Respect , This review is strictly to acknowledge the frontline staff “ Gale “ & Bobby “. I’d like for these two employees to get the recognition they deserve I commend them on there professionalism. Also I’d like to acknowledge Muhammad ( assistant branch manager ) for being composed during a routine T.O.C ( Test Of Comprehension ). If he would of asked I would of liked to have coached him , he seems like a young & eager professional. My recent experience and why this branch received 3 stars is that there had been a frontline employee “ Jaysun “ who deposited to 25 cents in error into my account I explained to not only “ Jaysun “ but assistant manager “ Muhammad “ and also branch manager “ Derek “. That the fraudulent deposit should be removed from my recent transaction history as 1. I know that it is possible 2. For that to be displayed on a statement of records wether it is stated error corrected or not that is “ Fraud “. That is why I no longer approve to that particular branch and the manner they conduct client conflict resolution. “ Fraud “ response times are not as efficient as they should be. I feel like I'm at a discount bank at this branch, is BMO a discount bank? There's a lady who has worked there as a teller for years, and she's always haggling to get people, including myself, to get credit cards (I'm assuming she gets a commission). Today I sat in a line which didn't move for 15 minutes because she was trying to convince a gentleman to get a credit card. The manager was around and didn't do anything. I ended up walking out and went to '1230 The Queensway, Etobicoke', ON M9B 1K9' where I was served within 2 minutes. Besides this annoying teller, about 6 years ago at this bank I had a teller ask me where I got a sum of money which was in my account. Avoid this bank branch and go to the Queensway branch 5 minutes away, much better service without the haggling of credit cards and nosy tellers.
I read a great review of someone saying how this branch is giving a DISCOUNT bank vibe. That was a wonderful description. There is a black curly haired woman that is pitching credit cards to customers. STOP doing this when there are people I. Line!!!!! I’ve been to many BMO banks and this feels like a dollar store. Long time personal and business customer. We need to speed the line along. UPDATE: I go to the bank not during busy time where staff are not selling credit cards and things are smoother. I change my review from 2 stars to 4 stars. Please STOP selling credit cards when there are lines of people waiting to be serviced. We’re busy and get sold enough on our phones and everywhere we look. It’s aggravating.
Perhaps the worst advisor experience of all time. Book a meeting from 4-5, not introduced until 4:15, then told I should’ve done the banking myself, and then she told a coworker she would be free in 5 minutes tops, just 5 minutes into our hour meeting because “it’s almost the end of the day” I’m then told to book a meeting to discuss investments when this was the meeting already. Whatever you do, do not work with the lady in the second office on the right with a red coat, she is clueless and a poor excuse of an “expert”
If I can give this a zero star I would. We came in today to deposit our cheques and this lady asked how many and when we said 2 each then later on to say there is no Teller. So what exactly is the point of asking me how many cheques if you cant even help us? Or why is the bank even open? Ridiculous service she provided she was in the back chit chatting to someone I guess we interupted their conversation, saw us not even greeted us or anything. I will never come back to this location ever again.
I got the best service ever from one of their team members. I'm not sure of her exact title, however her name is Nellie (I believe Financial Manager). She was kind, patient, knowledgeable, and obliviously interested in my best interest! Surprisingly, I never felt like that at a bank before! She provided solid financial advice. I look forward to further working with her. GREAT PICK BMO! She (Nellie) is why I bank with BMO! I would strongly recommend to her to all.
Best branch in the city. Tellers are knowledgeable, friendly and know how to fix your problems. Best branch manager. If the tellers are in the weeds, he'll come out and work a station himself. No ego, just there to get it done. Edit : Not going to take away stars yet, but what is with closing the ATM when the branch closes? Kinda defeats the point of an ATM. For someone who doesn't work bank hours, this is very inconvenient. Please fix.
I opened an account & Mastercard at this branch 1 month ago, and have no stop problems ever since. My name was registered incorrectly to begin, causing multiple cards to be issued to me. Today I made a CASH deposit onto my CC and confirmed the funds would be available immediately. Once I got home and checked my account, the deposit is on Hold and my CC balance has not been updated. I wouldn't suggest this branch or BMO period.
I hate this BMO. You guys need a "take a ticket" machine. The lineup for tellers is always huge and just a mob of people. You have to pay attention to who came in before and after you. Further, I have been a BMO customer for over 20 years and wanted a small line of credit, the person I met with me dissuaded me and I wasn't able to get one. The reason was she said I didn't need one.
Absolutely horrible customer service. I will be transferring both my personal and business accounts. Requested an inquiry and was told both by the branch and the customer service line that Shivneet is handling my inquiry and to expect a call. Both days I did not hear back. It’s been almost a week. Absolutely unacceptable when a business has an inquiry. Do not recommend this branch
I recently visited the bank for a mortgage appointment. The service was incredible. Shivneet, our mortgage agent, was vigilant in making sure we had everything we needed in a timely manner. Also he made sure we left with a clear understanding as to the next steps in our process. I would 100% Come back to this bank for my banking needs.
This bank is the best in the city. This bank has outstanding staff that care about your needs. The branch manager is incredible. I travel a distance to do my banking at the BMO at lakeshore and park lawn. All banks should take note and learn how to run a bank. Very happy customer
Awful. Had an appointment via phone with mortgage advisor. Had to call her instead a number of times. Then sent her all necessary documents for a pre-approval and was ghosted for a week, nothing was done. I completed the process in 20min with a different branch.
They have no idea about fast customer service, teller prefer chatting people instead of finish process, friendly but very very sloww,manager should hire faster person this branch. They spent 25 min at least for one client
I wanted to understand about type of savings accounts I can open up with BMO and one of the bankers Shivneet Patti assisted me with great service and educated about different options. Keep doing the great work team :)
Received great customer service from Shivani and she helped me with the process of opening a new account and different doubts I had with a lot of patience. 5 stars only because of this lady, good job to the team.
They do not answer phone calls. Lazy staff! Left several voice messages for staff and they don’t return calls. Why bother with voicemail then? The one star reviews about this branch are REAL!
I visited this branch today and Fatima Melo the senior banker patiently helped me to solve my problem! She is very nice and professional and I'd definitely visit this branch again!
I changed to the Park Lawn branch, to follow my favourite banker, Nellie B!. She always goes above and beyond to support her clients and has kept me banking at BMO for years.

Terrible branch . All staff are incompetent and biases . Better you go to the Evans or the Queensway branch where they treat you like a customer .
