Winter has moved on but the nights are still heavy with cold. Flood lit memories of late play on a dew ridden field recall an under 9, division 4 team I hated knowing, for the most part. You see Dad was coach, but he wasn't my Dad, not in the real sense. Wednesday nights Mum escaped to teach Physics and this fake Dad took us for soccer. Not that he was much chop. Sometimes, if I was lucky he'd buy me hot chips from the Chinese place on the way home. It's still there today I think. That and a certain feeling of emptiness, something missing, something gone and never quite right I could never put a name to. These days the kids still scream and the whoosh- whoosh-thud of a kicked leather ball carries on, the screaming and fun of innocence echoes in my mind but I still mourn the loss of who I thought I once was. Shattered by the lies of family and the selfishness of mother, I stare into the darkness.
Bankstown City Sports Complex is a nice park to bring your kids to kick a soccer ball or play football. It is also a great place to bring them for the playground equipment. But I believe Canterbury-Bankstown council should built a outdoor gym area and a dog park that this location with the local residents can uses.
Very good place to do some sports. They do have courts for netball, and basketball. Massive field for football. There are restrooms. There is a corner shop if you wanna get some water. The place is good for jogging as well, and you can bring kids along to play out under the sun, it is a good source for vitamin D.
I was commenting to myself the the other day that the netball courts need to be resurfaced. Next week I retunred to find it coverd in road tar and flattened it out. Perfect for summer when temps will make that surface so hot it will be unplayable and perfect for all those skinned knees.
Even on busy days, it has plenty of parking, has kids swings, it's a great fun park for all ages. There is seating area. Nice place to have walks. They do sometimes leave the lights on if there is a sport game on
BANKSTOWN CITI COUNCIL PLEASE GIVE US WALKING TRACK IN THIS PARK. Currently No walking track only very rough track which is uneven and not safe.
Nice park for a walk. There are children's climbing activities available as well as basketball courts, cricket and football
Nice patch of grass for walking around. Good football field, has a broken up Netball court, and a lot more grass. I dig it.
Love playing badminton down here, decent courts, ample parking space. Just book in advance to avoid problems.
Nice place to walk the dog while waiting for someone at Bankstown Hospital which is a nightmare for parking.
Very good park maybe grass should be taken care of and toilets to be renovated. Recommend Coming Here
Great complex to visit, often cricket matches being played there, good to watch and pass the time at
Desperately needs lights turned on at the basketball court every night. Like other suburbs
Open space with playground and sports fields. Toilets and car park were both locked.
Good for walking. Family play ground. Football and basket and net ball ball field
Huge place for sports including rugby, cricket, soccer, basketball, netball etc
Place lacks of public bins so people (as always) just leaves rubbish anywhere.
Clean, and spacious Small playground, cricket pitch loads of grass areas
Nice neat park, well manicured lawns and play equipment relatively new.
2 of the fields are below regulation size. Also waterlogged
Carpark and street parking available, decent playing fields
The boys in the area know that i rightfully own this park.
Average suburban sports ground. Nothing bad or brilliant.
