Steve came to us with an already high regard from previous customers and this was confirmed in his dealings with us. His friendly manner, local knowledge and professional acumen, convinced us he knew what he was doing, assuring us that he had our best interests at heart. While showing a strong passion to help us sell the house, he was respectful of the fact that it was our family home and was difficult for us to part with. He was challenged on some of his proposed strategies and costs but was always patient and respectful, giving good explanations for his ideas. His suggestions for the family in preparing the home for sale were quite more extensive than we had envisioned but proved to be the right thing to do, even though at times we wondered if it would just be bought and bulldozed for development at a lower price than was hoped for. Steve’s decision to seek a sale before auction was validated when open houses and auctions were cancelled due to Covid-19. Inviting some interested buyers, he and his co-worker, Yili Ma, organized an 'after hours' auction at their office to avoid coming Covid-19 restrictions, and succeeded in getting an amazing price for the property Steve, along with Yili Ma, was able to obtain a price well beyond the reserve we had decided on. Steve was able to build up trust and rapport not only with us as vendors but also in his dealings with buyers without compromising the excellent sale he obtained for us.

0 stars wasn't an option. Had the worst tenancy with them. The property price was falsely advertised and they charged us more, and the unit wasn't even fit for people to live in. In hindsight I would've run from this place as fast as I could but needed somewhere to live. Mould everywhere in the kitchen and shower when we arrived and even after several attempts to have it cleaned, it wasn't and we had to change the grout ourselves. Severe smelly water damage in the kitchen which they couldn't care less about. Inside the oven was the most putrid thing I've ever seen; just look at the pictures below. And there was gunk and rubbish all down the sides of it too. The first agent we saw the place with was so unhelpful and was a bit of a bully who ended up randomly leaving and we got some other lady who was even worse. For example we made it EXTREMELY clear from the beginning that we would like to be home for any inspections/enters and when we kept trying to organise an inspection time, were told that she had just gone in willy nilly when we weren't home. She also claimed to "not have received emails" for things that suited her (how convenient!). Even the receptionist was rude every single time we went there/called. We returned our bond claim form at the end of the tenancy which in the space of a day or two, they somehow managed to lose it. Hocking Stuart caused us so many headaches. Please, do yourself a favour and go anywhere else.

False advertising. Moved in 4 months ago, air cons needed regassing. No support or proactive response from Hocking Stuart Glen Iris. Someone got back to me on 29 December asking me to hurry up with unit #s before NYE holiday. Rushed & haven’t heard anything since. Emails unreplied until you start throwing around VCAT. Multiple broken promises. Missed work for inspection, they didnt show up. They do not return calls either. I understand being busy, but 4 months of being chased is not ok. Still chasing btw, so I’ve been burning to death this summer. Car stacking system so unreliable, dies weekly & weekends no one comes out because the technicians have not been paid for 8 months by the owners/body corp. The least they could do is reduce the rent until its fixed and fit for purpose. But they just ignore and avoid tenants. Totally ruined 3 holiday trips & still no response. Car towed twice, & running out of options. Literally forced to drive to work and pay for parking daily because if I leave the car on the street it gets towed!!!! It’s disappointing to be honest. Esp from them

Run don't walk to the next agent. Their agent representing me left the company during the campaign to sell my house and no-one followed up and told me - I found out when he called from his next company; they lost the keys; they lost the conveyancing paperwork; they told me after 10 weeks that I was unrealistic in the sale price (which they and two other agents told me was easily obtainable, I didn't set it); tried to bully and belittle me into paying more for advertising after their failed efforts and then told me I was being unreasonable in the profit I was expecting to make. Their director, Ross English, mocked me when I suggested that there was at least one prospect from the inspections (what I'd been told by the departed agent) and that the agent was wrong in setting my expectations. When I said that he was representing Ross' agency and therefore he was somewhat responsible too, he wouldn't concede any wrongdoing by the agency and expected me to put my hand back in my pocket. The experience cost me over ten thousand. Save yourself the cash and go elsewhere.

The worst property management I have ever experienced. I lived in a rental/houseshare for over 2 years with Belle Properties. I had 3 different property managers over this time. Communication was absolutely terrible. I would send multiple emails with no follow up replies, so I would call and they would advise my email went to junk mail. This would happen on multiple occasions. It took a year for a roof leak in one of the bedrooms to get fixed, and this only happened after finally going through VCAT. Because of this there was massive amounts of mould on the walls. Time and time again this didn't get fixed and they finally decided to paint the wall about another year later. Not once in 2 years was there a house inspection and to get any maintenance completed at the house it took a very long time. I could go on and list a number of other issues as there were many, but I will say that I will never be going through Belle Properties for a rental again!

Please reconsider using Belle Glen Iris as your agent. We engaged Steve last year to sell our apartment. He was really eager to represent us as our agent. We knew what agents could be like and he reassured us that he different and understood our needs. When the campaign started, Steve went into autopilot. You could tell his agenda was to sell and he would not listen or deviate from his 'standard operating procedure'. Instead of supporting us, it became about realigning our expectations and dropping our price. We originally made the decision to sell based on his advice on what price we would get for our apartment. It showed a real lack of integrity and accountability. People make life decisions based on agents' advice, which they don't stand by and mask it that they're shifting with the market. I spoke with a total of 4 agents and I instantly knew that Tony was the one I wanted to work with, as other agents were a bit wishy washy throwing their sales pitch, but from Tony I got a direct approach and clear answers which I was looking for and felt confident he would he was the best to handle customers and potential buyers. Tajanee sill is the specific agent that has been telling me for 4 months she's going to fix it. once I asked to talk to my landlords directly as it appeared she couldn't stand up to them, they tried to accuse me of stalking. severely severely breached multiple parts of residential act. care more about money gained from owners than upholding the law. do not use this agency.

If they can't instruct their distributors of their promotional material to follow a request to not put advertising material in a mail box with "NO JUNK MAIL" and then they don't respond to an e-mail send to Head Office (Head office did respond but not the Glen Iris office) and CCed to them requesting they don't send mail... ... Well how can you trust them to sell a house or manage a property on your behalf?

I wrote the 1st review in 2020 to appreciate Jay's helpful when I placed the deposit. After settle the payment of the apartment, the property agent has not helped anymore to fix the problem. I moved in with lots of unfixed issue, which they have promised, very disappointed. Steve gave me the best price to purchase which is the most expensive price in the range. As a new here, I have learnt so much.

Contacted Glen Iris for an appraisal of an apartment given the great reviews and Damian was quite responsive, gave me the information I requested and we made an appointment so he could to inspect the apartment (1 of 8 in the block that they could have managed). He never arrived. Called his mobile. No answer. Not heard from them since.

I agree with many of the stories shown here. I've unfortunately suffered through tenancy and bond transfers which were lost, forgotten and lied about. Had further issues with changing property managers who behaved aggressive and threatening - as though property issues were my fault. By far the worst realestate agents I've ever used.

Auction of 9 Tower Hill Road, Glen Iris Steve ran a very effective auction of our house. There was a number of bidders and from the start he kept the bidding moving, injecting his patter to fill pauses and keep the momentum going. Very professionally done, with a very good outcome the result.

We drove 90mins to an inspection for a house managed by this agent after being invited by an automated text the same morning. Turns out the property had already been leased. If they can’t even manage an automated text system, can they be trusted to manage or sell your property? Think twice.

The way some of there property managers treat tenants is horrendous, Had financial difficulty paid rent one day late and the way property manager spoke to me over phone was as if she owns it. It is an horrible experience. No professional attitude.

On more than one occasion they have made mistakes that cost me money and when I question them about it the blatantly lie to try to cover their tracks! I have caught them out in these lies and they just admit it. Worst real estate agents ever!!!
