"I enjoyed my time at B&N Atlanta, and bought a couple of Star Wars books (the Mandalorian collection)- since they have a really cool variety of Sci-Fi and sports theme based literature"
"The store is overall nice"
"This Barnes and Noble is is always clean and well-maintained"
"Currently came down to this location to see if I could find a book for resume writing tips and Microsoft Excel Training and the staff treated me like I was in the Ice Age lagging behind! I don't think it's out of the ordinary to ask for these types of books as this is a freaking bookstore! Learn how to be helpful instead of snobby and condescending!! Not to mention, I couldn't find anything I was looking for! But this is bookstore!!"
As a full time Architecture student. I’ve come to this location quite often. But for some reason today a staff member decided that I looked suspicious enough to have 3 supervisors and security guards walk around and by me 7 times now. I literally all my drafting tools out and doing coursework. I did notice I’m the only black male student here. 8 times now. I had the guard walk next to my table and look down to see what I was doing. He didn’t saying anything just looked at me and continued walking. One experience has been the reason why I will be canceling my B&N membership and never returning to another B&N location…
I enjoyed my time at B&N Atlanta, and bought a couple of Star Wars books (the Mandalorian collection)- since they have a really cool variety of Sci-Fi and sports theme based literature. Let's say the bookshop is OK, in comparison to the one on 5th Avenue in NYC. The staff are very kind and helpful, but since this is a 2 floor bookstore, you will sometimes have a small adventure to find them. There's a Starbucks caffe bar and a Georgia Tech sportshop inside the B&N store, which is convenient. All in all, I was happy to have been and shopped there.
The store is overall nice. Im a student from highschool here on the BridgeUp program and its a great experience. My only problem is the creepy security guard. He is overall very weird and needs to be told to back off. As a 16 year old female I feel uncomfortable around him, as do multiple others. I recently went in the store and I saw him so I went behind a row of books, he comes around the books, follows me, and proceeds to try to talk to me. Needs to worry about his job instead of bothering customers.
This Barnes and Noble is is always clean and well-maintained. It's more of an apparel store than a bookstore to be honest - the selection is huge! There are traditional and trendy options for all ages. Browsing the clearance section upstairs is always a good idea for lower prices. I wouldn't recommend shopping for generic notebooks, pencils, folders, etc. there because the prices are much higher than what you would find at a Staples, OfficeMax, or Target.

Came to get a gift certificate for a good friend of mine for Christmas. When I went to pay for it, they told me they were cashless system. I think somebody might want to check into that. Because the US currency is good for all debts public and private. I’m not sure how they can get away with not taking cash. If you don’t know about policy, don’t go. It’s not worth it. Even for diehard Georgia Tech fans.
As a GT alumni, I used the B&N for years as a student and it has always been top notch. Recently stopped by to pick up a car sticker for my car and bought a hat. Love them both. My wife, who is not an alumni, but a lover of Coffee mugs had to get a coffee mug because they had great options. Always a go to for GT swag. Always makes me feel at home.
Place is very nice and big. Three story's. Lots of Georgia Tech stuff for all kinds of fans and students needs. A little pricey, but worth a Hoodie or Hat. Also you get your Georgia Tech IDs made on second floor. Parking is across the street, you will have to use the app to use code for parking to pay. They have loads of stuff, and a Starbucks too.
The Barnes and Noble is a great place and being before the staff is friendly and they know there stuff. But the Starbucks inside is not I've been there before there Customer service terrible and dirty the staff also, they wouldn't take 2 of my coupons saying that was corporate. I'll give them a 3 stars because it nice inside...
All things Georgia Tech, and a good coffee shop. We go here looking for our Tech gear, prior to game day, nice selection of shirts, and polos. Not as impressed with the current hat selections, maybe my age gap. Others may like. Picked up some nice etched wine glasses. Plenty of items to choose from. And lots of books upstairs.
Great selection of Georgia Tech clothing and attire. The Adidas line of clothing is amazing this year. They force you to wear a mask. They have also closed all the bathrooms (they were even closed on gameday Sept 19 2020). Prices are very high on clothing - be prepared to spend $80-$120 for most men's shirts and $40 for hats.
At first I was skeptical that their selection of books would only be targeted to the Georgia Tech students, but they had a much broader selection than I imagined. Even children’s books which was perfect as I was shopping for holiday gifts. The staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back to this location.
Not your normal B&N as it doubles as the campus bookstore, so it's book selection is smaller, but it has a great selection of GT merch along with an Apple store. I would recommend walking a block to go to a dedicated Starbucks though. The internal one here is okay, much like I find most Starbucks in B&N's tend to be.
I always need to visit here when in America, I love Waterstones in Belfast, I found out that they are the parent company. I thought there was something familiar. The magazine section is amazing and a huge range of books covering all prices. Games and stationary if you want something special.
The prices are high but the shop is well categorized. They have a great selection of Georgia Tech T-shirts, hoodies and glasses. The location is very ideal inside the midtown. Whenever you get tired of shopping in this big store, you can get hot or cold beverages inside. Highly recommended.
I know this place has a small selection of books but, for what I found was great, Edgar Allen Poe, Dracula, Frankenstein, Interview with the Vampire, yes please! The staff was friendly and patient (A must for me) and so helpful. Conveniently having a Starbucks is added bonus points.
Very nice staff and a convenient location. Lots of really cool things inside such as a large hanging competitive row boat. Great selection of merchandise since the store is rather large and it's a one-stop-shop for any school supplies you may be needing before classes start.
Best service for any Barnes & Noble I have visited on the years. The tall young man that cashed me out was very helpful even if they did not have all the GA TECH items I wanted to purchase for my uncle holiday gifts. Easy metered parking in front of store on Spring St.
Overall, the bookstore at GA Tech has plenty of college "swag" to choose from. Great customer service and a pleasant shopping experience. While I enjoyed my time in the bookstore, most of the items were way overpriced when compared to other campus bookstores (4 stars).
Well organized, easily to navigate in search of your choice item. They offer a wide range of gaming stuff, books, toys, and general stuffs that make good gift items. Prices also are in a quiet range, so no matter your budget, you are sure to find something you like.
Overrated and extremely pricey, but a complete vibe which is why people go and spend $200 on a book that they could’ve got for 50. It’s a lot, but not a vibe my pocket could afford all the time like a once in a blue Moon vibe 3.5 stars the Starbucks of bookstores
Great selection or Georgia Tech paraphernalia! T-shirts to golf tees! My husband was very happy with the selection. Very nice store with a nice Starbucks. We were there on a weekend and it was empty...can't imagine what it would be like on a "class day" though!
Any time my friends and I ask about a book availability they say they have it and we drive 20 minutes to get it and they say they never had it. Customer service is always 0/10, rude, disrespectful, and don’t care about their students nor customers.
I enjoyed browsing this beautiful store. They have a large selection of clothing, toys, caps, books, electronics, school supplies, groceries, etc. I just wish they had a bigger selection of books. FYI, they do not accept cash at the register.
The best place anywhere to get anything Geory Tech related. You want Georgia Tech salt and pepper shakers, chocolate or sunscreen? This is your place. They also have a huge selection of clothing. Upstairs this location also has dorm basics
I purchased a printer from the technology section of this B&N just two months ago for about $120. Mistakenly assuming I was purchasing a recent model I brought it home and began using it only to discover that it prints horribly and scans
There's nothing wrong with the upkeep of this B&N. Everything is clean and the workers are nice. My main issue is with what they sell and what prices they sell at. This Barnes and Noble is more an overpriced apparel store than bookstore.
What can I say, it’s the Georgia Tech bookstore! Get all your collage related gear here. It also serves as a regular bookstore and has a Starbucks attached to it that you can enter from a separate entrance. I love shopping here as I no
I cannot remember the young ladies name but she was so kind when helping retrieve a shirt that was out of my reach; she gave me her full attention afterwards and asked if I needed anything else with a genuine heartfelt smile...kudos!
Need a Disney Tommy Bahama, or ANY other G Tech logo brand? Look nowhere else. This is a convenient location with all the goods. The books are focused for students (shocker). So, if you need some light reading it’s a little harder.
An impressive choice of GT-related goodies but the latter are more often than not lacking quality-wise. The bookshop itself is not that noteworthy: displayed books are few in number and the selection is somewhat questionable.
If I could give zero stars, I would. Every item in this place is overpriced. I bought a wireless mouse last minute to use in a class priced at $35. Amazon had it for under $15...same brand, same model, no sale.
More of a GA Tech store than a Barnes & Noble. If youre looking for new releases or popular books, you'll probably find it here. Dont expect to find anything past volume 1 for a manga for the most part
why the heck would you close at 5pm. people around here work at least until 5. if they want to visit the store after that they are out of luck! especially looking for GT gear for Christmas presents
We came to this store while we were staying at the GA Tech hotel. The cashier was extremely rude to my husband. It was just so unnecessary. I didn't want to back like I planned because of it.
Huge selection of Georgia Tech merch, including bee plushes and dog toys. Surprised to find dorm room furniture and essentials as well, such as hangers, hampers, cubbies, tables, etc.
Stopped in when I was in town for graduation. Large selection of books and Georgia Tech merchandise. Staff went out of their way to help me find a particular sweatshirt in my size.
Books you can browse in your hand as opposed to an e-reader and armchairs to sit and read them as well as desks to place your laptops and study and more. Retro is good. Sometimes.
They have Mac support and a Starbucks inside the store. GT staff members get Starbucks discount. Not just a book store, but you can also by GT clothing and accessories.
great selection of georgia tech merch. well laid out. compared to other colleges’ bookstores, this one is easily the best. highly recommend if you need GT merch
Parking is difficult but nice place to Retreat to in city and get lost it’s usually busy with students but overall great and plenty selections to choose from
Called ahead to pick up a book they had in stock. There is very limited parking near by. They have all your merchant imaginable for Georgia Tech folks.
This is the largest Barnes and Noble I have ever seen!!! What selection! Prices were what you would expect to find at a Barnes and Noble in Atlanta.
It's a busy place, but it has an ideal location connected to the GT book store. You can shop and then relax with your favorite hot or cold beverage.
It's super cute and fun to visit. The store is very clean and well organized and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my visit.
The staff at the Starbucks was not only friendly, but helpful. They put a smile on my face even though the place was busy. Thanks you!
Not just for Ga Tech students! Great selection of Tech memorabilia as well as books and electronics. They match Amazon prices!
It has a great deal of Georgia Tech memorabilia. You can also grab some school supplies and tech amongst other things.
It's a huge store. I bought a hat there and they have a huge selection of hats. There are a lot of non-book options!
Vallin is very nice and courteous. My only qualm is that this place is cashless. Not the best business decision.
Got my book on first look the staff was very helpful. Highly recommended location with absolutely great parking.
Amazing amount of Georgia Tech gear. A low key Apple Store in the back. Starbucks banana bread was excellent!
Does not accept cash payments and seems very proud of this. Prices are high but store is nice.
I love B&N at Tech. It's my favorite book store and it's quiet upstairs if you want to work.
Friendly, knowledgable, interested, helpful staff w/excellent inventory and prices
Good store, caters to the Tech kids. They have a Starbucks. Sundries upstairs.
I love books, I love to read and the service was wonderful I will be back
Very good shop if you want to get university goods
