Overhanging trees on footpaths, broken/uneven paths & traffic lights that only let 2 cars go at time (at busy intersections), to bins that don't get collected despite being properly left at the curb (numerous occasions to me and neighbors). Not sure what our council's doing, seems that they do the bare minimum just to tick their boxes. I feel that Banyule's google reviews accurately reflect the service (or lack of) provided.

Shame on you Banyule council. How can you treat a volunteer who lives in Banyule who is doing good for his community with such disrespect. A volunteer who gives his time to the community teaching for no payment at all, & yet you issue a parking ticket & give no grace whatsoever despite us writing in. My partner was having cancer treatment and was late for her job at a specialist school. She parked a few meters into a no parking area which is a back street and was not a public danger. I appealed the decision and explained the situation with photo's of her cancer appointment but got rejected. The council still needs A$182 which due to medical expenses I am struggling to pay.

Although this is the most expensive council in Melbourne, the staff are extremely unprofessional and undertrained always giving wrong information. You have to call multiple times and speak to team leaders in order to get anything done. No one will take any responsibility, only their supervisors actually work or get things done.

Only I couldn't rate lower than one star, terrible service, you talk with bully, gold hunter, only they care about is your money, they will never review or thinking about helping people, when you asking for review with a Fair, they say that they are review but never change their minds of charging fine.

Really appalling customer service. I have emails from years ago that never received a reply. They guys need a good sort out by a good manager. They tell me their KPI to reply to emails within 2 weeks, well two years still waiting. Truely dismal.

My favourite part about Banyule council is how the want to make everyone else pay for extra recycling and composting but you watch the Banyule council staff go get coffees at there cafe in Watermark and they all get disposable cups.

I was fined for parking illegally and helping to elderly lady. I appealed twice and was rejected for not having enough evidence. All this in covid time.
