Absolutely the best place to railfan! You can see CN, GO, and VIA rail trains around the clock, and you can catch a glimpse of CPKC as well. There are signals so you know if a train is coming, and a great railfanning spot in my opinion is the pedestrian overpass at RBG Laking Gardens. You have a great view of the trains and signals, VIA, GO, and CN pass there, and you can catch a glimpse of the CPKC passing over in the distance. Overall a great railfanning place!
The undisputed, NUMBER 1, MUST SEE railfanning location. Multiple spots to view GO trains, Via Rail and CN/CP Freight Trains, with multiple lines heading to and from Hamilton/Burlington. My son would live here if he could. Typically busier on weekends. Parking areas nearby including off York Blvd. Surrounding parks and paths are great for running, walking, birdwatching, and views of the bay across to Hamilton. Pack some snacks and make a day of it.
