I am honestly suprised I haven't already reviewed Baoli before, but then again I would have to do an update with lower score than before. If you asked me ~12 months ago about Baoli I would have nothing but the praise for it. Excelent menu, innovative and daring dishes, really nice ambient, proper etiquette and ok'ish waiters. Hell, we even had our wedding lunch there. Well, not anymore unfortunately, not in regards to food at least. While waiter's remained on same subpair level, everything else has lost in regards of quality. We had carpaccio di manzo which had only few slices of beef in it. Few as is, it still tasted awesome. This, alongside homemade Focaccia were best part of the dinner. I ordered tagliatelle and wife ordered salmon salad. Honestly, it seems to me that either sauce or something had burnt in the kitchen. Tagliatelle were overdone, sauce had that burnt flavor in them, and meat was few in numbers, drenched in the tick creamy sauce. Salmon in fish salad had chuncks of meat. They did not cut it all the way, and even if you had knife to cut it, it still isn't really your job to do it. Someone did sloppy job in the kitchen. Sauce was not properly mixed and depending where on plate you grabbed it, it would have different taste. Also, salad was freshly washed and all of the sauce just slides of it. You literally cannot take a bite of salad, meat and sauce in it. By the time salad was half way eaten, you can see all of the sauce accumulated in bottom of the plate. I really loved clientele at the times before, where you had a lot of people with manners coming in. Nowadays it is full of wannabe influencers and people without any manners, being loud, and annoying to other guests. There are also many shady people coming in. Prices are among highest in the city and it would be reasonable if they offered service and food quality to make up for it. Unfortunately, at this time I would not recommend this place. Just go somewhere else.

The restaurant staff kindly asked me to write a review, so here I am! The decor is pretty, the place is very beautiful. Unfortunately, this is the only positive point I found. I ordered a carpaccio as a starter, and it arrived frozen. I don't mean it wasn't fresh made, it was literally frozen, half the slices were covered in frost... How is it possible? Even in a second-rate restaurant this wouldn't be acceptable, it's just disrespectful. The tuna steak was good, but the soy sauce was too salty, too bad. Clearly not worth the price (50 BAM just for this dish). About the service: having to ask after 15min for the waiter to come and take the order while he's standing next to you doing nothing is just wrong. Overall, the service lacked professionalism. Maybe I was just unlucky, but for this kind of price you'd expect a lot more. I got the impression that behind the fancy facade they weren't really trying to offer anything of quality, the whole place tastes like a show off, not a high-standard restaurant.

During my recent visit to Restoran Baoli in Sarajevo, I enjoyed a well-prepared Biftek u ulju (steak in oil) and an excellent panna cotta. The other guests at my table had chicken dishes, which appeared equally appetizing. The highlight of the evening was the bill - for three steaks and two additional main courses, the total was an impressively reasonable 100 EUR. This price was a pleasant surprise, especially considering the quality of the food, which would likely cost much more in a city like Belgrade. The service was commendable, with attentive and unobtrusive waitstaff adding to the positive experience. Restoran Baoli stands out for its quality dishes at fair prices and excellent service, making it a recommendable choice.

It exceeded my expectation! The place to impress your guests, the place to show Sarajevo in the best light. Personel, food, service, deserts were the top, top, I can say No1 in Sarajevo. I had Baoli filet mignon that was perfectly tender, it seems that it was a bit aged, so nicely cook to my order. We also had pastas that were over and beyond "just pasta" and then we learned that there is wood pizza oven, so obviously we have to go back very soon to try pizza, because there is no pizza without wood oven for me... it must be good.. We had few deserts too, and tiramisu is the best we had in Sarajevo, period. Chocolate bowl was superb! You guys continue doing what you are doing

We asked for a more private area for the four of us, but they seated us on the high rise tables right next to two loud and obnoxious guys. We asked for another seat, but the rest of the restaurant was apparently reserved even though nobody came in the two hours we were sitting there. When we were placing the orders, half of the stuff we asked for they said that they don't serve that no more. Why have it on the menu then in the first place?? Food that came was not worth the price. The waiter was also kind of smug and not welcoming at all.

Best upper class restaurant in Sarajevo! Stylish, proffesional, perfect, well-mannered servise.. love the look and food is great. Chief is artist and true person who loves it's job. I recommend for high-end occations or daily, oh not to forget that perfect tea they have!

If you are looking for the best restaurant in Sarajevo, then look no further. I often visit fancy restaurants and this one is definitely of good quality. The only negative things (in my opinion) is that everyone is allowed to smoke inside and the hostess was looking quite irritated the whole night. The service overall could be better (they are not the most assertive waiters, but if you wave to them they will help you). The good food and amazing tiramisu made up for this though! For the food I would definitely recommend this place. The prices are affordable as well!

Skriveni dragulj u srcu Sarajeva! Prijatna ušuškana elegantna bašta, profesionalni konobari koji sjajno komuniciraju i na pravi način usmeravaju izbor za večeru. Sjajna predjela: fokusirali smo se na riblja i vegetarijanska predjela i sve je bilo slasno i jako ukusno! Najbolje se restoran pokaže kod jednostavnih jela: grilovani file orade odlično spremljen uz odlično spremljeno sočno grilovano povrće. Inza kraj: brutalni tiramisu i iznenadjujuća baklava sa maskarpone sirom i pistaćima. Preporuka!

Great idea, lacking great execution. The menu is creative but execution lacks focus on details, like flavoring. Chicken is dry, steaks are well dry, pasta and rice were not well cooked. Basmati rice is not good side dish for chicken with wine, figs and oranges. Neither is commercially available sweet cily sauce a good accompaniment. The music was too loud for an enjoyable conversation over the dinner. The waiter was a bit too casual for my own taste. Doesn’t know anything about wines.

Definitivno jedno od najljepših mjesta u gradu. Exterijer , pa kao u nekom predgrađu, velikih gradova Amerike.. Enterijer je odmjeren, lijep, ugodan sa puno zelenog bilja, koje prostor obogaćuje kisikom. Osoblje preljubazno. Hrana, rapsodija ukusa za receptore čulnih ćelija. Svaki zalogaj je ukusan, ima strukturu sa dubinom aroma u sebi , te fenomenalno posložen. Muzika live je doživljaj za sebe.

Ambijent, kafa, hrana i muzika nahrane sva čula i stvaraju osjećaj potpune ugodnosti. Kolač od limete (bez šećera) uz vrhunski okus talijanske espresso kafe je čista sreća! A biftek salata radost najveća! Blago Sarajevu što ima Baoli za reprezentativne susrete porodice, parova, prijatelja ili poslovnih partnera.

Everything was ok, but nothing was extremely good. Chicken was dry and pancakes were cold. Beef was good. The way the food is served is interesting and excellent. It was a bit cold in the restaurant. Staff were nice and polite.

It is nice restaurant. It is very well designed. Food is ok, but not on very high level. Prices are from 2-3 euros up to the 20 euros per dish. For me, the waiter is too much friendly, but that is personal feeling.
