I specifically chose BOQ cos it's not one of the big four, and it's a Queensland bank... Stupid me for thinking they would treat me as a valued client and not just a number. When organising the appointment to open a business bank account, I was advised that it would take at least a week and that I need to come in and discuss my needs first. On the morning of the appointment, I fronted up early and entered the branch. Three staff members were behind the security screens, and there were signs up saying staff undergoing training. They all looked up at me as if to say, "What are you doing here?" I mentioned I had an appointment, and there was looks of confusion as well as annoyance. They mumbled amongst themselves, trying to decide where I should sit before finally telling me to sit at the end and talk to the employee through the glass. Great way to feel like it's a personable service and that I am not just a number!! The staff member then proceeded to demand documentation. When I replied that I didn't have anything as I was led to believe that this was just a chat at first. She then continued to reiterate what they required rather rudely and briskly. At this point, I was like, yeah, Na! I don't feel welcome, I feel like a hassle and a burden, so no, thank you. I informed the staff that I would not be progressing and left. I then try to make a complaint online and lo and behold another reason to feel like they don't really care and don't want to listen as there wasn't even enough room to detail my whole complaint. Which left me even more irritated. To their credit, I was contacted, and I explained my issue. Although the lady was very attentive and polite, I just know my complaint will be dismissed. What surprised me the most was when I asked if they had a procedure for booking appointments? Such as follow-up up emails to confirm appointment and what to bring? To my shock, they said they didn't even have such a procedure but that she will look into it. How pathetic and unprofessional is that? One simple little step could have prevented all this, and it surprised me such a large and so-called prestige organisation wouldn't even have this basic courtesy and professionalism. So no, no thank you, BOQ. You are a big bank wanna be, and the lack of customer service means you're already partly there. Now, good day to you, and I sincerely hope you organisation rots in hell!!

Over the past 10 years of being with BOQ it takes several days or weeks before either Laleen or Mukhtar reply. Sometimes I have to stay up past midnight in the Uk to call them to get them to reply to my emails. Even today no replies even from their staff. I’m hoping by posting this review I might get a reply to my query! Update: trying to close my account. Given a variety of last minute options, changes with each email. I’m genuinely surprised they manage to operate at all

From start to finish the entire team at BOQ ACACIA RIDGE were nothing short of amazing. Always going above and beyond who really listen to your needs and help. A special thank you to LALEEN, for being there practically 24/7 for my banking needs with such friendliness and professionalism. Very efficient team and prompt answers / replies. Nothing was ever too much for these guys. Thank you once again and look forward to banking with you for years to come :)

Wonderful family operated branch. Mukhtar (Branch Manager) and Ruma went above and beyond for me for my first home loan despite it being the busiest time of the year, and with the market already on fire. Mukhtar even waived the bank fees associated with my loan for a little mix up with head office that had absolutely nothing to do with him. Highly recommended.

Mukhtar and Laleen have been awesome and so professional. I couldn't have asked for better service. Great knowledge and experience. They have made our finance process smooth and with no stress. We are moving our investment property over and all our finance will be with BOQ acacia ridge going forward. Thanks guys
