This is a local gem. In a time when society has become dependent on the Internet, and amazon is a click away. It's refreshing to have a real shop, human contact and a wonderful selection of books stacked up on shelves, it's an experience you cant get from a screen. I love this shop, its always been a place to breathe, savour and enjoy the atmosphere. Staff are welcoming and very helpfull, if they haven't got the book you want they will order it for you. We have to support our local shops, especially book shops, with the Internet taking business. Before you click and order, visit your local bookshop and enjoy .

The Barnes Bookshop, the Kew Garden Bookshop as well the bookshop in Sheen all belongs to the same owner. They are all small and intimate with great selection and recommendations. Very knowledgeable staff, helpful owner and lovely place to browse. If you order a book it is very fast. Definitely a bookshop I want to support!

A very nice, friendly local bookshop, with staff who appear to know their regulars and try to curate a nice selection of new releases and a small selection of books in main categories (downstairs). Not really a place for bargains, but good to support and see these days. And great for a last minute gift.

Very nice selection of books, cards and wrapping paper. Friendly knowledgeable staff and on week days, if they don't have a book you want they can get it for you by the next day - wonderful! Great to have a local book shop in Barnes!!

cute area with wide range of books. looks small from the outside but is more spacious than one would first expect. there'll definitely be at least one book in there you'll want and the staff are really friendly.

Excellent range of books and brilliant staff. Keeping up with a mix of new publications must be very hard but, each time I visit, there is something to catch the eye in both fiction and non-fiction. Addictive!
