Most service is ok. However with Bank of the West it was easy to deposit checks by phone picture. So far it’s inconsistent with BMO. I tried several times to deposit via ATM but it kept saying unable to complete the transaction. So I went inside and deposited in person. Oddly enough, I later received message that those checks were already accounted for. All that is with my business account and business debit card. I tried to get the issue fixed in person and a friendly woman tried to help. On her computer it said my card was blocked. She unblocked it and assigned a new pin. However the problem continued at the ATM. I called BMO by phone to order a new debit card which they said would take, I forget how long, time to receive it. I never received it so I went inside the bank again. The teller at the window said she couldn’t find an order for my card on her computer and she made me a new business debit card right then and there. So far the new debit card works paying business bills online. I haven’t yet tried it at the ATM. Fingers crossed. On the other hand, with the personal account, I haven’t had any real problems however I prefer the BOW format format for online bill pay. On a positive note I appreciate the notifications when money is spent from my account as it can be helpful to avoid fraud. I presume most of the issues previously mentioned in time since this transition is new. And actually I think they’re doing a pretty good job considering how complicated it can be.
Briana from this Bank of West is the worst manager. I've been having issue with her since I join this branch. I went in on Sep 10 to close my account and she fail to tell me it was 5 days process period. She said my account will be closed at the end of business day. I received a notice today from this branch that my account was overdrawn from a transaction that took place on Sep 15. I'm thinking this is incorrect because according to Briana my account was closed. If I've would've known that I would've left money in that account. Briana need to be retrained on her job. She doesn't know her job at all or she fail to give customer the correct information.. I would not recommend Bank of West to anyone
The transition to new parent company BMO is horrible. I get a weekly electronic paycheck from my employer with a pay date of Sunday. With Bank of the West, I would see that deposit in my available balance on Saturdays. It's now Sunday, after 6 am pt, and I still don't have it. A co-worker who banks at Citibank, had his money available Friday night pt. I called BMO and got a customer service rep in the Phillipines that I couldn't hear or understand. Also, I can't access my online bank account from any device from anything but my phone. I know I'm not the only customer experiencing this.
This bank is the absolute worst. Half of the staff treats you like you know absolutely nothing when it comes to banking (and I'm an accountant) and then you have a select few that are awesome, which to be honest is the only reason I am even giving this place one star. They seem uninformed on certain things. I tried to do a reverse wire, brought in the form (which explained everything) and was shifted through 3 different people that didn't understand. Wasted 3 hours of my time for something that eventually only took 15-20 minutes max.
1 1/2 minute read: Four years ago I opened a checking account at this Branch. Several of the original were transferred. Nevertheless, the good service continues. At this location, Bank of The West has served the Northridge community very well. It’s a very small branch. Consequently, and many times INEVITABLY, change leads to improved progress. Guess what?! This Bank of The West will be moving to a new location. I won’t give details now, as I’m informing GOOGLE MAPS of the move. Stay tuned, OK. Thanks.
I wish google would have the right information about times the location are open. I just drove over there because it said it was “open” and wasted my time. Update please! other than a little note stating That times may differ because of Martin Luther King day that doesn’t really help, it should say that it’s closed. If indeed it is close. Other than that I’m sure I would not have had no problem with the bank if I would’ve been able to take care of my business.
I opened a account here walked in no one acknowledged me for a while then the guy who is at the entrance was like how can we help you but with a what u doing attitude?! Then as I was answering a phone call about a customers complaint and he goes you should let your husband handle it he will know what to do. Like excuse me?! It really bothered me if it wasn’t becaus the bank has a good debit card I would of walked out
I love this branch! I have ALL my personal and business accounts here and I have never had any major problems. The staff is very helpful and they personally know me. They are able to resolve any of my problems and requests. Chris and Karen are fantastic!! There is something to be said about the personal care im a small bank. Thank you!
$7.50 per check to cash checks written on their bank, because I don't have an account. Heard them tell another customer "it won't allow us to do it". Not sure what they were referring to But it seems there's not much this back CAN do. Headed to California Check Cashing..only $2 per check
We love Bank of the West! We have been going there for 15+ years for our personal banking needs as well as our business accounts. The entire team knows us by name and takes care of our every need. Edward and Nora are the best, along with the entire support staff! Highly recommend!
Worst bank! company I work for made a mistake on my payroll check so they gave me 3 separate checks all the same date they charged me $9.50 for each check what a rip off !!!!! and especially right now with this virus going around I'm not work in much they're just making money
I don't understand the negative reviews. Alot of the reviews are for petty complaints. Perhaps these individuals would like to bank at B of A and stand in long lines with only one teller to help u. This bank is also in process of moving to another location in mall.
I love this bank everybody is so polite and willing to help out anyway they can and they remember your name!!!! And welcome you with it! I always feel so good going there, knowing ill get the respect I deserve
This is probably one of the 1st bank of the West that have very friendly and very helpful people here, They were very friendly with me and cashed my check with no problem
Consumer beware. Bank gave fake $100 Bill's. Worst customer service. Check your money in front of the teller before you walk away, they will cheat you.
Needs to upgrade ATM to take cash deposit , not in an envelope , cash deposit should be available as soon as deposit is made not days later.
Bad customer service. I walked in and all the workers just looked at me while i waited in line for 5 minutes. No one came to help.
Waiting for deposit 20 minutes, why because they have only one Tyler I don't know why, they been like that more than month
Worst experience ever signed up online for a checking account and it just messed up going to another bank
They push customers to open a credit card with them even if they are not interest in that.
