I used to always play on these fields when I was a child, as lived close by, the Triangle Park in Oval Road North was my playground and the fields lay at the back of the park. I know it so well as I have walked mine and many other dogs over Beam Parklands in my time. I am constantly drawn back to Beam Parklands in fact Christmas Day 2019, I went for a walk over Beam with my Mum as it was such a lovely day. We walked the path aside the Beam River, then across to where the old hospital used too be which is now a large hill, great viewing spot, we continued to the lake which runs into the River Rom by the time we got there the sun was starting to set on the lake, the light and reflections of the trees and everything was just awesome. There are still a pair of Swans on the lake and many other water birds too spot, it was just wonderful, then onto the bridge and home. This place just lifts me, once away from the roads you can be absolutely anywhere, your in the countryside. Bliss

Lovely day today. Warm but breezy. Good path in this park. BlackBerry brambles coming into flower. Various shrubs also in flower including elderflower which smells wonderful. Wind blowing exposing the silvery backs of BlackBerry leaves, making birch leaves rustle & shimmer, & stirring the swathes of different coloured grasses giving waves of gold, silvers & purples above an infinite variety of greens dotted with clumps of wildflowers. Really must start taking photos.

Beam Park is a great place to go on a walk, any time, any day. Open land to venture through, different interconnected pathways to make it multi accessible and a charming pond usually piddling with swans, geese and ducks. The peaceful quiet atmosphere is owed to the fact that the parkland is in the cross section of multiple quiet estates. All in all, an excellent place for a morning jog or an evening stroll.

Sadly this store was lacking in a wide variety of styles for any particular brand of trainer as they were more interested in having as many brands of trainers as possible rather than less brands but more of a variety in the those brands, the salesman even said they don't sell white trainers made by Sketches. I shan't be returning to this store again. Sunday 26th of January 2020

Beam Parklands is a lovely local green space to wander around. There are tarmac and grass paths with many entrance points. The lake at the southern end has Swans, Mallards and Coots while there are many other bird species in the park. There are a few benches but could do with a few more. There's also some local history notice boards .

The Beam Parklands Country Park is nothing to do with the new Beam Park Housing Development. Please can those who want to leave feedback on the housing development not leave their reviews here. This is an amazing award winning country park with absolutely nothing to do with the new housing estate being built next to it.

Has been my dog walking place to go for last 4 years, but lately council have let it get a bit to wild, to the point the grass which is normally kept to a descent level is now over 5ft in parts and it's starting to look like it's being left to go to shambles instead of being kept in nice for people to enjoy

  • Joanne Kemp

Wouldn't recommend buying a flat as you can't be guaranteed a parking space. Anyone who comes to visit will have to pay a £1 an hour or face £100 fine. Buyer beware. Every flat should come with its own dedicated parking space BUT they don't. There aren't enough parking spaces for the owners.

Such a great green area. However full of drinkers and youth at the start of the park. Council not maintained for over a year. Rubbish everywhere. Shame! Update. Looks like the maintenance work was put in. Bench removed where the rubbish was piling up. Great getaway now

My favourite place to, in my home town. A place where I just spend time alone with God and admire his creation. A very therapeutic place too, especially if you need to get away from everything that is challenging and difficult. …

  • Sian Jones

The fields and lakes are lively to walk around however the park is a shambles, which is sad to see as it's the park I use to visit as a child what with growing up in the avenues. The park has been completely destroyed & is generally just an eyesore.

  • William Key

Pleasant place to go for a walk. The country park is full of wildlife, we saw a few Herons. Not inundated with mosquitoes like some of the places a bit further north, despite the wetlands. Enjoyed the information about the old hospital.

  • Lukasz Szeloch

My local park, quite vast and diverse. Ponds, woodlands, football/rugby pitches, mostly dirtpaths, decent for cycling. Free parking from Ballards road. Nothing extraordinary, but my dog likes it.

City tranquility! Lovely green space, not so common in Barking and Dagenham. Really large open space with plenty of wildlife. Good notice boards tell you plenty of local history. Great place to walk around if needing to relax.

  • Erin Rush

Love this little place the lake is nice, would be brilliant if they're was a nice friendly cafe in it by the football or something otherwise you've got to cross the horrible road by the roundabout to get something to eat

  • Miranda Fishburn

Countryside in the middle of the urban sprawl. Mostly level hard paths suitable for all users, although there are a couple of place where puddles linger. Also site of historic, unfinished, Romford Canal.

  • Kiki Ng

Beautiful natural wetlands. The Wantz stream and River Beam are surrounded by very well preserved wetlands populated by a variety of birds and animals. Great place for a nature stroll and picnic.

  • Neri Harris

I enjoy taking walks here and could easily spend an hour strolling. Although at some places it's overgrown. It has 2 playgrounds for children. Popular with dog walkers.

  • David Cafferky

Lovely place to visit when the weather is nice. Some very enjoyable walks can be enjoyed here. Families seem to enjoy sitting by the river and watching the wildlife.

  • Shamsideen Etti

Nice place to reset and get away from the outside world. A couple of bird species and other small animals to see, good for off-trail running and hiking too.

Beautiful scenery, great for long walks with the dog. Small lake where kids love to feed the ducks and a cool play area with climbing frames and swing!

Not that well maintained, lots of thorny Berry tentacles obstructing narrow paths. Dangerous for kids to ride bike.
