Waited 15 min.s before I was able to "grab" someone to help me with my new purchase of phone, and peripherals ( not sure for what reason but there were a few staff where I literally locked eyes with them, and they still managed to slip away to other aisle). After I was done paying for this purchase (40 min.s later and I am just buying the phone, AKA "for them to go to the back and grab it out for me"...not with any phone plan at all) I also need to buy a PS5 game for my nephew. Because of recent trend with shoplifters, all the games on the floor were just empty cases and you have to grab the empty case to the cash register and they will go into a locked cabinet to obtain the actual game. Made sure I got the PS5 version, but then when I brought it to the cashier, she grabbed the PS4 version from their vault. My fault I didn't check at that moment because after getting stuck in a overheated store with lackluster staff for more than 45 minutes, you would want to hastily get out of that place right away too.... Sure enough, when I got home and I gave my nephew the game he didn't even check and unwrapped the plastic wrap popped it into his PS5, only realizing that it was a PS4 version instead of a PS5. At the end, he was able to upgrade it digitally for free via Sony network but still it was an absolute horror show of an experience. I would not recommend going to this location if you are in a bit of a rush.

Absolute worst customer service. Went in the morning to beat the lines to buy a phone because we have a baby. First of all, only one phone of each of the Samsung versions to try out. Secondly all the phones on display are only one colour, when we asked the staff if we could view the back of the demo phone which was the colour we wanted, he refused to remove the phone and let us see the back? Third, only 2 staff helping with phone purchases, one typing on his computer with one finger during one of the busiest phone seasons (labour day), the other staff clearly helping out his friend, the staff claimed they were activating the phone but his buddy was on the line with Rogers customer retention searching for the best deal. My husband worked for Rogers so he was aware of what was going on! We stood in line for an hr, then asked how long, and he said another hour! Absolutely ridiculous. Managers should be aware that staff are abusing their privilege for their friends, who make no attempt to hide what's going on, joining the staff member behind the counter even, while other customers wait and wait in line for hours and hours. Will NEVER make the mistake of coming to this best buy again, probably won't even shop at any best buy ever again.

I went to return an Airflyer which I bought on Nov 28 for my family member. She told me on the phone she did not want it. It was never taken to her condo. I had a little time today Dec15 and returned it. The service counter man asked me why I returned it. I told him my daughter did not want it. He asked “was it opened before”. I said no. He said it was opened because the Transparent boxing tape was wrinkled on the edge of the box when the 2 cardboard s meet. I said again it was never opened. If it were opened, both ends of the tape would peel off the surfaces of the cardboard. But the picture of the air flyer picture was perfect. There was no cut line on the junction of the 2 cardboard and there no 2nd later on top of this edge, indicating the tape was never cut. It was the gesture of this customer service man and his tone of voice bothered me as if I were lying. Just because he thought I was not telling him the truth , and his subjective opinion was not based on any evidence, it bothered me. He said, “I believed it was open”. He finally processed my refund. Sorry ,Best Buy. I did not feel right about this. I will not come back again. I did not do anything wrong. No customer would come back. Kam yan.

We wanted to get a $2500 TV with a price match on its own Best Buy website of $2200. The Senior Associate “S” in Home Theatre lied to us that she could do the price match. Once we ready to pay, she added up accessories and the protection plan that we didn’t want to our bill. I understand she wanted to sell to Protection Plan and accessory. But Instead of being honest and introduce everything, she added them to the bill without our consent when we ready to pay. We didn’t figure out the calculations right away and already took out our credit card. We know there’s tax on the $2200 TV so few more hundred dollars on top seemed making sense. After we really looked at the computer screen, we found out S added all costs to us and how unethical she tried to do the business. It’s is Best Buy, you don’t do business like this. Each staff represents the Company. Be honest to sell! She was angry and left the counter right after we caught her trick. Of course we didn’t get the TV and also wasted an hour of our time. FYI, my wife was the Operation Manager.

I brought in my laptop with a minor battery issue and was told they had to send it off to be fixed, estimated time was between 3 days and 2 weeks. It ended up taking the full 2 weeks, which was fine, but when my laptop was sent back to me, they did not return my charging cable. I called Geek Squad to report the problem and they said I would have to come to the store. It is over an hour away so I asked for the cable to be mailed, and gave a description. I received a cable three days later, but it was not the one I left with them and cannot charge my computer. I called back and was asked to leave my phone number as they asked their supervisor what to do, but I did not receive a phone call. It has been a week since then, almost a month since I originally brought in my computer, and I still do not have everything I gave to them to begin with. Additional attempts to phone have failed since they only answer the phone 1/3 times that I call, and I only have the number for the full store as the local Geek Squad number is not on their website.

This bestbuy has a relatively decent selection of every category but you won't find every model here. The staff are relatively friendly and helpful. They are mostly younger and are knowledgeable on the products as well as current trends. It's always nice to go in store and play with something before purchasing, as they have a lot of models on display. The prices here can also be great and they will price match which makes buying here preferable. You can buy products and take them home instead of ordering it online and having the stupid ups man leave the package somewhere in the bushes at 8pm while you wonder why it says your product has been delivered. Why didn't you ring the bell??? I digress, I prefer buying in person here when I need something immediately, I want to try it out first and because it is easier to return products for whatever reason...and you don't have to deal with ups.

Horrible service from the cellphone department. My wife wanted to purchase a new cellphone and saw that there were multiple units in stock for this particular store. When we arrived at the store, the mobile sales associates refused to sell us the phone because they were “saving them” for cellphone plan purchasers. The only reason I can fathom for this is that the sales associates are working on commission and they get more commission from a sale of a phone plan than they would from the sale from just a phone. After following up, corporate head office has confirmed that what happened to us is not right and they should have sold us the unit. Head office confirmed that there is a different stock for phone plans and a different stock for outright purchases. It appears that this particular location was “co-mingling” their stock. I would not return to this location.

Went to buy a phone, travelled all the way from Coquitlam. Turned out they didn't had the phone in stock, 4 devices because they never udpated their online stocks. The person helping me was amazing which is why 2 stars but the manager TJ was unaware of her own products: said I cant return a phone because I was given some "special discount". The special discount was their own price online, so it was their price match policy under which they honor the online prices in-store but she immediately formed an assumption and denied service. Had to explain to her, her own bestbuy's thing. Anyways, bestbuy's standard has definitely gone down. Their customer reps don't call u back, these guys lose refunds, their individual store phone lines have been down since COVID and half of otheir marketplace sellers are scammers. Terrible prepaid online pick up service. I ordered a monitor, pre-paid, but never picked up. Never got the refund. Called customer service twice, they ended up asking me to go to the store because they can't confirm that I didn't pick it up. Went to the store, their system didn't show that it's been picked up, but they also couldn't prove that it's not picked up, so after 3 months, I still didn't get my refund. I asked them to look at the security camera, to prove that I never went in to pick it up. They said they'll call me back the next day, I never got a call. I understand with the pendamic, they are using their new system, etc, etc, etc, but to not be able to prove that a product was never picked up? It's ridiculous. I have learned my lesson to never prepay, and I don't think I'll ever shop at best buy again.

Zero support! I bought a game from this store on 30 October and the cashier insisted that she can order the game online for me as it was out of stock. I agreed and paid $89 and got receipt. Tracking the shipping, I got to know that they claim it's delivered to me on 3rd Nov. It never reached my home so I called up the customer care, barely any help, they said they will refund. I waited for 10 days and tried again, the online customer care said that I should go to store, I reached store today and requested to see the manager, I was sent back by the Cashier today saying that the manager will call me on phone later and will investigate. I am wondering what kind of customer service is this and where all will I be running around to get my issue resolved ! Still awaiting the resolution of my problem.

Typical Best Buy experience. The department store met my expectations. It looks like they are in preparation for big sales for the coming Christmas season. It wasn’t as well organized as I am used to but it’s with good reason. I noticed a lot of crates and warehouse boxes in the show room with a lot of staff moving products and making four more shelf space. Overall a very good shopping experience. Are really enjoy the store layout. It almost feels like you’re walking into a new or more advanced modern world of technology. The products at Best Buy are geared more towards Consumer ‘s, not so much professionals but you can find a few gems here and there. The best part about Best Buy, from my experience is that they will price match Amazon prime prices.

Spent an hour there talking with their sales rep Brian who started off as very helpful. However went through entire event of finding the surface book I wanted, figuring out pricing and financing. Everything was ready to go for payment to find out I wasted my time because he realized they didn't have it in stock. They looked up another store and told me I could go there and tell them everything I had just done. Sorry I don't want to go start over this same adventure for another hour. Ended up walking out without a computer and did not go start over at another best buy. Lost my business. Seems like a pretty avoidable mistake. Especially since he was back and forth with his manager for pricing and looking for refurnished models.

The customer service here is terrible. I bought 4 Motorola radios and needed to return them because they no longer charge properly. It was after the 30 day return policy but within the 2 year warranty. The "Team Lead" was rude and unhelpful. She just kept repeating that it was after the 30 day return policy. I asked about the warranty and they told me that I had to contact Motorola directly. They gave me a phone number that did not connect to anyone. I asked about an exchange or a credit for a different product and they didn't offer me anything. I would think twice about their warranty before purchasing anything from Best Buy. They obviously don't care about selling quality products or standing behind their products.

I've had negative experiences at this store before, but today was just brutal. Stood by the item I was after (it was behind a case) for 10 minutes, no one came by. Went and talked to an employee in another section to help me, as there were none in the section I was in, he explained to me that he couldn't leave his section but he would radio someone to come over. This is probably a great time to share that not only was there no other custmers in either of the sections I had been to, but there was maybe 4 other customers in the entire store (employees greatly outnumbered us). I returned to the item I was after and waited another 5 minutes without being approached by an employee, left empty handed.

I purchased earbuds online. Before I picked it up I asked the associate the return policy. He said it's only an exchange with the same product once tried. However, the manufacturer offers a 30-day money back guarantee. So I told him I wanna return it now then I should purchase it from the manufacturer. Then he said I can return it to the manufacturer for a refund... I was right "what really? BestBuy makes money then the manufacturer needs to pay me back?" I searched it up and the answer was "No, I cannot send it back to the manufacturer if the product isn't from their own online store. I'll be returning this product. Not just coz I want the trial time. Just coz the guy lied to me.

It is a Best Buy. Always check for stock online before coming, Best Buys are not great with keeping in demand items in stock. Some notes: - This is the most pedestrian and cyclist unfriendly Best Buy location I have ever been to. It is on the second floor of this car-centric building in a relatively undeveloped area of Vancouver. - They rarely have enough staff to help you out. You need to be aggressive in asking for help. If a staff member says that they'll get help, it does not hurt to ask another rep at the same time. I have been ghosted twice in a row after asking for something that's not on the shelf. As a last resort, just walk up to the cashier and demand help.

Went to the Marine Drive location on Saturday to inquire about a phone for my business. It was not busy and there was only one customer at the mobile phones desk. There were 2 employees sitting behind the desk, and one was on his phone. I stood at the desk for about 10 mins and the two staff spoke to eachother, but didn't even acknowledge me. No eye contact, no greeting, not even a smile. My second time experiencing horrible service here. It seems that the employees are not interested in providing customer service. Or making it seem as if you're inconveniencing them by being in the store. It's too bad many haven't had a pleasant experience at this location.

We went in on December 22, 2021 and it was the best experience we ever had at BestBuy. We were looking for TVs and were confused between some. Marco stepped in and not only explained us the features on the ones we were interested in but also explained the differences and the technology behind. He helped us choose the right one as per our room size, ambient light and other requirements. Marco was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and patient with the queries. We are extremely happy with our purchase at BestBuy only because of the excellent service we got from Marco. In short, if you need to buy a TV, talk to Marco first!

Came here after the Metrotown location employee had smooth brains and told be to look up what inventory they had because he was too lazy to help me. This location at Marine Drive saved the day. I placed an order online, then went and picked it up. I arrived, felt a bit sketchy going up a weird parking lot at night to get to the entrance, but once I got in the team at the pickup counter and the Geek squad were super helpful with answering my questions and helped me bring my brew purchase outside to my car. If you want actual help, it’s worth coming to this location. Avoid the Station Square/Metrotown location.

I have been going to this store for last 4 years and never had any issues but recently I had an issue with price match policy with Assistant Manager- "Maurice" . He is so unprofessional and rude and not willing to help. I tried to do price match and he ask for stock availability on the competitor's website and I showed him. Then to get other excuse he was asking for a product number on the competitor's website. Well, it's best buy's job to check all this not the customer. Bestbuy match the prices many times for me with zero hassle but not the case with "Maurice". Management should look into this.

I have been scratching my head and tearing my hair out trying to solve a problem charging a new device that I bought elsewhere. The retailer was useless even though it was bought yesterday and never used, the manufacturer's website is down and all the so called experts I called didn't have a clue. Walked into Best Buy on Marine drive out of desperation with low expectations and was very pleasantly surprised. GIAN helped me out and was incredibly helpful, she not only solved the problem in 2 minutes flat but explained exactly what was causing it as well to avoid future issues. Super impressed!!!

Very poor customer service as well as manners from staff. Not only are they not helpful but they seem very unhappy with their lives. As we were exiting, the staff at the door flatly tells us to exit another door in a very cold manner. There is no "could you please exit through the other door" or "have a nice day". Yeah enjoy earning minimum wage and paying for that $2000/month studio apartment. I don't know if that actually encourages me to shop there. I mean the products are the same electronics but I didn't really find a whole variety at the store either.

I received excellent service from this store. When I was looking for specific TV model and size, what I've been told, it was out of stock. When Marco (Employee) came to me, he told me that they have one available and he digs the whole area found it for me. He made my day, such an enthusiastic person. He was a very active and very positive person. I think although he was at work for over 8 hours at the store, ( I went there in the morning and evening ) I saw his energy and ability to provide excellent customer service to everyone. Good luck

It took me awhile to get hold of someone to help me find a specific item which showed in stock in this location when I checked online. It wasn't busy and there were only a number of customers inside the store this evening. I noticed one staff who didn't looked very happy assisting someone but I ignored her as she was not personally assisting me but it would be nice to appear pleasant when dealing with customers. Anyhow, the lady who assisted me was very nice and apologetic that I had to wait a little bit which I didn't really mind at all.

We visited in store the other day and were helped by Julian and Eric who were fantastic. Very knowledgeable and thorough. We had a very specific need and they really took the time to help us. 5 stars for Julian and Eric! (We prefer to shop in the evenings so it wasn’t too busy, very easy to find someone to help you. Not sure if the service is different during the day.) On the other hand, our experience with the phone service has been truly terrible. It’s impossible to get through to a real person who can answer questions.

Poor customer service from Simi, she helped us with our transaction and tried to sell us $50 for 2 years warranty. Failed to use the correct words, we asked for clarification and her attitude was like she doesn't want to be there. She took a pause and her face reads judgement on us for not understanding her. No patience, not helpful. Got our email wrong, ended up not re entering one for our receipt. We wanted to check if our email was even entered, got a shoulder shrug and a smile saying "not my problem".

Was there Saturday on a black Friday weekend to get a mobile phone & plan. Only one staff in attendance, waited for a long time in queue, when asked if there is anyone else to help - this chap was rude and unhelpful. I only had pleasant experiences at other best buys. Fyi left & got my phone from a shop that provided excellent customer service in Oakridge Mall. Not going to step into this Best Buy anymore - thanks to the service received from the Mobile phone department.

I have been going to this Best Buy for years and have always asked for Von, one of the sales reps. I bought from him a fridge, TV, sound bar, Apple watch and ear buds throughout. He has always been very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with my purchases, answering all my questions. Von is the only person I go to if I need to purchase something and always get his advice. Thank you for always helping and will go to this store whenever he's working. Great service!

I have been to this store a couple of times to purchase a controller for my PS4. Abi happened to help me with finding what I wanted, and she was very helpful. I and friends were at the store yesterday, we took her time by asking too many questions about the price difference at Walmart for the same product that was at the store. She was composed and she was able to give us the proper explanation. She is an example of excellent customer service.

Visit on November 30 at 5:50pm The store was very clean and organized. I was returning the external hard drive. The female cashier was helping me. Service: the cashier was very friendly. If there was one area of improvement, the cashier was touching her nose and mouth a lot. Other than that, I’m happy that the cashier listened to me for a longtime and she was very positive. She engaged in a conversation with me, which was good.

Terrible service from cashier. Don’t buy anything from this west buy. They don’t care about anyone even about their products. My husband bought a machine which had warranty for one month. We came one day to return it, but they told us to bring credit card. When I went again one day with credit card they told me you are not able to return it. It is very unfair and I will suggest my fiends too don’t buy anything from here.

Best buy Marine Drive, I buy most all my electronics from here, as they have decent warranty just not as good as the source. Wheelchair accessible parking and entrance. Good customer service, they hire ppl with special needs,.comes to show their caring atmosphere as well reasonable prices. However I went in looking for an accounting compatible laptop, and they didn't meet the standards of my search. Overall satisfaction

Wouldn’t recommend buying extended coverage from Best Buy, or even from Best Buy at all? My extended warranty ended 22 days ago for headphones I purchased two years ago. Worked fine up until right after the warranty ended. I understand technology goes, but looking for a solution 22 days after warranty expires, not six months. Best Buy or Geek Squad couldn’t care less. Will look elsewhere to purchase my electronics.

I've had the joy of working at 2 locations metr town and brodway and cambie. Store is well organized everything is neatly labeled and priced. Staff are friendly knowledgeable. I occasionally go to shop there . Never had a bad experience. I find everyone is polite to deal with and do their best to help you in any way they can . I'll alwsys come back and recommend my family friends for all my everyday electronics

Worst customer experience ever! They only help the customers who are dressed nice, and we'll groomed. I went there after my work, still dressed in my work clothes, a bit dirty since I work in a warehouse... Not one of their 'associates' came up to me to offer help. It wasn't busy at the time and there were alot of them. I observed carefully and they only choose the ones who are dressed nicely. Don't come here.

I went in here just to look around. The store is full of colourful attractive displays with well-known corporate brand names, but that's just to hide the fact they don't actually stock a lot of merchandise. I didn't really feel inspired to buy anything, except the Dyson hairdryer looked interesting. But there was no price tag on it, which basically told me if I had to ask, I probably couldn't afford it.

You really need to ask the same things to multiple store associates until you find the one that can actually help. In my taste for an item that was no longer available on the shelf but the computer said there are four more in store. the first associate I asked told me it's probably a computer mistake after returning from the Warehouse empty handed. The second associate I asked found the item no problem.

Went in to purchase the Philips Air Fryer and asked to see both sizes. Rep said you looking for a Philips air dryer. No, air fryer I said. We were all standing in front of it, how could he mess that up. Asked him about both sizes and he had no clue about it. Went online with his phone to search....which I did at home before I went there. Decided not to buy from them, had no knowledge of the product

TJ at the website pick up department was amazing! I had an issue with my order not matching what was described (it was missing a container from the set). She went above and beyond to help me out. Rather then simply refund it and I would have to reorder the item again, she grabbed an extra container from another set. Her attitude was great and I am very satisfied with this experience.

Needed a new micro memory card for my phone so I headed to this Best Buy. It was just opening and was greeted by the manager who was quite friendly and chatted me up. Was asked by 3 to 4 sales people if I found what I wanted. When I went to pay the price was wrong. Cashier say sorry and changed it without even calling for price check. Store is clean and not busy. Shelves were full.

5 stars for Jakob at Marine drive location. He knows his customer's mind and what exactly they are looking for. We were there today for a Laptop, he gave us all the options, considering our requirements and didn't rush us but patiently explained everything. Also, like others, did not force us to buy right away, in fact suggested us to take some time to think. Great Job Jakob.

I purchased an open box, HP Specter yesterday but the department manager including the salesperson failed to find the stylus pen with it. Today, Prab being helpful did an awesome job finding not only the stylus pen but also the power cable included with the box. Considering his confidence and professionalism I believe he should be working at least as a supervisor.

Bad experience for the first time. Will be the last time going here. Came to pick up an online order for a game on sale at this Best Buy location, CSR claims that I've picked it up already and it's not in the system. That's weird, I've only visited just now. CSR claims manager is looking into it. Frustrating wait. Unprofessional customer service.

This is by far one of the "best" Best Buy locations in the lower mainland! Twice we had a wonderful experience with Kavita! Best Buy needs to promote her as she is a wonderful and fair employee with great customer service. Other staff are actually friendly and helpful! We will continue to shop at this location for these reasons!

This is a good location with very helpful and polite, patience people. Anyone having a bad experience here doesn't have much good going for them in life or carry around a chip on their shoulders. Best Buy offers exceptional computer services and products. Whenever my electronics go on the blitz I can depend on the service specialist to iron out the issues as I have purchased the monthly subscription. On another note, I did like the older service protection plan as you definitely got more for your buck.

I like how this BestBuy is close to home. This makes things easier for me if I need to buy some media storage devices or other electronics. Not to busy at times but have a good assortment of items available. The staff are friendly and on point. Overall, I had a good experience at this store.

Bought a charger that was advertised in several displays as $17.99 sale price from regular price of $19.99. Was charged $24.99 at the register. Staff insisted the item cost $24.99 online and acted like they were doing me a huge favour in reducing the price to the advertised amount.

Despite being a fairly large store they have very little selection. Looked at an item that was on sale in the flyer, but the shelf price was listed at the regular price. How does anyone know that things are on sale while shopping in person is a mystery to me. Access is on the roof.

Waited around for at least 20 mins for someone to even acknowledge me. I knew what I wanted already but needed the tablet out of a locked cabinet. The best service was from the cashier (who was very polite and nice). Not great customer service, you can do better as a larger store.

Unprofessional emplyees, they need to have proper training. Not a bunch of non-tech people just stand there and tell pp about common stuff that everyone know and cannot handle situation well. Best buy has been gone down fast, Vision.ca has much better customer service

Of all the Best Buy locations availble in the lower mainland, I prefer to shop here. They have a good amount of free parking, and the staff are efficient. My interaction was with Marco, he was very personable and professional. The store itself is well stocked.

Empty store with poor selection and in addition either they've stopped matching prices or staff is untrained. So when I've asked them to match price of sd card with Amazon they wasted a few minutes just to say that won't match Amazon prime item.
