A small, independent bookshop near Victoria, with friendly and helpful staff. The small size means they can't hold a lot of stock, but the selection - focusing on fiction (esp crime), history, local and children's - is interesting, and they are happy to order in. The displays are well-thought out and tempting, and the staff pick notes on the shelves provide good guidance. A very enjoyable book-browsing/buying experience.

It's like amazon but with instant delivery and it works offline. Also you get recommendations outside of your usual taste so you'll discover a whole world of books you might have never even heard of otherwise. Went in looking for an engineering book, went out with six entirely different books. Brilliant.

Lovely bookshop with friendly staff located about a 5 minute walk from Victoria station, in a pretty area of Belgravia. For lovers of the James Bond books, the house where Ian Fleming once lived is just a little bit further down this street. There's a blue plaque on the wall outside.

Fantastic service ! I ordered a few titles which I saw on the website to be posted on to me. Needed them quickly as they were a present and Andy was great to make sure they were posted out quickly and received in good speed. Thanks Andy, very helpful and well packed! Great service!

This has a great range of literature, and some wonderful children's books. The price is a touch steep but not unexpected for the area. Only real grumble was the guy serving me when I went in the other day, really didn't seem to want to be there - didn't send the best vibes.

stunning little indie bookshop with great selection of fiction, non-fiction and translated. good pubs around as well, so highly recommend stocking up on books, talking to the wonderful people in there and then sneaking for a pint and a read.

I needed a book on very short notice in the US. I reached out and Andy was super helpful and the item arrived super fast and well packaged. I am very grateful for the great service and look forward to visiting when next in the UK.

Shop local! The people who work here are great. They went out of their way to suggest some really good reads and even ordered books that they thought I might like! Most of which I now have! Keep up the good work.

The bookstore’s selection is fantastic! The problem is just picking one. The staff was very friendly and they have a great “staff picks” shelf. It’s always great to find and support an indie bookstore.

  • Matt Ianson

Nice bookstore, not very big but with a good selection of books, with a diverse selection of authors. Lots of different staff picks to help with browsing and also some signed copies.

  • Walter A. Simson

What a great shop. Made it a destination, stayed an hour, had a lovely conversation and bought a number of titles I wouldn’t find elsewhere. Highly recommended!

  • Costa

A wonderful little shop, packed with a great mix of new releases and classics from a variety of genres. Perfect if you want a reprieve from Victoria.

  • Peter Simon

A small shop with a nice variety of options. Grab a book published right there and head down the street to TomTom for a cup of coffee on the corner.

Just love book shops especially the independent 1. I go in to browse and walk out with 2 or 3 books. The staff understand their books.
