I wish I could give Bestbuy a 0/5. This isn't a review of the services in the store, but a review of the installation of our fridge, washer, and dryer It seems like Bestbuy reaches out to contractors to deliver/install their appliances. Long story short, the installation technician that came to install our washer/dryer improperly installed the draining hose for the washer. There was a red cap on it that said DO NOT USE, but the technician opened it and installed the drain hose into the wrong pipe. I only know this because I spoke with the company that installed the pipes after running the washer for the 1st time and seeing the water drain into my walls/floors into my living room downstairs. Another issue lies with the customer service team, GeekSquad. I understand that each company has issues with working remotely this year, but I've been hung up multiple times during "transfers" and had to speak to over 10 representatives and spent over 4-5 hours trying to file a claim. I finally got in contact with a manager, who assured me that a claim was written, but found out that next day that no claim existed when I called back. The problem is, Bestbuy's customer service team do NOT give out callback phone numbers NOR do they give out last names, so it is literally impossible to speak to the same person who was actually helping you. I had to reach out to my insurance company who provided assistance in getting a water remediation company out to our house to rip apart the drywall/flooring to dry it out. Then we got in contact with a restoration company to make repairs. I ended up paying for the deductible out of pocket with my insurance company while they themselves are now attempting to reach out to Bestbuy and their horrid customer service team for assistance in filing a damn claim. I personally will never shop at Bestbuy again due to their horrible "Customer Service" system and lack of care when it comes to finding proper installation techs who can properly install a washer/dryer. I hope that you'll think twice before buying appliances from them. Go Lowes or Home Depot.
Super disappointed with customer service at this location and it’s warranted I leave a word of warning about my experience. Bought a remote car kit back on Black Friday and was scheduled for the install a month later. The day of that appointment they called to let me know the installer called out and they would have to reschedule… I said okay and they indicated the next available date would be 2/25 or I could go all the way to Salem during the middle of the week. I asked why they couldn’t see me sooner as I had bought my product in November and they are canceling on me and I was told by the car tech that “you just go to the end of the line when we cancel your appointment” he then says “I can probably can fit you in between appointments another day but I’m not going to guarantee a full install”. I asked for a phone number I could call and the tech said I could reach his manager at it. When I called it put me to a customer service line - not his manager - and they told me they can’t help either and they don’t know why I was given this number - the manager appears to be unreachable. Flash forward to today the (the reschedule date) and I am told my appointment is again canceled and again I am going to the back of the line - the next available date is in April and they won’t work with me again. I get weather conditions are impactful but there is definitely a lack of coordination and willingness to help at this location for this service and product and scheduling issues on their end impact and the customer. They won’t even give me the product I bought to take somewhere else to have it installed which is also insane. I take responsibility for my fault - buying from this Best Buy and getting strung along, but I’ll be seeking a refund at this point. 5 months is to long to wait for a high chance the appointment will be canceled and rescheduled again.
Trust me, this is the store to shop. They make you feel safe in a city that is amazing, always evolving, but sometimes can be a sight for sore eyes. They have a store full of items that are “in demand” by you, and by, everyone. Some can afford it, some can’t. I’ve never worked there but I imagine theft is an issue, at times. But this Best Buy has figured it out. You still feel like a valued consumer, and you feel safe. Not like Walmart, when they were here… you felt like a prisoner, scared for your life, as there guns gave me the impression I was constantly under threat. But the best part is…. Even though they have people possibly trying to steal from them, at times… They treat you with compassion. Even if you look almost like a guy who might think about stealing. Even though, I don’t. Anyway… They’ve cracked the code. And that’s why this Best Buy gets my ❤️ and my . Major props to the security guy working right now, the store manager (the way she calls the shots…makes her seem like the manager at least) And the #1 customer service + smiles superstar of the year, if not the decade…. Sean
Placing an online order thru this store was unnecessarily painful and difficult. They cancelled my order for seemingly no reason, and after calling the store and waiting through 20 minutes of forced “happy” music just for them to tell me they could not help me and to order my item again. At this point I longed to spend my $800 on an expensive item elsewhere, but unfortunately it was an immediate business need and best buy had it in stock. So I said screw it on the online ordering and went to the store to get it myself. My god was the display shelf a mess. There was no model out for me to see the camera I wanted, and the glass shelving displayed nothing but a couple of lopsided cameras, no price tags to be found. The only thing that saved this trip and this review from 1 stars is this lovely employee named Tyler. He was so helpful and had a pleasant demeanor, he even let me check out in the back as to skip the extremely long front of store line that I had originally wished to avoid by placing an online order. You’re too good for this place Tyler.
Honestly some really poor service. Don't waste your time at this run down store if you can help it. Go to Cascade Station. I came in during a slower time to place a larger appliances order. Walked around for about 10 minutes and couldn't find an employee in sight. Eventually walked up to the front desk to ask if there was any employees who could help set up a delivery order and apparently there was only 1 employee who could actually help with that. After waiting for another 20~ minutes I realized they have this only employee who can set up the appliance orders loading multiple different purchases into customers cars including TVs. Why they couldn't use warehouse employees or any other free employee for this so they could free up this apparently sole employee who could process a delivery order and sell $6k in appliances is beyond me. Should have saved thetime and gas and just ordered from online in the first place. So much for trying to support the stores locally
To Update Review: They did follow through and give me a new refrigerator and a new warranty at a reasonable price although I had to drive to the store and talk to a manager which is about a 1 hour drive for me. But everything worked out so I am going from 1 Star to 5. I purchased a house full of appliances from this store in Jantzen Beach Portland Oregon in 2021 (new house). All appliances very expensive and I purchased the extended repair warrantee on all appliances, and I was assured that if something broke it would be fixed in a timely manner. My refrigerator is not working, I tried to call yesterday and was told it was too late, so I called today and was told that there is no schedule for repair, and someone would call me within 24 hours to schedule a repair which could be scheduled for a month or so away. I asked for a manager, and of course none was available. This is HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE SERVICE. Too bad you can't rate Minus 100.
The manager Marissa a racist and probably the most uniformed person in the entire store. I don’t see how people like her become managers. She automatically assumes that any of her coworkers that is servicing an African American is scared. I was sitting there with one of her coworkers who was doing a great job servicing me. Then over comes Marissa. Her coworker says “I didn’t call you over”. Marissa says “oh you looked scared”. On top of that, she gives inaccurate information making loyal buying customers problems even more complicated. You would think she would try her best to keep customers satisfied who spends thousands of dollars at her store. Managers like her are bad for business. I’m so thankful that Jacob was there because he helped solve all of our problems which was the total opposite of what Marissa said needed and could be done. Marissa doesn’t have an ounce of courtesy in her bones.
Purchased total tech said it was going to extend warranty 2 years. Absolutely worthless. LG Refrigerator which was purchased from them was supposed to come with a spanner wrench to adjust the doors. Delivery tech from Best Buy never left the wrench. Had no idea it was supposed to come with it till a year and half later and I need to adjust the doors and level of the refrigerator. Spoke with Jarvis in Oklahoma. He provided absolute terrible customer service. After being extremely frustrated I called LG and in 5 minutes he had ordered the wrench for me and sent it free of charge. Thanks LG. Bad on you best buy for selling a top level support membership then want to charge a $100 to come out and won't even send the wrench. Don't buy total tech save your money and headaches.
I went to this location to buy a new laptop about six months ago. Throughout the whole experience the employee I spoke to was rude and condescending to me because I did not want to finance my computer, I had the money to pay in full. He repeatedly harassed my partner and I about this after I clearly said no, which made me extremely uncomfortable. The laptop he sold me is already having issues a few months later to the point that I can barely use it for an hour before the mouse completely stops working and I have to shut my computer off. I walked in and spent over $900 in cash on a computer only to be talked down to by an employee because I didn’t want to pay twice as much by getting store credit. I will never be returning to this establishment to buy anything.
Best Buy continues to knock it out of the Park. Always friendly and informative customer service. You can ask a ton of questions and never feel rushed. If they can’t answer a question they will find someone in the store who will. Personal service. Once you have made contact with someone they stay will you until your ready to purchase or no longer need them. Competitive pricing. Found it cheaper on Online? Show them. They will Price match. My advise. Buy the protection plans that are offered here with your purchase. It’s flawless if there is a problem. You simply get a new devise. Going through the manufacture is a pain. Going to Best Buy takes the oh no’s if something isn’t working right out of the equation.
I am disabled so I ordered a PS5 and a game online, which went really smoothly. The trouble started when I sent my wife to pick it up. They called me to verify that she was picking it up, although she knew the order details ahead of time. They even wanted to charge me a second time to release the system. Has anyone ever heard of that? The transaction was fully paid. They wanted to charge an additional 500$ to my card. I refused to let them double charge me, even if it was some store policy. Seems like shady business practices to me. Subsequently, I opted to cancel the entire transaction. They even had the audacity to ask my wife if I still wanted the game! What a joke/ embarrassment.
Purchased more than a thousand dollars of PC components that were in stock for in store pickup. Best Buy waited for 8 days to send me an email casually informing me there was a delay. After calling and much digging I discovered they oversold the motherboard I ordered and paid for and that it would be another 2 weeks(at least) to arrive at the store. Would not recommend purchasing from them online their in store pickup and order system is trash and they do not communicate order status. If I had gotten a notification in a timely fashion that would be one thing but to wait 8 days only to have to call and do my own detective work to find out the status of my order is garbage.
Went with my son so he could get a couple of things for his computer. One of the associates can't remember his name. Dude was so cool. He's a Very good salesman. And could talk almost anyone into anything from this store. Good thing I don't have my business going I would poach him away. The next salesman another young man was extremely helpful. He knew his stuff. It was less than 10 minutes until closing. That didn't stop him from really giving good information on RAM, hard drive, and power supply. I really liked this salesperson. Overall this store is clean and organized. Thanks Bestbuy. Sv Rhiannon ❤️ ☮️ ~☠️
Waited 1.5 hours, after being quoted 30-45 mins by the tech, even after joining the queue and being the only one in there, for assistance trying to buy an iPhone, paying full price, while the only tech on site spent time discussing the weather with the the person in front of us. He was in no hurry at all and acted like we weren’t standing there while he was unable to multitask at all. Updated review: Another staff member, very nice younger gentleman came over to assist us and was super helpful. Happy to be leaving the store with the iPhone I came for, even though it took quite a bit longer than I would have imagined.
They basically tried to muscle me to purchase their credit card by declining my own debit card at the POS terminal. I had more than enough money in my account. I had intended to purchase two video cameras. I could only purchase one. In retrospect, when I began to suspect that the transaction was being manipulated by someone else in the store, someone the sales associate was speaking to through her earpiece, I should have declined on purchasing the item. However, I needed it. I needed two, actually. I have since ordered another video camera online. I will never set foot in that brick and mortar establishment again.
It’s a nice store to visit but prices are astronomical and customer service is some of the worst I’ve ever experienced. I tried to call ahead of time to check the availability of an item and waited more than 20 minutes with no answer. Drove nearly an hour to the actual store just to stand around for almost 30 minutes before getting frustrated and leaving. Not a single employee came by to offer assistance with a locked item and anyone I stopped was just too busy to help. I guess selling a piece of equipment for nearly $600 is just not high on the priority of this store or its employees.
This review is for the auto bay . The folks that work back there are nice enough so 1 star feels bad, but they provide poor service. I bought a 400$ radio for my car there and had it installed thru them. Worked great for a while but started malfunctioning and eventually the CarPlay didn’t work at all. I tried troubleshooting but eventually brought it in - ended up having three different appointments trying to get this sorted and they weren’t able to fix whatever it was that went wrong. They suggested a buy a new radio less than 2 years after buying this one. Super disappointing
Tried to purchase a fridge, but the store personnel said that I was not allowed to use an suv to pick it up, despite the fact that I had a roof rack rated for over 150lbs more than the fridge weighed and multiple ratchet straps. Since I don't own a truck and didn't want to pay the $80 delivery fee they were trying to force me into, I canceled the order. They still charged my card, and I've been fighting for over 3 months to get the charges canceled. I keep receiving calls to make payments but haven't been contacted once regarding the charge dispute. Horrible customer service!
The person helping me gave me 2 items that were "c to c" charging cord and charging battery. I told him I had an " Android phone". I wanted to charge the phone in the car which needs a USB, noticed that right away so when an exchange for a USB cable plus a US C. When I got home to charge the battery charger pack, it was USC to USC again. Luckily I was able to use my small USB charging cable to plug it in to the wall outlet so that I could charge this battery. Moral of the story check the ins of what it says for the charging cables and don't have Tyler help you.
Will not be shopping at this location ever again. The white blond manager is rude and has zero customer service skills. Due to a mistake on scanning on their end they wanted to charge us a second time for a PS5 and make us wait a few days for the credit to come back to our bank account. My husband has been saving for months for this system and we don’t have enough to cover 2 purchases. Seems sketch and poor business practice. They messed up and wanted to over charge. We returned the system and we will buy it elsewhere.
Went in looking for an Arlo Flood light but the guy that helped me gave me the wrong charging cord the cord they sold me is for the Spotlight I believe. They only do returns or exchanges for the first 14day with a receipt. The guy that helped me was very nice I believe he was pretty new an d he did try to find someone more knowledgeable. Otherwise this would have been a 3 Stars. I've never had to return anything there so I would say that's a plus. But disappointed in the return policy.
I was going to rate Best Buy a 1 star and rant after my experience of spending over $6,000 dollars and everything getting mixed up with dates and product of delivery. But after talking to some managers and having Scott (guy who works in the car install) going above and beyond I’m happy to change that to a 5. I understand miscommunication happens and people make mistakes but I’m happy Best Buy understood what was going on was able to fix it. Thank you
Was told over the phone that they could replace my iPhone screen in 2 hours. I live 45 min away and came here instead of apple for the sole reason of the quick turnaround. I’m here and now they say they can’t have it done until the following day. I can’t even come back the following day because I work during the time they are open. My touch screen is completely unusable. Beyond frustrated. It’s hard for me not to let my inner ‘Karen’ unleash. SO FRUSTRATED!
Double D has really bad customer service. He treated us really badly. They didn't even let us use the camera that it wasn't in display, his answer was: are you gonna buy it or no? I told him I don't know I can't even turn it off? And other random stuff since the first time we said hi! I'm not sure if because we are latino? We really felt the bad vibes since the very beginning
My cashier was Tommy Frias. He was awesome. The whole team there was awesome. I was greeted when I came in, told them what I was looking for, and they had somebody waiting for me at the spot with the item. It was like a SWAT team of efficiency. Probably doesn't hurt that they closed in 5 minutes - I'm sure they were ready to go, as was I. In and out in like 2 minutes. :)
Management here is incredibly unhelpful and rude, Best Buy will tell you one thing when you call then say they can't do it when you drive from another state to have said thing done. According their management it's because their phone number leads to a call center which will tell you one thing to make you happy and let you spend an hour driving back and forth.
Came in for a gaming computer mouse, they don't have as many choices they have had in the past, I was looking for a specific brand that they no longer carry in-store and I needed the mouse right away so ording it was out of the question, settled with a really nice one they had to offer, still love this store, love just looking around most times.
I visited the cell phone section of the store. It is a good place to shop if you know exactly what you want. It was hard to get any help in that department but when I did help, they didn't push me into buying the cells which was good. The salesman even offered me some good tips on how to get the lowest price! I ended up buying 2 cells that day.
After spending hours calling and visiting places to get a broken android screen repaired..spent a couple hours in traffic to go two exits after making appointment via phone..only to arrive to be told they don't actually fix exactly what they incorrectly stated they could. Very disappointing experience. What happend to truth in advertising?
This is an awesome Best Buy location. I ordered something online in the morning and by the afternoon/evening, my TV and order was ready for pick up. The guys at the store pick up location were all fantastic. Francisco and the other two guys that were there made the entire experience so much better. Would highly recommend this location.
I don't often buy from Best Buy anymore and after the poor level od customer service today, I'm going to continue to go elsewhere. The associate didn't listen to the features I needed, brought me several products that did not have the requested features, and then concluded they didn't have anything in store. Big waste of time.
Spent 6 grand there this year on appliances. They sold me a dented fridge then gave me a used door off the floor display and called it good as new. Ricky the assistant manager or sales manager has zero knowledge of customer service. Rather call portland police then make it right. How you sleep at night is beyond me
I bought 2 protection plans from the employees. When I went back in to use it they said I never bought it. Beware of the young flunkies here. I spent $700 on products and they wouldn't even help me. I even tried to get it repaired at their geek squad store only to be told they don't repair their own products!
Was pointed in the general direction to where withe phones were but after that no one was around to help find them. I had to search for someone to direct me to where exactly they were. Then, I had to find a person once again to ask questions about the phones Very poor customer service
We're trying to replace our built in microwave and we went in with a bunch if questions. Sales associate DD was super helpful teaching us about microwave trims and how to find the right one to replace our current one. Will come back for our appliance needs.
Great Geek Squad service so far! The Geek in service took enough time to explain but too much. Also enlightening conversations with other department staff. I’m in the young-old category and they behaved like they didn’t notice. Ageism-free visit today. <3
The store itself is great. The security guard you had there is not. He was rude when I asked him a question. It was not even a “Best Buy” question. Rude and condescending. I’ll take my business to elsewhere that does not employ that security company.
I bought a coffee grinder at Best Buy. It was a bit more expensive that I thought was fair, but unfortunately wasn't able to locate a less expensive one in stock. It is a gift so that worked fine. I hope the recipient will be pleased with my choice.
I know this place is just another corporate box store. But they do seem to have pleasant employees, which is a good sign that they're treated well. I've shopped here for decades. Their return policy is a big part of why I always buy here. I
If it has a chip in it seems these guys sell it! Also seems like all salespeople can answer any questions. Very friendly and patient if say just looking,no pressure or rudeness. Drove friend who needed lift, will return to buy my things
Best buy has a lot of electronics from TVs to Vacuum cleaners and everything in between. The store is somewhat hard to navigate and finding someone that works there isn't always easy. Do far our sound bar is working great!
Careful with online orders if you are looking for timely delivery. They will take your order….notify you that your order is delayed…and then tell you that there is no way to change or cancel your order once it is placed.
Love the Best Buy overall but the Lynwood staff don’t know what customer care is and the reason is the manager of the store. This person has an ego of Mount Everest and don’t care about the customers and their need.
Nick in the Geek Squad was awesome in helping me with multiple Apple Mac and Android phones, and my new HP Pavilion. Much help from other sales and service people on the day after Christmas. Best Buy rocks!
Jake in Geek Squad was great. He helped me order all the components of my next computer. He also found ways to get a better system and cheaper price. Also had some good sales. I picked up a PS5 controller.
This is one of those stores that make you root for Amazon to put out of business. The staff are mentally vacant and checked out, they don’t even know what they offer. I’ve just given up with this place.
I bought some jbl headphones and when I opened the box there were no headphones. When I went to the store to return them they said they couldn’t do anything about it. Now I’m gonna shop online instead.
Terrible service. Blue shirts talking to other people, getting sent from one cashier to another while other people are getting helped ahead of me despite waiting longer than everybody.
Bought a new computer, monitor, and headphones - Thank you Jordyn at the Apple Store for helping us price compare. Liam you did great with our financing and geek squad questions
Not being very tech savvy, Brent really helped me understand how to add more storage to my phone. He spoke in terms I could understand. Oh, and great deals on some DVD's!
The young man who helped me. Then he down loaded photos to from my phone to my new thumb drive. He was awesome great with people he was in young in his 30 s clean cut
Best Buy seems to always be switching up how they do things. So when you walk in, don’t assume that the checkout is in the same place as the last time you were there
Quick trip to get a new iPad. They were a bit busy, but a blue shirt got to me fairly quickly and the Apple rep was great at showing me available accessories.
Customer service and This store is amazing. Devon on the sales floor help me look for a TV and Francisco who help put my TV in my car. I recommend this store
This is a Best Buy. Not a particularly nice one. It's out of date and I suspect needs a therapist. It's very sad, and not living up to its potential.
Friendly staff. Good selection of devices. Don't appreciate being followed around by loss prevention, but I did my best not to take it personal..
I need to get a copy of the receipt from 3 months ago for a warranty never super helpful and knowledgeable in their job and got me the receipt
Thank you best buy for being one of the few remaining oppositions to Amazon. Any time a brick and mortar is still keeping up, I'm on board.
Very clean, and I had the most helpful sales associate who was honest, patient, and so kind. I will be coming back to this location again!
I do not remember the guy's name that was talking with us about washers & dryers ,but he was wonderful and we will be back because of him.
Being from San Antonio, I never thought I'd leave a good review for best buy but I can't find any reason to complain about this location.
Ordered online and picked up curbside. Waited less than 3 minutes for them to come out with my order. Very friendly staff.
No audio recording devices. Amazon and Walmart beat their pricing by a lot. They will be outta biz soon I bet.
Decent best buy, but I feel like stock is limited in a lot of items, especially PC's and PC parts.
Always a great experience here! Lots of parking. Great selection of products. Helpful staff.
I love best buy. But you can tell these damn dirty hippies are stealing the good stuff
Busy but very organized. Love the online pickup system. Excellent experience.
I've always enjoyed coming here for years. Best customer service ever!
I've been shopping here for years, always get good customer service.
Easy pick up great customer service.
