I have been a fan of Back Home Living for more than a decade. I absolutely adore this shop! The french-inspired decor and furnishings, along with fun antique finds, are truly the best. The scent of seasonal candles, gorgeous lighting, beautiful vignettes and inviting sofas make me want to grab a book and cozy up in a corner (to be honest I would love to have a sleepover at Back Home Living!). But by far the best part of this shop is the owner, Mari. She is a joy to work with and truly desires to create a space that you love. My project has been slow because of budget constraints, but Mari has been supportive, patient and kind throughout the entire process. I will be a life-long customer of this Austin gem.

My mom and I have shopped at this store many times over the years because we love the decor! But after shopping there yesterday, we don't think we will be back after the very uncomfortable encounter we had with one of the lady's who works there just because my mom's mask slipped under her nose. I'm sorry but if you're that scared of what's going around, you shouldn't be working at a store and making costumers feel uncomfortable & awkward. If you believe in your rights & that your health is YOUR responsibility (not others) then I recommend skipping this store.

Great products, less than helpful service. I prefer to be left along when I shop, but on more than one occasion I've experienced the employees do not look-up when someone enters or passes by them, nor do they pay attention to the cash register when people are waiting to purchase. Not only with me (well-dressed, coming from work) but I've noticed the same with other customers. Whoever does the purchasing for the store has excellent taste, but unfortunately they are losing business due to the complete unfriendliness of the employees.

Went by Back Home today hoping to find some unique fall decor unlike what you find at a chain store. This place did not disappoint. Not only was the store beautifully styled, the staff couldn’t have been lovelier or more helpful. I’ll definitely be back!! PS-to the staff member who asked the person that left a negative review to put the mask over their nose…..THANK YOU! Thank you for protecting other shoppers and the rest of the staff.

Found a great chaise sofa at a reasonable price ($299 WITH an ottoman! Can't be beat!). Super comfortable, great quality, color and modern style. They delivered the next day (although the delivery fee was a little high - I would have given them 5 stars). Easy meter street parking, nice salesperson, great furniture! I would absolutely buy from them again!

The absolute best little furniture store in Austin. Owner Mari Johnson is incredible and I'm so thankful for all she does for her customers. What a gem Back Home Living is. If you're in the market for new furniture, look no further. Staff and selection are top notch.

I found this place online looking for new items for my home. The staff were very friendly and the items throughout the store were beautiful. I definitely plan on shopping with them again.
