I would give ★10 STARS★ if I could to Bayside Animal Hospital, all the staff, and especially Dr. Chan. Anybody who cares deeply about their pets would agree that you want only the best care for your pet but sometimes it can get very expensive and half the time, you don’t even know what procedures your pet is getting and whether or not they are really necessary. Dr. Don Chan was very up front about what procedures were necessary, explained to me in layman’s terms so I could understand and was 100% clear about the cost. Being an overprotective mom and all, I would ask him about other procedures I’ve learned from Google search and he told me that they were not necessary and would just end up being unnecessary expense for me. *HOW REFRESHING!* I don’t know about you but I have had some unpleasant experience with other veterinarians who would take advantage of my deep concerns for my pup and had recommended multiple procedures be done which cost me a lot of money but later found out that they were completely unnecessary. So you see it was so nice to meet a veterinarian who was so up front and honest about the procedures and the cost and he took such a good care of my baby, my puppy has no problem going to this vet. (He used to have a problem going to a vet. That's why I went looking for another one and Dr. Chan came highly recommended.) Dr. Chan really genuinely cares about the animals and their well-being but at the same time understands what it is like to be a pet owner. I would recommend this clinic to any overprotective yet skeptical pet moms and dads like myself.

These guys are so good. My dog needed emergency surgery and it was a bit complicated but they did a fantastic job, not only from the surgical and nursing perspective but also the communication was excellent. They gave me take-home information about post op care. Follow up visits were free. They are mindful of costs and always give me estimates and consider safe ways to keep costs reasonable (e.g. recommending I give antibiotics/pain killers that I already had at home prior to surgery so they didn't have to charge me for the same medications). The best thing is the absolute joy they seem to get from looking after animals. They really seem genuinely happy to see my girls, especially lovely Naomi who sometimes has her massive wolfhound Ragnor at the practice and... I'm sorry, I forgot her name but another nurse who was incredibly gentle and took a lot of time removing tape carefully which I had put on and had stuck to my dog's skin. We've seen both Don and Felix (veterinarians) who are very thorough, kind and clever. All the things you want in someone looking after your pet. They also submit all the insurance forms for you so you don't have to do anything (depending on company). A great business to have in the community. Thank you all.

All of my three furkids are being cared for by Baysidevets. The vets whom I have dealt with (Dr Nara, Dr Don, Dr Felix and Dr Jenny) are all very professional, patient and thorough in examining, analysing and explaining to us the health needs with our puppies/kitten. Also, all of their vet nurses are very professional and gentle with our furkids, It is easy to see they all love animals and their work. It is evident that they have the best interests of the animals at their heart. A special shout out to Dr Don Chan, who is extremely responsive and generous with his time and expertise, one key thing that differs him/Baysidevets from other veterinary clinics is their accessibility (through social media/wechat) and their responsiveness, particularly given the increasing number of people adopting furkids during COVID19. I would have no hesitation in recommending them, not only for their skills, expertise and passion for pets, but you will find their professional fees are very reasonable. I, as a pet owner, appreciate how hard and demanding your work is, and I hope you continue to find your work rewarding. Thank you again to all Baysidevets' nurses and vets.

We’ve been going to Bayside since they opened up at Wolli Creek and our pets were previously looked after by Don. It’s hard to find a good vet and with Don all I can say is that he’s always been professional, is able to handle all our bengals with care and we have never thought of going elsewhere since. He always gives appropriate advice and thinks of the pet first. For example the one time rather than have our little girl having to suffer through two surgeries when he could of done part he referred us to a specialist. He’s also very careful with the pets doing very thorough checks for the annual check ups and tells us what is a minor issue and how it can go wrong as well as things we should be looking out for during that stage of their lives. The booking system is quite easy and they’re generally quite on time, the wait time has never been too the point of more than a few minutes so far. I’d personally have had a great experience so far and would highly recommend Bayside.

Very poor service, not professional and bad communication. Last year, the vaccine was not injected into the puppy and I noticed the hair of puppy was wet but the vet didn’t realize until I advise it I wasn’t injected correctly and they gave another shot. I cannot believe it! This year when I returned, they got me wait more than an hour, I was late for 15 mins from 8am appointment but I realized they only have one vet in the morning and super short of staff, the admin is extremely difficult to communicate. They said if you were late, we cannot guarantee you when will you be next! It is 9:10am and I have four puppies crying in a basket all over the poor Ver. OMG! Definitely not recommending!

If you reading this comment please thinking twice before desex your pet here, me and my wife' s innocent, cute and healthy with no medical history only 5 months old kitty did desex operation here yesterday, don't know what's go wrong during the operation, she died after the operation and we still can't believe this happened, we did nothing but have trusted this hospital but now we never can see our kitty even though she is so alive just yesterday morning. We did nothing wrong but choose this facility and we have to live with this consequence without any explainable reason. So think twice before desex your pet and if you want to do it here.

Bayside was recommended by a friend who has his cat taken care by Dr. Chan. And we have been visiting him for the last 2 years. Dr. Chan has been very professional, caring and he is passionate about animals. He would spend time explain to us all symptoms and what kind of treatments / test he would recommend. Never will push us to do things that is not required. In recent visit we saw Dr. Felix as Dr. Chan is on leave, Dr Felix is also a great doc who's also professional and attentive and quickly come up with a plan to help our cat with her Diarrhea issue. Our cat came home with her issue fixed after a couple of days. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The most amazing vet clinic! Highly professional and accommodating doctors, nurses and admin staff. We changed vets because our previous vet was rough in handling our dog and was intimidating to ask questions to. My experience with Bayside Animal Hospital exceeds any other vet I've been to and don't see myself changing clinics for my dog! We've called in for last minute emergencies and the day before to book appointments and they've happily accommodated. The doctors are gentle, patient with questions and extremely friendly that you're sure to come back. ((I also never rate anything but the staff are so great that it's worthwhile to))

We have heard so many bad stories from many pets owners about this vet, but I only want to tell my own experience. My dog’s left eye got hurt when played with another dog, so we went to this vet to check and they applied some sort of yellow colour eye drops test to his right eye instead and told us it’s all good! After we back home and realised they checked the wrong eye we returned and asked them to check the actual injured eye , however we were told that we need to pay one more time for the eye drops test! I have to say it was absolutely not an impressive service at all!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Bayside Animal Hospital. Dr. Don Chan is super kind, caring and knowledgeable and I always feel he treats our pets as if they were his own. I always trust his advice since he is always very thorough and informative & takes the time to explain exactly what's going on with our pets. I love the staff too! I can tell that all of the staff genuinely care about the animals! :) I believe that Dr. Chan and the staff are the most compassionate, friendly and professional in the field. Oh, and the facility itself is always SUPER DUPER CLEAN! I'm a HUGE fan!

I made an appointment for my cat annual vaccination. I waited long time at reception and my cat got severe vaccine side effects after reached home. She was vomiting, chilling and cannot breath. I called them immediately and took my cat back to their hospital. But even in this emergency situation, they didn’t treat my cat immediately and still asked me to wait at reception. My cat had vaccination at st george animal hospital before and never had side effects. I am not happy with the staff attitude. They seem don’t care about my cat.

We have been to this practice a few times now, but our last visit wasn't pleasant. We went in for our dog cracked nail yesterday afternoon (Sunday), just to realise two charges from increase substantial (80% and 33%) in less than 6 months (Sunday as well). Invoice attached, charge were Wound Management and Sedation. The explanation I was given was hospital had to increase price to sustain the quality, however the extend the price increase was a bit unbearable and need more consideration.

I can’t express how angry I am and how ridiculous it is! The only one very small tablet cost me 34 aud, and the doctor ask me to feed my dog 1/4 tablet every day! How can I seperate the such small tablet to 1/4 This 16mg cerenia tablet cost me 34 aud and it is the only “medicine” for my dog, all the other three products are probiotics. What a joke!!! It totally cost me 204 aud to buy so many rubbish, I will not choice this vet again and definitely will not recommend to anyone!!!!

The vet, staff & nurses are very friendly, warm, caring, helpful, and amazing! I brought my dying dog to the clinic (it was an emergency & I'm not even a regular patient in that clinic) but the nurse quickly helped him and tried to safe my dog. Unfortunately we can't safe him, and again the nurse treated him very well & with respect, she kept him in the morque until we decided to cremation him. Thank you so much for taking good care of my baby NICK

Dr Don Chan is the best vet I have ever taken my pet to. His new business is excellent and my poodle loves him dearly. We travel 30 minutes to his business and it is well worth it. Naomi is a lovely vet nurse who is compassionate and experienced. We wont be going anywhere else. I cannot recommend this vet more highly. Very well qualified and extremely caring. Dr Chan and his receptionist went above and beyond for my furbaby. My dog was sick when I got home from work one day, I was panicking and thinking I may have to take him to an emergency vet. Even though I called Bayside Animal Hospital after hours, Dr Chan made the effort to come back in to see my dog even after he had left for home. I really appreciate the effort and it shows how much they care! Dr Chan will now be my regular vet!

Dr Felix Tam is so patient and knowledgable. BonBon has been taken care by him since he was littlr. The nurse Naomi is really helpful as well when we asked to feed BonBon with the Drontal and Nextguard tablets as we are struggling to force BonBon to eat the tablets. They also open till evening and on Saturday as well which convenient for us to go there when BonBon has an accident on the weekend.

I’ve met Dr Nara, Dr Chen and Dr Felix over a 2 day treatment for Noodle. Received a very professional, seamless service with follow up. Can’t thank you all enough! The nurses are also very kind and caring as I took the dog in as an emergency and was taken care of quickly. Noodle had a speedy recovery and is happy and healthy by the 3rd day!

Dr Don is very professional and provided us with very comprehensive information on how to care for our puppy. He was very gentle and careful with our baby. :) Highly recommend!! The clinic is clean and well kept. Staff at the counter are friendly and professional. There’s a good reason why this place is very highly rated and I can see why.

Very grateful they were open on Saturday and available at short notice. Appointment was easy to book and ran on time. Dr Don looked after us and was friendly, thorough and understanding. Laid all our options out and was not pushy. Pricing was transparent and very reasonable. All in all very impressed and will definitely return.

One of the worst vets u can take your animals for treating, the waiting room is so tiny they dont even let u wait inside, with all that money being spent you can deffs find a way better vet, is the treating person even a real doc? i had to suggest his next step every time because of how confused he was with treating my dog.

I had such a good experience here! All the staff are so lovely and were able to see my dog Coco even though we didn't have an appointment very compassionate and well priced. My cat Fa Cai was blocked 1 week ago and he had to stay in the hospital for 2 days. The vets and nurses there took good care of him and Dr Chan kept me update about Fa Cai. I never experience any vet service like that. Strongly recommend Bayside Animal Hospital if you really want your pet to be taken good care of.

Don and his team are awesome! They are knowledgeable and very supportive. I am easy to get nervous when my cat Cici feels unwell. Dr Don Chan answers my questions on WeChat all the time, sometimes at midnight. They really care about Cici and keep giving her the best treatment. And the price is fair.

Dr Felix and the team are fantastic. They have taken great care of my two boys and always given recommendation and pros cons for all procedures. I’m so sad that I’m moving away as they take such good care of my cats. Thank you so much team for helping me through Tardis’ diagnosis and treatment. ❤️

Bayside is a new clinic but the staff have known and worked with each other for a few years now. Dr Chan is one of the most caring vets I know. I have my complete trust in them.

This place is in it for the money, they trapped me with bs charges. When i called they named a different price then when it was all done the nurse pulled charges out of nowhere
