"Can't stand the constant Aeroplane, and Helicopter engine noises going all day and night, its inconsiderate this is allowed to happen over residents homes all night and day, then Training to be a pilot lessons are happening thru flying smaller planes,at night as i type this past 10pm,weeknights,making it hard to enjoy watching tv,as planes are circling every 5 minutes over our house,How is this ok to have a very busy Airport operating a flight path with large planes, dropping kerosene fumes over peoples homes in a built up residential area, which has been a residential area for 50 years +,but not with the outrageous noise like there is today, its like living next to Mascot Airport,or Nasa,A Curfew needs to be brought in for the peace residents deserve!!!!! Unbelievable Noise in this Day and Age!!!!which is affecting our health badly"
"I've trained as a pilot here for a long time and have always loved how busy it is"

Unbelievable Noise in this Day and Age!!!!which is affecting our health badly.DISGUSTING,A PROBLEM THAT NEEDS FIXING ASAP!!!!!Most pilots are probably going home for a nice sleep after their ridiculous flying times that have kept us residents awake in the night every night, unable to get back to sleep,as another loud noisy plane approaches,This is Not Acceptable at all.!!!!!!!So for this i give Bankstown Airport a BIG thumbs down and 1 star.....!!!!!!!!
I've trained as a pilot here for a long time and have always loved how busy it is. There are hardly any hold ups on the streets in terms of traffic. Lots of construction going on at the moment to build a new business park - I do fear that if the roads aren't widened the current residents/businesses will find the trip to work will be a lot longer. Hopefully there is a good plan in place to prevent this. It's a relatively easy place to navigate but there could be more signs to point you in the right direction to the businesses you would like to go to. It's kept clean and the people are mostly friendly
light aircraft pilots... I am sick of light aircraft pilots who think they can fly their noisy buzz boxes where-ever they choose. Especially those who choose to fly low altitude over difficult terrain over Ellenborough. Rest assured if you fly low your gunna go. Notably we have planes with no rego markings underneath nor transponders... You are flying over private property not public airspace so be warned...
Whether you're soaring through the skies or watching planes from the ground, Bankstown Airport offers an unbeatable experience for aviation lovers. It's a place where the passion for flight truly takes off, and I can't recommend it enough. So, whether you're a pilot looking for a reliable and welcoming airport or a plane spotter seeking the ultimate viewing spot, Bankstown Airport is the place to be!
There is nothing 5 stars about this so called airport. Taxi ways are run down, hangars have seen better days. Did you know not a single new hangar has been built in decades? Yet they continue to charge astronomical fees to rent. I am however really delighted to see the amount of commercial development around this so called airport because they will bring in ACTUAL JOBS to this area.
No cross strip, (aircraft)parking can be difficult, fuel tankers have either been slow(>30min wait time) or knock off early from personal experience, terminal lacking any personality what so ever and airport is quite hard to get to(no trains or freeways nearby). Lives up to Sydney's reputation nicely.
I can't believe they fly all day and all night long. Pouring down all the noise to residents who live in the area. Do you have brain? Flying and making constant noise even 12 AM or 4 Am..... I can't believe this is still happening. There should be curfew!!!!! Hate those airplane noise.
Get read of the noisy planes please and leave the other how will you like to listen to that horrible noise all day no afternoon beak either shame on you all just to make extra money you are killing us and you are making us anxious because of your noise shame on you again so many of us
Early morning and late night flights. Extremely noisy. Should have curfews. Also running the motors in the early mornings is very disturbing. Community concerns regarding aircraft noise have been made. Made a complaint to airservices as I found that I was able to complain online.
This was so much fun! The staff and our pilot were lovely, right from the minute we arrived and the experience itself was incredible! I would recommend to everyone! The only thing I would change is that I would pay a little bit more and do the longer flight to Palm Beach! :0)
It's really a shame what has become of this place. I can easily recall all the times I used to come here when I was younger. There was a beautiful plane spotting area in front of the runway, next to the golf course. I remember picking up
Bankstown Airport Ltd (BAL) is the Airport Lessee Company and consistent with its obligations under the Airports Act 1996, has a Master Plan (2014 MP) to set out its vision and objectives for the planning and development of a multi-use
Great airport, cheap fees was able to fly my Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner out of here with no problem. This airport is large enough to handle the biggest of the biggest, including the AN225. Therefore I give YSBK a 5/5.
One of the busiest and great places to learn to fly. Controllers are very patient and there are loads of schools with a variety of specialisations, fixed wrong, artistic, helicopter, etc
It is small and nice, clean. My son works at the airport as a helicopter maintenance engineer so got a little bit of a tour of his work and the airport itself. Enjoyed the day
I just want to say to the people that complain about the noise, why you bought an house next to the airport? If you just rent it why don't you move away?
Tower Road sure is a wonderful spot to do planespotting. Love Bankstown Airport. Great place to see aircraft's takeoff & land low overhead.
Nice and quite place however busy with private flight and training aircraft. A lot of development going around the airport vicinity.
They have a lot of flight schools. If you’re interested in the aviation industry, check out this airport, as well as Sydney Airport
Friend had a flying lesson. I waited. Waiting area well appointed but they could have had the aircon warmer. Was quite cold.
Great airport to fly in and out of, best airport in Sydney to learn to fly. The airport also has an interesting ww2 history!
Very surprising the amount of industry located at Bankstown Airport, naturally a lot of aviation, but a wide variety.
Aldi didn't have the product we were looking for. Plus the traffic was Horrendous! Won't go there again soon
It's a shame banksown airport is pushing all the aviation companies out and crushing the industry
Took a flight to Tanzania and stopped by Philipines to get some fanta in a ziplock bag 10/10!!
Easy to access , good facilities, have always liked Bankstown airport as a secondary airport
Disrespectful ancient 40 year old noisy training aircraft flying over residential areas.
Great place to go for drive and watch the smaller planes come and go. Very busy airport
Nice airport. I find it better than mascot at least there is no AFP pigs to bother me
Easy to get in and out of helicopter lessons are brilliant highly recommended
Great place to watch aeroplanes do circuits and also helicopter maneuvering.
A very busy airport with a lot of activities available for the family …
Good runway always clear for when i need to land and take off in my plane
Always fun to drive past and watch the planes arriving and departing...
Great traditional local airport that hasn't been made obsolete! Yet?
Very very noisy!! Having fun on top of other people's houses!!
