I came here with a trade in that I couldn't restore to factory setting on my own. I figured Geek Squad or an employee could help me, since I'm spending $1000 today. I figured wrong! The guy at Geek Squad said that, although I'm spending so much with them today, it's a “service” and I'd have to “subscribe” to receive assistance. The employees at the trade in center also sent me away, suggesting I watch a YouTube video to do it myself. After a lot of struggling, I finally successfully restored it. FROM THERE I took it back to the trade in counter. I had gotten some tiny detail wrong when I did the trade in online. Because of that, I was going to get less on my trade in value-which was fine. Here is where it gets really good. I was told that, because I added a small incorrect detail, they couldn't process my trade in that day. I couldn't simply pay the difference. I'd have to go home, cancel the order, wait 3 to 5 days for my funds to be returned, then process a new trade in to get my laptop. I told them I write for a living an need a laptop to which I received a literal shrug. I then called their store customer service, who repeated the same thing to me many different ways. No apology, no assistance. Upon getting home and canceling the order, I realized I'd also lose $80 in additional fees that won't be refunded. For getting a tiny detail wrong when beginning my trade in online, I'm without a laptop for up to 5 days, and out $80. What is the purpose of a physical store if you don't help people with the products? Most destructive retail experience of my life. Unfathomably poor service.

This was my first time visiting this Best Buy location. There was remodeling construction taking place and the parking was limited. That being said - business happens. I went to purchase an Apple Watch and Air Pods. Although the website indicated only one left of the watch I was looking for and zero stock of the Air Pods, they were both in stock! I waited a few minutes to be assisted but was greeted very professionally and welcoming. Tyson was the Sales Associate that worked with me. Tyson had excellent communication skills and knowledge of his job. He was very efficient and complete at explaining the process and options available. He made time for insightful small talk yet was still able to be considerate for another customer's time while completing my purchase and processed their single item transaction simultaneously. Thank you for the excellent customer service and support today! Although there is another Best Buy closer to my house, I recommend this location based on my overall experience and satisfaction with my visit. I will make a special trip later in October to purchase a PS5 video game just to see how it looks after the remodeling is complete...

My wife and I were shopping for a new washer/dryer. Did some research beforehand. We were sold on Lowes first, but unfortunately and fortunately had to switch things up. Saw a great deal just down the road at Best Buy for an LG on a slightly higher model and slightly less than the 2nd option at Lowes. We had another issue with the LG model/color being unavailable and had to settle for a Samsung at an equal model/price. Which we're extremely happy with and honestly couldn't have done it without the help of Gabriel W in appliances. The gentleman was attentive and did a great job finding exactly what we needed at the price points my wife and I agreed upon. Needed to be front loaded, needed to have a gas dryer, needed to be under $2k and did not want it in white. Thank you Gabe W.

Rosa, the Manager of this Geek Squad is extremely unprofessional. I had a 3:40 appointment but was told that Rosa was the only one that could help me. When they called her over she threw her head and arms down in disgust and said "well he is going to have to wait for 30 minutes, im busy". After waiting for a while I got upset and asked for the corporate number as I was told there was no one in the store higher than her. As I was on the phone with the corporate number explaining my situation, Rosa started arguing with me about what happened. At one point she even said "Don't talk about me if you don't know me". I can not believe that I was treated with this amount of unprofessionalism. AVOID AT ALL COST

This Best Buy is not the best.. I was sold a monitor that was dropped so the screen was no good. I went in to return it and the cashier SUE, was not a nice individual . Stay clear of her she is not helpful at all and she says no more than anything. Her customer service is severely lacking. Everyone is else is super helpful, especially the supervisor Steven. He is exceptional! SUE needs some extensive training on accommodating customer to the her greatest ability. I will continue to share my experience. She is literally hurting business and because she was giving me such a hard time , 2 other individuals walked out. If she was ever offered a leadership role , it would be a huge mistake.

Terrible customer service. I wish i could give this 0 stars. I ordered a 3060 GIGABYTE GPU from Mission Center BestBuy, then received an open-box, taped up, nvidia quadro p4000. This thing was so small, it didnt even fit in the foam-casing that came with the box!! They said they cannot take anything "Computer-related" or "graphics cards especially", and told me to call corporate, although corporate was nice enough, the employees at mission center road are not. I now have to wait 10-12 business days for a refund, and i am now delayed for my school. STAND CLEAR OF THIS BESTBUY ESPECIALLY!!!!!!!

Came here to return something that I recently purchased but lost the receipt to. Fortunately for me one of the managers Rosa went above and beyond to successfully help me. Keep in mind that when I did this with the chula vista location I was nothing but patient and apologetic even though the Manager there gave me a nasty attitude. I’d say that this best buy is definitely worth the extra drive if you have a best buy closer to you. Great customer service skills. Only thing I think they could improve on is organization and labeling prices as theres many items I had to seek a price check for.

Pick up orders here are a nightmare. I previously waited several hours only to be told an item was out of stock so I couldn’t pick it up. Today I’m experiencing similar. Wait over 2 hours going on 3 to get a notification to pick up one item. Also, they don’t have a working phone number to the direct store to help customers, I will literally have to drive to Best Buy to find out when I can get the item I already paid over $300 for. They will take your money but they will not actually help you if you’re having problems with your order. Not a good sign.

The reason for my rating is because the workers there were certainly friendly and they always came to my assistance before I even called them or anything and I really highly appreciate that, and most of all they had all the answers and if they weren't sure they would go an extra mile to get you answers one way or another, in other words they didn't just up in leave you and they always came back never left you waiting for nothing!!! The El Cajon Best buy has the best staff amongst all the Best Buys I have been through. Finally a Best Buy with folks who are knowledgeable in their respective departments and aren't afraid to give you the best advice for what you are looking for. Originally made a purchase from the Best Buy store in Mission Valley. The salesman was Steve Vlismas every time I seemed to always work with him. So I have to say I have to commend him because he's always been very very helpful and very knowledgeable on making sure I get the right product that I need for my home. I've been going to this best buy for 20 years. During Best Buys hayday it was like entering the future of technology and you trusted the blue shirts to know what they were talking about. A geek's job, as it were. Now you go in and none of the staff have any idea about the products that are in the store. The store is never stocked. It's just a shell of what it used to be and I'm sorry to see it.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Ordered online for “within the hour pickup” and two hours later arrived at store. Know they are busy so politely tried to get the item myself and was met with attitude and a promise to get it to me in five minutes. 30 minutes and counting… should have ordered for home delivery from Amazon. Would blame the holidays but typical customer service from this store.

Probably the nicest best buy I have been to in San Diego. They actually have cashiers and checkout lines unlike mira mesa. The place is very organized and full of inventory. I especially liked that they had a completely different area dedicated for pickup, made the experience very quick. They are currently doing construction so parking was a bit tight.

On 4th of July I had the best shopping and customer service experience in my life on this store. All people and management are great and you can feel the difference from other branches. Undergoing renovations, so disorganized. I asked an employee about smart watches and was sent to a section that just has garmin watches. I asked another employee about Pixel Watch and he led me back to a locker at the front entrance that I walked right by entering the store. Employees were nice though. No military discount though.

I saw an add for a cheap HP laptop for $299. Web site said 4 in stock. When I got there there was no inventory, but I could order it for $499. It smelled like bait and switch, but my PC had crashed and I needed one so I bought it. The staff aren't particularly knowledgeable, but they did help me find what I was looking for.

Wanted to give a 5 star review after my experience with Angelo today. I came in looking for a magnet or magnetic case to put on my phone so I could attach it to my car AC mount. I have never left a Google review but Manny at this location saved me a ton of time and a headache by just looking up my phone number on an old purchase still under warranty. Just going that extra step helped me save money and leave with a better product in place of one that had stopped working.

As of August 17 2023, they were still under construction, but customers were able to walk into a few available isles and limited cashiers. Pick up was easy, walk in, show your ID, and receive your purchase. Curbside parking was still available, and due to construction, parking is limited.

I purchase a new LAP TOP only to find out the brand new laptop didn’t work and had internal problems! They sent to get it fix but it’s been a a month! I need a laptop. There must be a lot of fake reviews because I’m sure there are a lot things that they sell that are defects.

Went to Best Buy for Black Friday with a friend. Immediately found parking. She was looking for a new bedroom tv. We saw 2 of the 100's of TV's waiting to be purchased. She made her decision and we were back in the car with a 50" Samsung within 15 min. Great trip.

I have visited this best buy multiple times and have always had great customer service. They are fully stoked and have pick up and in store displays of most all the gadgets you are looking for. I like this place because it’s also easy access from the freeway.

I ordered items online for pickup and the online process was just fine. Arriving at the store they were quite disorganized and didn’t have enough employees working the pickup area so the line moved slowly. They really need to do a better
