Foods really good. Just tried to order from here, I am a regular and order very often. This time I ordered, asked to pay by card and then stated I would collect. For some reason the staff on the phone wanted me to come into the store and pay with my card saying it will be much easier..we always pay by card over the phone. I don't carry money or cards unless absolutely necessary. I then said I would have a dog with me as I don't go out alone due to disability. He didn't care, replied with just come in a pay with your card. So I said ok I just have it delivered then and can I pay by card, so now his reply was so you want delivery now, I said yes..he then repeated like a petulant child. At this point I'm done with this charade...No I'll just cancel, it doesn't matter. Why is it so important to this firm I must come in with my card. Also afew months ago while paying with card the same person asked for the details as normal then asked for the security number on the back, I replied with you don't ask for that, and he carried on with the order. This seemed strange to me. Today I just wanted to order a curry and pick it up but ended with a debate about money and how I had to pay. Never had this issue from any takeaway or any where tbh won't be ordering again from there, very strange. Edited for the reply.. Thanks for the patronising reply I didn't want one. I didn't lie in my review, my calls are recorded. I did not ring your company to commit fraud or pay using fraudulent means as I assume you assumed and the reason I had to come in and pay with my card. Again quite strange and just disrespectful you think that of your customers and like myself a regular one. And just because you the manager says my staff didn't speak in the manor I described does not make it true, he did not say what you have quoted at all..."you want it delivered"...with attitude, was the last thing he said. So you are a liar you didn't hear him at all you are trying to make out he did nothing wrong and speak reasonably. But it doesn't matter now that is the reason you received my 1 star review.

I’ve ordered from Bengal cottage on many occasions and usually have no issues at all. I actually ordered a few days ago (mixed tikka kebab) and it was fresh, hot and a decent portion for £8. I ordered the same tonight but unfortunately the food was cold, the chips were very soggy and I was given next to no meat. My partners burger was wet through and had the sauce missing, overall an extremely disappointing takeaway and terrible value for money, think we’ll be sticking to Garforth for our takeaways in the future ————— In response to Mo, and to address a few things. 1. The food was sat waiting on the side when I walked in, not packed in front of me, I arrived within the time frame given to me over the phone, I went straight home and live round the corner. 2. I didn’t ask for extra sauces, online it says you can have a maximum of 2 sauces on the kebab, I asked for two chilli, any extra sauce was your staffs choice, so why would I be charged? The burger is described as having mayonnaise but there was no sauce on the burger 3. The food was soggy and below the usual quality, but rather than apologise for this and take the feedback, you question the honesty of my review, it shows as an owner you accept no responsibility and push blame back to paying customers. 4. Comments regarding the can? I never mentioned an issue with the can of pop. Poor quality of food and owners who refuse to accept responsibility and instead imply customers are lying, tells you everything you need to know.

We ordered the mix starter it came with 1 x salad for 2 people when should come with 2 x salads. This may seem small to re send another salad out but we have noticed this happens alot. The food at this place is very nice but I was disappointed having called the resteraunt and was told we will deliver it next time. They checked with the kitchen whilst i was on the phone and he confirmed kitchen sent 1 salad, this was disappointing as we've had 2 x salads sent in the past. There was not 2 x lots of salads on one dish like the owners replied, it was barely enough salad for 1 person tbh. We are not liars, I have read the reply from the takeaway and it isn't true. I have redone your star rating to be fair you and your takeaway, all I ask is that this be addressed when ordering a mixed starter and that the kitchen issues out 2 x salads or enough salad for 2 x people because they didn't. Your response is total and utterly lies, you were never spoken to rudely whatsoever and you have no integrity. Shame on you.

We're not from the area but googled local curry restaurants. I was drawn to this restaurant due to the fantastic reviews! I called the restaurant and the gentleman I spoke to was so friendly and accommodating and said he would deliver to our hotel. The food arrived and I've got to say it was the best curry we've had in a long time it was cooked to perfection! We live in the next town but we will travel to this restaurant again to have another meal.

Have ordered on many occasions and it’s safe to say I have never been disappointed. I have ordered for takeout as well as getting it delivered and the service provided has always been exceptional. The food has always been fresh and very tasty, always warm when it arrives and has always been on time if not earlier than usual. The fellas have always smiled and been very professional. Had our first order delivered tonight after seeing rave reviews and we were certainly not disappointed - delivered promptly and food was hot - tasted amazing and the biggest, tastiest onion bhaji ever, fish pakora was so well cooked and not dry - Staff Curry out of this world - a little gem of a take-away and putting Micklefield on the map - delivery driver was very smiley and polite - will be using you guys again and again - well done and you deserve best take-away award

After I expressed my issues on a Google review, Mo was quick to get in touch and rectify the issue. He invited me to try again after my first experience didn't meet my expectations, but it certainly did on the second with a much richer flavour - couldn't fault it. Wonderful Chicken Madras and the tikka meat starters were delicious. You've gained a repeat customer through your terrific food and friendly customer service .

Where do i start, Mo’s Bengal Cottage is the best curry house i have been to. From the wonderful food to the excellent customer service, Mo has clearly not cut any corners in providing his services at the best of his ability to his customers. He Caters for everyones needs and the food is always fresh. Never had a bad experience and dont think i will as everything is always cooked to perfection.

Started ordering from here around 6 weeks ago! I would not go anywhere else for a curry now! By far the best around. Not once had a bad curry and all cooked to perfection chicken melts in your mouth. Friends raved about this place for the past year or so. Being loyal customers to Cumin in Milford we always know a good curry. We thought we’d give bengal cottage a try and we wasn’t disappointed. Friendly order taker. Delivery did take a while but it was surely worth the wait. Fresh, tasty and the best curry around for miles. Will be using regularly and recommending to others

Ordered from here before and great meal, not as great of an experience this time which was a shame. Driver arrived on time but onion bhajis were cold. Main meal nice, lovely chicken but not many pieces and not much rice. Deserved 4 star for food quality and service, and hopefully back to 5 stars next time.

The food we get from this takeaway is some of the best food I have ever had. They make the best onion bhajis I have ever tasted and all the food we’ve had has never disappointed us. The staff are so friendly,they have become part of the village so quickly and are proud to serve us. But,it’s the food that we come back for,time and time again,keep up the good work!

Thought we’d swap from our usual in sherburn & honestly so glad we did! Everything was piping hot, fresh and the best. Our new favourite by a country mile. Please do note the wait on a weekend the wait times are slightly long but honestly worth every minute! Keep up the work guys

Lovely food! Come from Bradford every Saturday! Great set of young lads who are very polite and have a love for food and customer service! I overpaid for my meal, instead of paying £12 it went through as £120 - the restaurant instantly rectified this for me and we're incredibly helpful and polite throughout. Fantastic service and even better food; I drive 5 villages over for food from here because its that good and great value for money. Excellent all round! More

Fabulous little Indian takeaway in Micklefield. Between our household we have tried numerous dishes and all have been delicious. I'd normaly give lamb dishes a miss but the lamb here is lovely. We are in Garforth and this place beats them all, just wish we'd found them before March.

Awesome!! Wanted to mark this down 1 star because they messed up 2 out of 4 sauces on our mixed grills but the food was so tasty I couldn't do it. Just a warning to check before you leave with your takeaway!

The worst local takeaway I’ve tried. The last review must be fake as the rice was out of a packet. The chips were like rubber and the korma chicken was nasty. Waste of £20 tbh. Highly recommended not trying this place

Absolutely lovely curries, always nice and good value for money. We get the set meal for 2 sometimes and it's like a banquet, the staff are always friendly. The only downside is having to decide which dish you want!
