Update March 25th: had to reduce rating due to aggressive demeanor towards those who park near his door but aren't immediately showing indications of stopping in for food (I was considering today, but not now). Stalls are marked 30 minute parking, and not exclusive to any particular establishment. Claiming someone is "blocking your door" when they're parked near it is not a great way to get new customers, or encourage repeat business. Original review: First and foremost, its so nice to be able to come into a Donair shop that's not only well lit, but also nice and modern looking! Stopped in for a large Donair combo (with sweet sauce, lettuce, tomato, and onion), and I would definitely say it's one of the better shops in town that I've tried. Way too many places have a sweet sauce that is overpowering, but here it's a very balanced sauce that compliments the meat. Donair meat is well seasoned in and of itself, but once again isn't an overwhelming flavour or heat. Getting your food does take a few minutes, but made to order food is that way, and I do not consider this a negative at all, just merely a side effect of everything being made right then and there, which gives you deliciously fresh food alongside crisp and hot fries. Gravy being included in the combo is a lovely perk, and once again, like the other items tried it has a nice balance to it that works well with the fries. Naturally, they also make burgers and pizzas plus a few other things, which I look forward to trying next time!

Great food, but odd quirks... Came here for a staff supper. We chose Best Bite because it was within walking distance, welcomed under age, and the ratings were great! The food was prepared in a timely manner and was served to us within minutes. They gave us small paper plates (~6"), barely big enough to hold one slice of pizza. When I asked for ketchup for the fries, they said there were some packets beside the basket (not sure why they didn't have bottle to offer for tables). When we were finished and I asked for to-go containers, they offered me small, white, paper bags. A little baffled, I asked if there was something with a little more rigidity (since we had nearly a whole pizza left over, to split amongst each other). Right in front of the cash register were cardboard boxes, three different sizes, stapled together, presented as serving examples. I asked about the boxes, and they told me, "$1 each." Now completely baffled, I saw right above their head were some Styrofoam containers. So I asked if we could use those, and he said sure. Once again, they were barely big enough to hold a slice of pizza, as the containers were about 5"x5". All and all, we had a great time! But be aware to ask for "extra" if dining in.

Friendly staff and good food Have eaten three multiple times. However the last time i was in i ordered what i usually get. when i went home and had lunch it tasted funny. within a matter of minutes i was having an allergic reaction and was very red itchy and swollen , i ended up having to co cancel the rest of my day and loosing hundreds of dollars in business. I had called them the same day explaining this situation as i had been there multiple times and this has never append. To which she replied " we changed the recipe for the wrap" and that "it was already premade with different spices. THIS WAS NOT TOLD TO ME WHEN I ORDERED AND COULD HAVE EASILY ENDED UP IN THE HOSPITAL. Why was there no courtesy in telling me that they had changed there recipe or at least a sign acknowledging the change? . There was no sympathy or concern when letting them know , some people could have severe allergies worse then mine, it should be there do diligence telling people this. will not be back.

First time ordering of a regular donair from Best Bite Windermere late Friday night. The regular sized donair with sweet sauce is definitely the best donair I have ever had. The meat was medium spicy (I like it spicy! Hotter would be even better)! I ordered a large chocolate shake also, and it was good too, definitely not as good as a marble slab shake, but still good. Prices are a bit more than other places, but I am good with paying a bit more money as long as the quality is there. The quality was definitely there, so the higher prices are just fine with me. It’s all about value, and the value for my money is spot on. I will definitely come here again! It’s nice to be able to order a large chocolate milkshake that’s good quality so late at night. Can’t get late night shakes anywhere (McDonalds shakes suck).

Went in after an inquiry on Facebook. Very quick to respond. Was greeted by an extremely friendly individual named Mike. Mike took the time to explain some of the items on the menu and how it is prepared. My wife is Celiac so it becomes difficult for us to agree on a great place to eat. Mike and Best Bite offer gluten free alternatives. they also offer Kosher and vegan menu items. I tried the Donair, after getting it home, I thought it was a bit small for a large Donair but I was home. I bit into it and was extremely pleased with the taste. very fresh ingredients and extremely tasty. I will definitely be going back. The Gluten-free pizza must be ordered a day in advance in order to prepare. Everything is made fresh to order. Restaurant is extremely clean, great place to order from. Thank you Mike.

Ordered two pizzas thru Skipthedishes like always because this place has good pizza for great value. 1/2 hour after we ordered, restaurant called to tell us they made a mistake saying it was the driver's fault. So we rated the experience as incorrect as our son with dairy allergies cannot eat the meal that was delivered to us. Skip offered a full credit reimbursement. Less than 10 minutes later, owner or manager called to harass us and say that we're thieves. I'm not sure why we were harassed for the incorrect order and mistake that they blamed the driver for. This man was very rude and kept saying we stole from him. We've ordered a lot from this place but the fact that he called to harass us over 2 pizzas and the fact that he has our address, I'm a little worried for my kids.

Food was awesome, very clean, and very friendly staff. Was reading review with one star by someone using third-party service, try going in or picking up yourself bet its an entirely different experience. I don't use apps for food. I go in, order by phone, or have their delivery drivers( if they have none I get cabs to pickup and deliver) this goes for all restaurants, been doing it for over 30 years, ya know since before trash smartphones.

Ordered a beef Donair and a chicken shawarma wraps. Both were delicious. My only critique is that the Donair needed a bit more sweet sauce. Did not taste any on the first third of the wrap. I like that they let you select the veggies. The price of the wraps is comparable with other Donair shops in the area. Friendly service in an immaculately clean store. Will have to try the pizzas as the pictures are tempting.

Recently moved to Edmonton, and in particular, the SW area. So always looking for new places to try. Found Best Bite on Google and based on all the great reviews, decided to try it out one night! The owner and staff are so friendly and welcoming, the place is clean, the price is great and portions generous and the food was delicious!!! The donair was flavourful, fresh and tasty! Everything you could want in a donair and more! I will be back again to try some pizza and a burger for sure! So happy to have this place in my neck of the woods!

First time writing a review and a first time customer at Best Bite. Ordered a regular donair, a large B.B wrap and 2 pops for $40.39. Paid $19.89 for the "Large" B.B warp came with no chicken and the portion can hardly justify the hefty price, the taste was ok but i personally find the sweet sauce to be overwhelming compared to it's competitors. order slip was also no where to be found. Not the best experience, hate to say this but I would have to agree with those who also rated 1 star. Best of luck.

This place is great! From Burgers to Donairs and Pizza all there food is great! The owner is a super awesome guy and goes out of his way for Customers! From living in London Ont. I miss a classic there Green Olives on pizza! Is amazing try it! No place in town offers them. But told him how much I missed it. And he went out and got Green Olives just for me! He Carrie's them now. So If you want to try the best pizza topping ever! On one of Edmonton's best Pizzas! Head on over there and ask for them! You will not regret it!

Fantastic onion rings. Really crunchy and cooked perfectly. Donair meat was cooked nicely, and the seasoning was pretty good. I'd say slightly under-seasoned, but acceptable. The sweet sauce was far too sweet, and I wouldn't ask for it again. Like, maple syrup sweet, and a similar consistency. Very nice server. Also, a little more expensive than we were expecting from a Donair place. Somewhere between 3 and 4 stars, but closer to 4, I guess. Might go back for the pizza or a burger.

If you want to support local and support a great guy, go to Best Bites. Mike - the owner - is a wonderful man. He has some of the best pizzas I've ever had. He personally delivered 3 medium pizzas to our chiropractic clinic over the holidays and all three flavours were a hit. The crust is the best part. If you want delivery - order directly through them not skip the dishes! They are happy to do it or you can pick it up yourself because the cooks and workers all deserve it!

I pay the premium price for pizza because they have great thick toppings. I didn't get great toppings this time. I am tired of the massive scale back in toppings. If they are going to only put 1-2 pineapple on each slice compared to what they used to, then I will switch to a cheaper pizza place. I also choose to pay a ridiculous sum for a side of garlic sauce (which is amazing) but very over-priced. Too bad they are scaling back as they are.

Very inconsistent! I've had both the best and worst donair I've ever had from this place. The food quality is incredibly inconsistent and it honestly makes me question going back. We live in the neighborhood and frequent quite often, however in the past few months things have changed. Maybe new owners or managers?? Whatever happened, they've gone downhill in my opinion. With 2 other donair shops within a 1 min walk from them, they need to step up their game.

Having ordered a few times, the food isn’t bad. While the customer service could really use some work. They add extra charges to your order without having any add ons and just replacing one topping with another or even base sauce. When you let them know about the unexpected price adjustment, they are really impolite and start arguing with you. Would not go again.

WORST SERVICE AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. We waited over 30 minutes in the shop for our food and they still managed to miss a donair. We called to complain and get our missed item delivered but he said that he has to think about it because we are 10-15 mins away. Think twice about going here this isn't the first time this has happened to us, but this is the first time we complained and the last time we will ever order from them.

I've been here a few times and the gentleman who owns it is always happy and makes one heck of a Donair! If you're in the SW and need a meal you should give this place a try. I have only ever had the Donair Combo, I just love it too much to try something new, although I assume it will be equally delicious. The combo comes with a very tasty gravy and the fries are perfect. Prices seem competitive. 10 would recommend.

We tried this place out yesterday (June 26th, 2021) and it was FANTASTIC!! The service was amazing, the staff is super friendly and accommodating. You get what you pay for. We got 2 medium pizza’s and a large order of mozzarella sticks. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! We were completely stuffed after 3 slices and a few mozzarella sticks! Food was terrible. Almost $100 for 2 donairs and 2 small pizzas. I had the chicken shwarma. It was really soggy, the whole thing was wet and the chicken tasted old and dry. The pizza had way too much sauce and it tasted bad the spices were really overpowering, the 3 cheese pizza was gross my kids could barely get it down. Awful experience. First and last time eating here. Yuck.

Had the jumbo shwarma wrap and onions rings. The largest wrap I ever had twice the size of other places and they filled it completely tasted good aswell. Oinion rings were good not your typical cheap Oinion rings! Will be back

Great donairs! We ordered one of each size of donairs and you can see the difference. They were all excellent and packed with meat. I like that the onions are diced and not not sliced strips like many other places. We ordered and paid for a large donair poutine as well but when we got home, we were given just a basic poutine so that was very disappointing. I would go back for donairs!

Since my daughter introduced to this beautiful establishment we have been ordering shawarma, and donairs from them. We tried many but none come close to their quality, taste, friendlyness and amount of meat they put in their sandwiches. If you are ever in the Windermere area give them a try.

I love Persian food. Shawrma, donair you name it. Usually though pizza at Persian places are more like pita and not a good. Well not to me anyway. The pizza here though... is amazing. Abundant cheese, crispy I dough and a mouth watering crispy crust. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. It is the best pizza I have had in Windemere and Terwillegar.

Had a Chicken Donair here the other day. Very impressive, tasty well wrapped. Also had some fries. Was delicious, we’ll definitely be coming back to this spot to try some other items. My husband and I ordered two large poutines here this evening, and to quote my husband “this tastes unreal”. The portion was huge, the cheese didn’t just end on the top - it was all the way through the poutine. The gravy is delicious and everything was the perfect temperature. Glad we found this spot for late night eats, so so good.

Went in today and asked for a regular donair with cheese, regular fries, a gravy and regular shake. Instead of getting what I asked for. Everything was increased to larges, gravy wasn't added, fries were all soft and the milkshake was pretty much just flavoured milk. I would not recommend this place to anyone and WILL NEVER be back again.

Disappointing experience. Order two donairs, one mixed and one beef. In both we request no lettuce, and each came with brown wilted lettuce which was a big turn off. The beef was extremely over cooked and dry. Had high hopes based on the reviews, will stick to the other donair shops in the area that put out a much better quality product.

Great food and very friendly management and staff. It's so nice to have a good non-franchise pizza shop in Windermere. This is not thin pizza - it is thick with toppings. The donairs are extremely tasty and massive. All the food is reasonably priced and they often have deals. There is also a good selection of ice cream to choose from.

Quality of the food was good. We had the chicken shawarma, jalapeno chicken pizza and garlic fingers. Sweet sauce was a little weird, if I ordered again I'd go with the garlic sauce. Biggest downfall was our order was missed through the online ordering system so we had to wait in the parking lot for 15 minutes for our pickup order.

The worst Donair I had in my life!!. It had no flavor whatsoever, served cold and soggy. I asked for my Donair with hot sauce added wasn't done either. It was prepared really fast, by the time I paid for it with the Boss man the Donair was packed and ready to go , makes my wonder if it was freshly prepared. Great Service though.

We ordered the meat pizza and it was delicious! Lots of cheese and meat. The dough was perfect too. I ordered a side of tzatziki to, it was okay. It was a bit looser than I like and was more of a dill dip, not saying was bad, I used it all but wasn't quite what I was craving. Overall, we will definitely be ordering again!

Great local place! Mike was so helpful in making our virtual party between 8 families successful. Only ever had the donair and fries and they were delicious so I bet the rest of the food is good too. What really stood out to me is how CLEAN this restaurant is. Like eat off the floor clean! Alberta health should use this restaurant as the yard stick as to how other restaurants are measured.

A Large Donair purchased for $13 + tax. It was a little skinny for that price, but very tasty. Garlic sauce+hot sauce. Cheese was an extra $1.50 also a bit much. Normally a large Donair at $13+ includes cheese. Not quite the value for the dollar here imo, but the Donair was good.

Great hidden gem tucked away in Southwest Edmonton. Only had the chance to try out their pizzas and wings but was not disappointed. Order online for a bit of a discount, but you definitely get great value for the amount they put on their pizzas.

Out of all the donair places in the area I usually go here. Always nice and friendly staff with a family who I always see working. They also have a good selection of veggies which other donair places sometimes lack. I thoroughly recommend them.

A great local (to us) family run restaurant ! Quality ingredients and top service set them apart from the rest! My kids don`t always ask for BEST BITE they ask for Mike`s Pizza :)

We just ordered from here. We had a donair and the Best Bite Sandwich along with 2 milkshakes. So tasty and the quality was spot on! Very happy this is in our neighbourhood!

First time i tried and will definitely coming back. I could tell that i have fresh vegetables and meat. It’s crunchy and tasty with the perfect amount of sauces.

Best burger and French fries with perfect gravy . Also Pizza are favorite for my kids. Always when visiting Edmonton I go to Best Bite need to try it .

Poor customer service!! Made wrong pizza for me. And they even won't admit it. Instead blame the customer taste issues .never go back again .
