I had an extremely frustrating experience at this salon. I have booked appointment via their website on December 6th to get my nails painted and eyebrow waxed for my wedding. I never have gotten confirmation so I had emailed them through their business email listed on their website on 12th. When we got in contact, the owner seemed amicable, and he was patient while discussing designs I wanted to get done for my wedding, which I appreciated. He said no appointment is needed and that I can just come by whenever if I let him know 30 minutes in advance. That was a mistake. I booked to get my eyebrow waxed on 31st because this is my first time getting my eyebrow waxed and I was worried with how swelling will last, and I booked my nails on 2nd, which is a day before wedding, which owner approved. Fast forward, 31st I went to get my eyebrow waxed. Owner has not responded to text messages at all, which I understand that he might be busy... well at least when I called he answered and I was able to get my eyebrow waxed. My problem was, though I told him this is my first time getting my eyebrow waxed over phone, he sent me home without no aftercare instructions and I had small pimples on my eyebrow area for a week. Price was $7 on their website, it didn't seem to agree as owner asked for $10, even though through text I have confirmed if it was $7 for eyebrow waxing. He also didn't mention that I had to bring cash to pay for it, so my husband had to pay for it. These are just minor inconveniences I can deal with, as it's not much of a money difference anyways but I definitely felt communication was off. BUT what happened on 2nd was what got me really disappointed... I texted owner about 5 times, and called about 10 times day of to let him know I will be coming in few hours, which he did not respond or answer to any of my text or calls. I assumed he's just busy as it's not like he was responsive the whole time I was talking to him anyways. I went to salon regardless because I was sure they knew I was coming after telling them so many times- I mean, I don't think I'm being unreasonable for expecting him to be at his salon when I told him time and date over phone, over text, and in person when I went to get my eyebrow waxed few days prior to. It was A DAY BEFORE MY WEDDING and I had no choice because I DID NOT want bare nails for wedding... If there is one day in my life that my hand's aesthetic matters, I think it would be my wedding day because I literally hired someone to photograph it.... pretty much. Waiting about 15 minutes in front of their salon trying calling the owner, I was finally able to reach his assistant and she told me that the manager is sick and was not able to come... which my issue is that, they had my contact info from when I made my appointment, my phone number AND my email from when I emailed them personally. So why couldn't he or his assistant let me know beforehand, in stead of leaving me hanging on the day before wedding?? Also though I respect owner's privacy, I would have REALLY appreciated If they have told me if it was pandemic related as we are literally in global pandemic and I might have to cancel my entire wedding as I was literally at his salon getting eyebrow waxed two days before??? I just had to get a plastic fake adhesive nails, and though I was kinda proud of myself for doing decent job, I was EXTREMELY self conscious the whole day of my wedding if my nails looked fake every time pictures of my hand and ring taken. I was obviously SO upset so I took a week to calm down and to see if owner will reach out to explain his situation to offer an apology, but he didn't... Well so here I'm writing this. I would NOT trust this salon with anything important, because it clearly didn't matter how many times I had to contact and email them, because I just got straight ignored. Their customer care is mores like you have to manage salon if you want to get service done that you have asked and paying for.

First two times I went, experience was good. I chose Beer Nails because they are the only salon I could find that offers straight tips. Each time I’ve made an appointment I’ve always had to wait which defeats the purpose of an appointment . The longest wait time being over an hour and a half but the quality of nails made up for it. The last two times I’ve visited have been lacklustre to put it nicely. The lady doing my nails (wish I got her name ) was very rude and ruined my experience. She cut my nails WAY TOO SHORT and when I brought it up, refused to redo them (mind you, we were not far in the process). As a compromise I also said they can try to glue another tip or the remainder of the previous one but again, she was rude and dismissive. In this case, I was one of two clients there so it was not busy at all. The gems fell off as soon as I got home and it ruined my overall experience. I went back recently with the hope it was a one off experience but NOPE. Same lady (not wearing a name tag unfortunately) did my shellac pedicure . Rude once again and I don’t think she should be dealing with clients because she is the number one reason I won’t be coming back. The tech Christina did fine on my nails but rushed. I’ve noticed what they will do at Beer is cut the tips in a strange way. The pinky finger will be accurate but the rest will be extremely short (they get scissor happy) and charge the price of medium. I show them medium but why do they leave the pinky medium but your other fingers short. So it’s best telling them you want long nails so they cut it to medium Really sad overall because one tech ruined the whole spot for me and I don’t think I’ll be returning. Or if I do, I’ll be calling to ensure she won’t be doing my services.

Firstly, If you have to give people a $5 discount to write a 5 star review you know the place is not normally rated high, so do not believe 5 star reviews! I would give zero if that was a option. The owner doing my nails was watching Tik Toks throughout the appointment and burned me multiple times with the drill as she was not paying attention, my acrylic was extremely thick which caused it to bubble and did not look great, as well as getting acrylic on the skin around my nails. I then without aggression proceeded to tell her I was unhappy with how my nails turned out, she pulled my hand and said angrily "I fix" then did not fix stating "it is just my nails" I get my nails done all the time, never been told that. After a little over a hour and a half (did not even reach painting) I told her my finger tips were hurting, which evidently made her more aggressive with my nails, I left without polish, my nails looking rushed, clumpy and half glued. At the same time, there was another very kind costumer who was patiently waiting over a hour to get her finger nails painted after receiving a pedicure, when she got up to leave the owner told her to wait so she sat down two seats away from me and waited even longer! then proceeded to paint her nails herself! also left unhappy and with her nails incomplete.

Ugh, the worst I came early for my 5:30 pm appointment to give my nails technician sometime to get ready. I walk in and they are not welcoming at all and no one said hi. After waiting 30 minutes my technician said that she couldn’t take me right now and had a trainee take off my color and glue. After that she came to shape my nails and rushed and they came out terrible which made me really upset and anxious. After that she made that same trainee come paint my nails because she had to go back to another client even though I had an appointment with her. After all of this when I went to pay they tell that the price was different now and that there was a sign I should’ve seen at the cash register. When I tried to explain my point of view, SUE was extremely rude and brushed me off and told me if I don’t like it to never come back. This is not the first time that I have seen SUE been rude to clients before….. This place is dirty and be careful they like to make up prices to steal from you. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK

My first experience was good. Came with my boyfriend and we both got pedis. Staff are very nice and I decided to give Beer Nails a second try. My second time was the most uncomfortable and disappointing experience from a nail salon. The male person who did my acrylic set was very nice but would constantly go on his phone every minute and delay my service. At some point he wasn’t even looking at what he was doing because he was looking back at his phone during a video call he was in while doing my nails. Was a very rushed job on his part. My acrylics still had residue underneath the nail, my left pinky nail is completely crooked, and each nail is a different length. Then a lady named Christina came to paint my nails and it turned out very rushed and unfinished. My entire nail is not fully covered in paint, she painted over the nail dust residue rather than fixing it up. Overall this was an unprofessional environment and I would not consider coming back ever again.

Absolutely love this place! I have been coming here for the past 5 months and I am always left happy and amazed. I’ve gotten my nails (acrylics) done by three different nail techs who have never failed to make me happy. The customer service is nice, a few techs even gave me advice on how to heal a wound I have on my cheek. However I do have a favourite lol. Everyone in there is talented, it can be busy at times but this is due to their beautiful results and good prices. I have taken my bf with me a few times to get manicures and pedicures, he always feels comfortable and enjoys his time there. You will not be disappointed ❤️ Definitely had to edit after seeing someone’s review; I received a shellac pedicure, longer than average-detailed acrylic shellac nails, eyebrow waxing & my bf got a manicure; all for under $150. & their shaping is the best I’ve gotten since I’ve been doing my nails (8 years)

They have the worst customer service. They give you an appointment for a certain time but don’t start working on your nails until 2 hours later. When they eventually begin, they don’t apologize for the wait, rather they are rude throughout the entire service. I showed them a simple design and he didn’t know how to do it. Rather than letting me know, he began doing a poor job and I politely let him know that it wasn’t coming out as expected and he began yelling at me and refused to finish my nails. I have been there about 3 or 4 time and each time they rush through my nails and do not pay attention to detail. This time I decided to say something instead of paying over $100 and being unsatisfied and in return the entire staff insulted me and my elderly mother. They did not finish the service and still charged me for the half job. A complete waste of my time, energy and money.

DISAPPOINTED | BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE | OVER PRICED | MONEY HUNGRY I came to this nail salon because of the reviews. But, I was disappointed when I was charged $120.35 for nails that weren’t shaped properly and it eventually peeled off five days later. Lol. I specifically told the nail technician I wanted a flower. He literally said, “I can’t do it. I’ll cash you out.” He either just gave up or wanted to do another client since there was a line up. I would have tipped $30 (I usually do to all nail technicians because my nails are always time consuming lol) I don’t even want to talk about my toe nails…it had black stuff & not shaped. Also, I was charged extra $15 for repair when other salons does it for $5. ANYWAYS, DON’T BE FOOLED BY THEIR REVIEWS. I WENT TO ANOTHER PLACE & IT WAS WAY BETTER. I WAS CHARGED $110 FOR BOTH MANICURE & PEDICURE.YOU CAN TELL THE DIFFERENCE.

Update: I came by to see Cathy after the lift in quarantine and was really sad to hear that there was a change in management. With that said, Beer did not disappoint whatsoever. In fact, he’s probably one of the best nail techs that you can find in the city. I usually stray away from super long nails due to fear of breakage. My hands go through a lot and I’m not particularly careful about protecting them in my day to day life. Even still, when Beer told me that long nails and designs were his favourite sets to do, I figured I’d give it a chance. Almost 3 weeks later, my nails were still in incredible condition and I had no regrets. The salon is easy to book with and his team is very sweet and careful with their work. Very reasonably priced and only a 5 minute walk from finch west station. Thank you Beer and see you again!

So I got convinced by a friend to go there, which I did. The service was ok, I mean they give you free bottled water of good quality(Aquafina bottled water lol). Ok so I spent $65 in total regular pedicure $25 and extensions with acrylic $40. The lady who did my manicure was just the worse, she kept on filling my skin because she was so distracted by talking on the phone. She rushed everything. You really have to speak up. The prices are not consistent. My friend paid $50 and we did the same thing. It’s barely 2 days and the polish on my toes are already coming off. I will just stick to my previous nail salon. I thought they were horrible but this is the worst. Sorry!!!! Not going back.

Customer Service is -1 out of 10. 2nd time booking: Made an appointment in the morning to secure a spot for 5:00PM. Came in the store and was asks to wait "a lil bit" to which was later confirmed about 30 mins to 1 hour wait because the nail tech I booked had entertained another client at 4:50. I was not late and came in early to ensure I am gone from the store at a certain period. Don't book appt with your clients for a time that you can't attend too and stop wasting people's time and gas. Your store's lack of organization and coordination should put you in audit. if you want to waste your time... this is the nail salon for you. Since they don't respect their customer's time anyways.

Was able to get a last minute appointment for a mani/with acrylic and pedi about 45 minutes before they closed, Which is amazing because a lot of salons will turn you away if they know your appointment will run later than their closing times. I was so grateful for that. They didn’t rush their work at all. I’ve honestly never had a better job done on my nails and feet. GO TO BEN For nail services. He is such a talented nail tech. The owner was also sooo nice. This is definitely my new spot. I have lived in the area my whole life and have tried EVERY salon. This spot is THE ONE. Great price for great quality service! I can’t stop looking at my nails.

came to this place 3 times over the last 2 months, their work is decent however, they need to improve their cleaning procedures. Not only did my shellac manicure lasted 5 days (started chipping) I also left with a finger infection, I noticed a few days after my manicure that my finger started swelling. i called to let them know, they offered me a discount... I will NOT be going back here although if you are reading this review and would like to use my discount, by all means go ahead! use 'FINGER INFECTION' at checkout, be sure to let em know in the beginning of your service. It has now been 3 weeks, below is what my finger looks like today...PAIN

I’ve been coming to Beers nails since it’s opened and I never regret my visits and how much I pay for my nails. Although there is a wait time when you show up , the service I receive here never disappoints . I’m always welcomed and seated and made sure I’m cared for as close to my appointment time as possible. Additionally, my nail tech sue always does an amazing job doing my nails as seen in the photos. My nails last me a while (about 3-4 weeks) when I get them done… they never chip, crack , and nothing ever falls off. She always takes her time with me and through her work it shows that she is a very talented and skilled nail technician.

My first set of nails they left me with one crooked finger. I was willing to look past that error because the other 9 finger nails were fine. Ok whatever. 4 weeks go by and now I need a refill. As a busy individual I always make appointments and reservations ahead of time to avoid disappointment/wait time. I never do walk-ins. Tell me why I made an appointment for 530, waited until 6 pm and even then was still not serviced?!? I waited 30 minutes (would have been more but I was so annoyed at lack of service I just LEFT) so basically, if you value your time I would not recommend going here.

Honestly so dissatisfied with the service today. I went in to get my nails repaired and they told me it would be $15! to fix chipped nail polish and a missing gem? Neither was my fault but entirely theirs, this was the second time I had to come in for a nail fix, it’s only been 12 days since I got them. I paid $60 for very short nails that were already done and I just came in for a change. trying to charge me $15 for their mistake is unacceptable. I just walked out, because what’s more frustrating than being unable to express yourself/negotiate when they don’t even speak English?

Not only did they make me wait nearly two hours past my appointment time, but the acrylic started to burn my nails and they tried to play it off as if it was burning because my nails are thin. Which is a whole lie because if that was the case then my nails would burn every time I got acrylics done(It never has). It was burning because of a chemical reaction between the nail primer and too much monomer. Also it's beyond unprofessional to book customers for a time that you are not available. I would've gave 1 star but the finished product of the nails are good.

Everytime I'm here, all the nail techs are ALWAYS distracted by their phones. They'll stop to answer calls or text multiple times throughout the appointment, and it is extremely unprofessional, especially when you need to be somewhere after because it slows down the process. They also seem to fuss when you need to remove a set. It's your job. It makes your client feel uncomfortable when you have a problem providing them a service they are paying for. The boss needs to speak to his team and fix this issue because the customer service provided is disappointing.

This small corner nail spa holds the most kind hearted and knowledgeable staff. I came in with previous bad experience getting my nails done but Cathy sat me down and explained her technique step by step and put my anxiety at ease. I’m so happy with my nails and I’m even more happy that I finally have found a nail place that actually does amazing work with amazing customer experience. I would highly recommend this nail bar to everyone and anyone looking to get their nails done. They’ve made a customer for life. Looking forward to come back! 10/10

I usually dont get my nails done because never really satisfied with them ever!!! I visited beer nails saloon, i called them legit at 7pm asking for an urgent appointment even though they we’re about to close they were able to book me one on the spot. Which was very nice of them. Kate was my nail technician, and i must say for the 1st time i loveeee my nails! They look super well done! The shape was good and the finishing as well! I was soo happy and satisfied with the service given! For sure gonna visit again! Thank you for the great experience!

Totally satisfied with the service. The staff were very friendly, professional and didn't do a rushed unsatisfactory job like other places I've been to in the past. Speed was also good. Mind you, there's always a throng of clients... even at 930pm, so go early if you can. I definitely will be going there again. And their prices are very reasonable (in cash) Moreover, I was very happy to see other Africans there and it was a first time for me and even their reviews of the services were glowing. Met a lady who has been going there for 3 years!

I went recently and the service is horrible I normally don’t leave bad reviews but this is one of those experiences I had to share! They were very rough and I got a pedicure done my toe was bleeding like crazy. I also got manicure as well and same thing. I asked how much it was in total and they still charged me the full price although I told them I didn’t want my toes painted because I was bleeding. I was charged full price for both mani and pedi and I won’t lie my toe still hurts. A quick update my toe is infected

I did my nails here couple of times but last time I made sure about the price over the phone and the guy said $40 I walked in and again let them know if it's for 40 dollars they said "yes" after I got it done... They asked me 55 plus tax and if u use visa or any card it will charge u extra so I end up paying 62 dollars. Very upset and the nails were not very good. I go there because it's so close to my house or else I'm upset with the dumb explanation they gave me for charging extra

Only if I could give 0 to this place! I went there for full face waxing and they said I had to wait only for 15-20 minutes. I waited for exactly 1 hour. I couldn’t leave because it was already too late. I got there at 6:15 and I left around 7:20. Unfortunately, I noticed that they use the same nail file on hands and feet. That was very disappointing. The waxing room is a kitchen and a waxing room. Ot was my first time going to this place and I will never ever go back.

I have been going here for a while because it’s close to me . Unfortunately the quality of service is not the greatest. They are super busy and the guy is money hungry- so they do the service in a quick and shoddy way! Nails chip in one week. So I had my nails done and they barely lasted a week. .. Went back to have them remove them - and they end up charging me! To correct their error! Sad that you treat your loyal customers who come back again and again like that!

I was very pleased with how fast I was able to be seen. Super kind, helped get my things situated. For my pedi, it was very detailed, and for my set of nails, I'm extremely pleased. All of the staff were super kind, laughs and good energy were the vibe. I also forgot my yeti waterbottle , called back, and the owner didn't see it, about 5 minutes later he called back and found it. Super kind !! I'm not from the city but I will be back 100%!

This is my third time at this nail spa. The first 2 times was great but the third time was not a charmed. The attendant did some damage to my big toe, it bleed a lot, took quit some time to stop the bleeding. Accident do happen, my toe hurts so I'm watching my toe and hoping it does not get infected. Edit: I am happy to say my toe did not get infected that was my main concern, it's slowly healing. I'm happy and accident do happen.

My first visit here for nails and the service was great. I am very picky about the shape and evenness of my nails and they did a fantastic job I did not have to ask them to reshape or touch up anything they were perfect. I am hesitant about new nail salons as I have had bad experiences in the past with poor quality work. They did an job my technician was fast and thorough. Could not be happier with the quality and service.

Cathy is the nicest person and is very welcoming. She let your nail experience feels like its your first time at every visit and she takes pride in her work. She checks in with you all the time to make sure you are satisfied and you're both on the same page. The place is also always clean. I give her 10/10 for overall experience. I recently got a pedicure here and the service itself was wonderful. The lady that was doing it was very particular and paid great attention to detail. My issue is that there were no barriers between the pedicure chairs. My normal salon is a lot more COVID safe although it’s further away. I wish this salon was more outfitted to be Covid safe, then this would be my new favourite salon.

Ivy was amazing with my nails. Beer was very welcoming and funny. During my pedicure ivy was very detailed and thorough she’s gonna definitely be my go to. Even my acrylics from the shape to the colour she was excellent, and patient with me. The whole vibe was very nice and cool. Even though I came later than my appointment. This is definitely my staple place for my nails.

It was my first time coming here. It’s in a good location and the staff are nice. I’m giving four stars because my nail tech didn’t talk to me that much so she didn’t really know what I wanted.. but overall my first time experience was good and I liked that the owner was understanding for the reason I was upset. It means a lot when owner cares about their business

Quality service! It’s my first at The Nails Bar to get my nails done. The owner was so nice and pretty mindful on how she make her customer happy. Its my first time as well of the powder dipping nails, its amazing! I can feel the difference on my fingernails. There overall service was totally beyond my expectations! When my cousin and I were having our nails done there was a dispute between the manager and another individual who they work with. But he was extremely rude and raised his voice at the woman a few times over rental fees of something. He didn't care she had customers in the store. Thankfully my son wasn't with me. The service was great & the ladies we lovely

Just had my first experience here and it was awesome. I got a bio gel overlay over my own nails and the women who did my nails was friendly and so sweet. The other nail salon girls were entertaining my 3 year and even painted her nails. Loved it and will definitely be making this place my go to place even if it is a 30 mom ride from my place.

I'm new to the area and googled this location, and I must say this is my new nail spot, they are very accommodating, friendly and informative. They make you feel right at home with great prices, student discounts and amazing nail quality. I would recommend this location to anyone in the area.the salon is very clean and decorated with care.

Had really good service but misleading advertising. Price online when you go through “booking” on their website is different than what they charged in store. I didn’t want to fight it because I really wasn’t in the mood to make a fuss, but they should have honoured the price at least this one time. Unfortunately won’t be coming back.

Visited this salon yesterday, it was a great experience, Rose did my pedicure and Kate did my full set both were done very well with care. My sister had her pedicure and full set done with Catherine, which was done well with care also. I'm hoping the new management and nail techs stay because they're the best! I will be back soon.

Absolutely favourite place to get my nails done. Really great customer service and are very quick & caring. They ensure I have a great experience every time I’m there. One of the few nail places that actually care to enough to make sure that they’ve done the job properly. So happy to have received 25% off my first time there!

Everyone was really nice there. One of the ladies argued with me over the amount of filing needed for my fake nails. The fake nails were poorly done, none are straight, and I have to fix them all myself. I didnt see much of a point of complaining as I did not feel like it was going to fix anything. Sadly won't be going back.

beware that they’ve added $5 for EVERY service and they havent changed the pricelist online or even messaged the change. they only have a written post in the store by the cashier that you’ll only see when you’re about to pay. this is unfair because you come in thinking it’s the same rates but when you’re done, they rob you.

Cathy is the sweetest! She really takes her time and the results are gorgeous! She checks in with you as she’s working to make sure you’re both on the same page and everything is according to your taste. The salon is super clean and organized, it was such a refreshing experience to not feel rushed. 10/10 recommend!

Went here for the pedicure and a new nail set. They did a decent job but they’re very rushed and wanted to close the store asap. The lady who was doing my nails was lowkey watching tik tok lol. If I’m paying $110 for this, I expect a certain level of patience while doing the job you’re getting paid for. #nothappy

I would’ve given ZERO stars if I could. Unprofessional and rude staff. Says refill is $25 and charged me $50 instead because my nails are “MEDIUM LENGTH” and I wanna put colour on them. I paid $90 for me and my mom for a simple colour refill. Both of our nails are crooked and uneven. Very disappointed.

Such an amazing salon! Came in because my sister recommended me it and now I’m trying to get my other friends to come. Cathy is such an amazing and talented nail tech. She makes sure your nails are perfect and she makes you feel comfortable and welcomed at the salon! Best salon I’ve been to.

Absolutely awful. Will never return. Not only did they have me waiting over an hour I have never paid so much for a poorly done bio gel refill. Adding an extra 20$ to paint my tips white (and crooked) is unreal. Would not recommend. Go to Lindaly nails across the street for better service.

This is the most welcoming and friendliest nail salon I’ve been to. Everyone is patient and helpful - especially when selecting a colour. And if you change your mind, they’re happy to accommodate a colour change. The service is top-notch and quality of work is excellent. Highly recommend.

The unprofessionalism from the staff here is laughable. The Manager, his sister Sue and his wife are all disrespectful. The have no customer service skills and think it's okay. The ruined my nails and did not take accountability. They also overcharge for their services and lie about it.

Hands down Beer nails is the best nail salon EVER and I am so happy I’ve found them. I travel all the way from Scarborough because no one else can do my nails like Sue. The shape and designs are top tier and I am never disappointed! The price is reasonable and the service is quick!

I always have a good experience coming here! Every nail tech is really good&knows what their doing. Christina did my nails today and she did an amazing job, she was also really quick. I drive almost 2 hours to come here but it’s worth it. You definitely won’t be disappointed

Had a shellac manicure done 2 weeks ago and it's still looking amazing. Excellent service! They really took their time. Salon was new and clean too. I'm not from the area so unfortunately won't be able to make this my regular spot, but I highly recommend to anyone who is!

I’ve been coming here since they opened. Kate is the ABSOLUTE BEST nail artist. Attention to detail at its finest. She makes fake nails look so real and whatever design you show her she will do. The staff is super friendly. Definitely recommend!

Beer and the staff were very kind, professional, and skilled. Beer took his time with my manicure and eyebrows, and the woman that did my pedicure was thorough and did not disappoint. I highly recommend if you want your money's worth!

Cathy is by far one of the nicest nail techs ever! Super patient and always asks for your input and ideas and is an amazing conversationalist. Salon is exceptionally clean. Would definitely come back, thanks Cathy!

I did a shellac, toenail, polish change, and a biogel French manicure and I’m in love with the job that they did. Sue did my bio gel nails and she was really sweet everyone there was very friendly and really fast!

Love this place so much, this is the only nail shop I go to! I only get my nails done by Sue & does them perfectly every time! I always get compliments on my nails & I tell everyone about this place!
