Today at Jumma I got kicked out of the masjid because "sisters are not allowed in the first session" as advised by one brother. I have always been coming to the masjid every single friday since the last 3 months in the first khutbah and nobody has said anything. I told him i only got a break at this time and he did not care. He just made me leave. Why is it called a "sister's area" when sisters are not allowed? We should not have restrictions as to when we can and cannot come. If the masjid is getting crowded then maybe they can tell the brothers to split and some come in second session instead. Poorly managed masjid. The washroom is also very dirty!! Please do something about it
Very good place for salat in the heart of the city. Good facility of toilets and ablution (udhu). Sisters prayer hall is totally different room separated. For the charity there is a card reader where we can donate as we see fit. For those who can't pray at office or have problem with toilets can help themselves here. I humbly request to do sadakah whenever we pray here so that we are paying for our own mosque usage and help other fellow Muslims to have a good neat and clean prayer place.
Located at the intersection of Palmer Street and Fitzroy Street, in the heart of Fitzroy, this mosque is well-built and peaceful praying space. For the women's prayer area, please turn right upon entering through the back entrance. In case the room is dark, the light switch can be found on the left side of the wall inside the room. The toilet and shower for wudhu are located at the end of the room.
Wheelchair accessibility is only available at the females section which has wudu etc. Males who are wheelchair bound are able to access mens wudu and toilet area and can perform there prayers without entering the masjid as there is step onto the masjid floor. I hope this helps anyone who's wheelchair. The people in there are really helpful.
This mosque is quite comfortable. Met another jamaah who said it’s opened everyday. Entrance is through the door on the side. For women’s prayer area, turn right upon the entrance. If the room is dark, the light button is located inside the room on the left side of the wall. Toilet and shower for wudhu is at the end of the room.
A bit small for a Friday congregation but indeed beautiful nonetheless. MashaAllah. Khateeb announced that wef Aug 5th 2016, there will be two Friday congregation, one at 1230 and the second at 1340. Alhamdulillah. May the Ummah benefit from this.
In the heart of Fitzroy, its a very well built praying space at the intersection of palmer Street and Fitzroy Street. It's well maintained from inside with all the facilities. Parking might be an issue and beware of the permit zone..
Nice place to pray For a tourist like me this mosque is awesome. Just 5 minutes walk from melbourne museum to the east. The wudhu place is located in the entry. The entry is on the side of the building. Open for 5 times pray
Prayer didnt start on time. People come from offices and extending the Khutbah creates problem at workplace. Appreciate the long Khutbahs but during office hours creates problems for employees who come from far.
I had my clothes new ones too all stolen I left the clothes inside the mosque near the water fountain. Some things even gift from my mother. Please if you can give all my belongings back to me
I prayed my jumma prayer at 2.15 pm. First Jumma prayer starts at 1.30 pm and the second one starts around 2.15 pm. Parking is there nearby and you could get a slot if you come early.
Good Location and Clean Masjid❤. Note: Jummah Prayer Time for Summer 2023 is 1330hrs - 1400hrs. (Note that second Jummah stands cancelled since Covid). Check for future updates!
