My God what a good service I got from the 5th till the 8th of January 2022 From labour ward thank you guys so much nurse pretty I remember her because she was the one who was helping me we need more nurses like you later on I went next door to the induction ward still when I got I great nurse's on the 5th night stuff ..On the 6th in the morning my baby's heart was not doing so well and the explained that I might go for c section the doctor came in and confirmed such a sweet man young black doctor booked me for an emergency c section went to theatre and delivered my son after I wake up they showed me my son and there was an Indian doctor Who works with injection awesome doctor thank you sir told me he's going to ICU went to postnatal ward I still remember nurse those two nurses talking Venda the one with dreadlocks speaking Zulu and others I forgot them ....but I got the best care from LABOUR, INDUCTION, THEATRE AND PASTNATAL .the food the best sheets are clean and the hospital is clean never lacked pads toilet paper and nappies keep the good work guys
My wife was admitted to this hospital for surgery after being transferred from Bara, firstly I was amazed how clean the hospital was, the staff there was very welcoming and helpful, very professional as well. It was impressive that this is a kind of great service we got from a hospital in Soweto, when patients are sick or in need of medical attention, the last thing they need is being given a run around by the hospital staff, like the other BIG hospital in Diepkloof. I truly like to say to the staff at Zola Jabulani Hospital, you guys are great, you are a yardstick of what a public hospital should be like, your service is classy and professional, your cleanliness and your food, I was amazed that you even ask the patients what they would like to eat! And your staff is well trained, you can tell they have people skills. Thank you for the good work you are doing in our communities, continue to strive to be the great hospital in Soweto, your work is noticed. Thank you to the management as well that ensures the South African health standard is upheld.
I have a brother admitted at Bheki Mlangeni hospital in Jabulani bolani road. He was admitted last Saturday 2022/9/17 he was at medical ward b for the whole week couldn't see him till today 2022/9/24. His been moved to another ward so I asked him how is he n what a shock he told me that the treatment from the nurses is terrible they swear at him telling him it's not their fault his hospitalised. What kind of nurses are hired because clearly they don't have what it's takes to be a nurses. Please management must do something about this before it's to late & hospital get sued for maltreatment of their patients.. I'm very disappointed. How many times do they change the sheets. On Friday I even requested to have a clean sheet BCS his been sleeping in a stained sheet for past two weeks. To my surprise the following day he said they told him his not special hospital is not a hotel and ask him to clean after he vomited. Really if things are not investigated that hospital will be sued so I'm pleading with management to review their staff.
Very very poor service, some of the workers really love their work and good with patients but some are very rude and unfriendly. I was admitted on the 24th as i was post dated and was waiting to be induced ,I was induced on the 28th and again on the 30th June 2021where j was then transferred to Bara in the early hours of Thursday the 1st July 2021 where j waa not even told that I will be transferred jutmst being putted two drips on both my hands and a catheter. The nurses will ignore the pregnant patients up until they will attend you when they see that you know habmve go be placed for emergency ceasar which is something that they seem to really love CEASAREAN because they know that they benefit from it not thinking about the lives of the mothers and their unborn kids. I really don't wish to go through what I had really went though as j stillbthank God that it was through Hi mm that we have survived in that ward and wouldn't want anyone to go through it.I think the officials in have to inspect these hospital.
Everyone has the right to a healthy and safe environment that will ensure their physical and mental health or well-being. Everyone who is a patient within the hospital needs to be treated with respect and care what happened to humanity? Nurses within this hospital don't care about the patients who are sick and who are pregnant and have emergencies, All humans and deserve care in the hospital not to be treated like dogs, even a dog you don't treat them the way the nurses treat the perople who are sick, what is our government saying about the complaints of our community. The only time we as a community we can be taken serious is when we take videos and post them on social media. Then there will be action.. If you have been treated badly or something bad is happening I advice people to take videos cause clearly nurses don't care about their jobs.
I was admitted at this hospital, and had to stay there for 3 weeks after being sent home from another hospital while they could see I was very sick and told Im waisting state resources. But when I ot to Bheki Mlangeni, the second the doctor saw my Xray he jumped and did what he needed to save my life. My stay at the hospital was made pleasant I didn't feel I was in public hospital, the matron came daily to check if we slept well and if we okay also the nurses where the most helpful and very nice. The doctors couldn't let me go home without knowing what cause my condition until they did. So to all the do toes from casualty, medical ward and mostly the nurses and doctors from surgibal ward I thank you from the bottom of my heart, may you stay the same and blessed.
My brother is a psych, we had taken him to the hospital as he has relapsed and defaulted on his medication, he was admitted only for 3 days and discharged again with to transfer to a institution which will help with his condition, upon his discharge he was unstable and the staff advise we should force him to take his meds, he got home and he was more violent than ever, i dont understand how could they have discharged him when he not stable at which the hospital are the once who can sedate him and force him to take the medication, i am out hear wondering what they expect when discharging a violent psych patient, such is the government we have, not impressed, they should just close this hospital as they are useless!!!
The service is poor, even if you were not going to have miscarriage but at bheki mlangeni you'll have it becouse of their service, yesterday I came at 20:00 but I was only attended at 04:00 in the morning and my baby was already gone and I had to wait for for the doctors who attended me at 10h00 after that I had to do I MVA I waited outside the MVA room for 5hours the doctors were just coming with their patients and go without assisting me and guess I complained I even cried and DR MASANGO CAME AND HE WAS LAUGHING AND HE SAID "IF YOU WANT THE BEST TREATMENT YOU MUST GO TO PRIVATE HOSPITALS, HERE EVEN IF YOU DIE YOU DON'T DIE FOR US AND YOU NOT DOING US ANY FAVOR YOU DYING FOR YOURSELF"
I was admitted in hospital in Jan 2022-Feb and I appreciated , the work of the nurses, the chef and the staff, who attended to me during this time Surgical Medical section A, Dr Zwane did his best to assist me , and all the nurses were patient, and friendly. I am grateful, for the professionalism, love and nurturing, received from OT department, from Dr Thobile Dlamini and to Dr Linda Mpuku, who ensured that my health was a priority. The wards were clean, and the food was perfect, we always asked for more food .I can recommend the hospital to anyone at any given time. Keep the excellent work up. May God bless the hard work and extra effort, you put in.
my sister was admitted on the 02/09/2016 at the hospital today we came to check up on her and we were advised she was moved to baragwanath hospital , we then went to baragwanath but when they check on their records she is not there , we called back bheki mlangi hospital we were put on hold for 30 min after the call disconnected , we called again and we were transferred to casualty and the person who answered the phone was so rude said she is not sure if our patient is there or not and her list is very long how will she know if we send her to the hospital, we told her her to check with name and surname , really the service is very bad
I would give this hospital a minus 10. I took my mother in on the 1st Jan 2018, she had chest pains, we arrived at the hospital at 2am and no doctor attended to her, until the afternoon at 2:30pm. They only noticed that her sugar levels were high and was admitted due to that, meanwhile, she had a heart attack. Baragwanath hospital, only picked this up when she got there. Bheki Mlangeni did ECG and took xrays but didn't want to treat her. The service at this hospital is pathetic. Tax payers money was wasted on this one. Rather close it down and go back to the old system where we would go to Bara.
Jeez.. if you are prepared to spend anything between 6 to 10 hours here waiting for service then this is the place to hang whilst you or a loved one is in pain. Does not matter how much you ask for assistance nor try to prove your case as to why your pain should be priority. The chances of anyone dying whilst waiting are exponentially high. Severe pain kills and time is often not on your side. Anyway it looks good and clean. That's just about it.. at least the security guards are understanding. I should have learnt from a previous experience but I just had to come here again. Never again.
I was admitted to this hospital and honestly the staff was amazing, just 1 or 2 nurses were not nice but the rest they were really good to me. Nurse Jacqueline to be specific by the labour ward, that lady is really a nurse not by mistake, she's got so much care and was very patient. And she always had a smile on her face. She made sure she took care of me the whole night when I experienced complications and when they had to do emergency c-section she was still by my side. I'll forever be grateful to her. And the other staff. And the cleanliness of the hospital is another bonus point...
Tonight I saw, people with a heart full of love, the staff at highcare is amazing. They sang to the lady who was busy fading away. They even hugged the family and gave comfort. These sisters was God sent angels, still a passion for the once they care for. Thank you is a small word, but knowing she was looked after by these amazing people. I dont even think in a private hosp , she would have had this wonderful care, letting the family feel at ease, and allowing them to be by her bedside till the end. Thank you,the hospital can be proud to have staff like you. God bless.
while pregnant i waited from 8am to 2pm for a doctor check up. when i did give birth the doctor treated me like it was a favour she was doing but then my little girl got Jaundice on 28. she was 1.9kg and was too small for their protective eye mask. every time I'd see her she was hungry, facing up at the phototherapy with the mask next to her. when i complained the ill-treatment began, what was i to do let my baby go blind?!! doctor Molathegi tel ext 5862 you are the devil's own. a killer in a healers uniform. why are we so proudly cruel to each other.
I would like to show appreciation to Sister Siza from the Labour ward… what a Gem along with her Entire team, even in Theatre the Doctors are so Humble , please give Doctor Malatjie and his delivery team on the 31/10/2023 their Hennesy and Flowers.. May they continue to Be For the patients Honestly the most horrible place is post natal.. especially nightshift staff weeh… can they be tought humality and patience… we are also humans. Either than that Maternity stuff thank you Sister Dori and Sister vilakazi ko ANC, yourll are also Recognised ..
06/08/16 my uncle was rushed to bheki mlangeni hospital on this day ever since I've been to public hospital's this was the WORST service I've ever received!!! We got there 01:25am and left 06:15am without being attended and my uncle almost DIED while nurses and doctors we're sleeping at that poor hospital please DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH please do something about the hospital people are dying there whilst the nurses are asleep.. I hope this complaint is being heard because people are not being helped when help is needed at a crucial time
I had a very horrible experience from ANC but one person who made my stay easier was Nurse Mpho (Forgot her surname) from Post Natal Care Ward after I had a csection. She was very nice and very accommodating, funny too and easy to talk to. She doesn't make you feel like she's doing you a favour. After all the bad treatment I received from other nurses and doctors, she was the nicest. She knows how to treat patients with respect and she doesn't take advantage of her profession. This review is for her not for the hospital.
Dental Department I extracted a tooth on the 14th of August 2023. They injected about +-40 patients for numbness. When it was time for extraction, I then proceeded to tell Dr Y Karodia that the injection has faded as I was feeling pain. She extracted the tooth anyways. The helper then proceeded to say it was pressure and not pain. I mean at my big age, don’t I know the difference? Worst pain of my life! My right side is still swollen. May they be dealt with accordingly .
I have been attending Colorectal Clinic in Baragwanath and refered to Bheki Mlangeni for operation,i was sent back 2 times without surgery being performed,i am living with pain for months and nothing has been done,i have another date for admittion on the 25/11/2018,i so hope this time i will get a proper treatment and have an operation performed on the 26/11/2018.kindly advise me in this regard because i am not looking forward to be returned for the 3rd time.
My wife is pregnant and having pains every now and then. The clinic she goes to closes on a sunday so I had to take her to the hospital. But the doctor just told her to find the nearest clinic that is open, not even attending her or asking what the problem is. I'm so disappointed. Why do we pay taxes though if we are not getting any proper service frim the government institutions, we don't want A class treatment, the list they can do is help.
I had to accompany my grandfather for a check up ,we've been here since 7:20 and it's 14:20 and we are still waiting for a doctor ,I'm not sure if we'll even make it to 4pm since we've been told that the pharmacy closes at 16 :00,mind you people are in pain they have a doctor that leaves exactly at 13:00 and we are being told we have to wait for doctors from the wards and we have been waiting close to 2 hours now, worst experience ever
I'd give this hospital half a star if it was available due to their inept and carefree service! If you're not bleeding they simply ignore you. I have bad memories of nightmare to share about this hospital. It is littered with young and ill-experienced doctors who have no compassion for their autocratic oath! I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL AT ALL: GO THERE IF YOU WANT TO DIE! BAD, BAD, SERVICE AND UNCARING NURSES AND STAFF!
I've never been so sick that I need to be admitted. From the moment I walked in at security, to reception and nurses. I was given the best service ever. I was taken well care of. I would like to thank all the hard working staff members of the hospital. Everyone was helpful and respectful not only to me but to mh fellow patients. Thank so much
Opposite to Jabulani Mall ,on vicinities of Zola Gateway Clinic and neighborhood S.A.P ,Bheki Mlangeni District Hospital is one of the hospitals in Soweto who serv the community of the biggest township in South Africa. The improved life of our peoples can been seen all over in South Africa and more must be done with the groin population.
On Saturday 20th October 2018 I went to visit my mother at Bheki Mlangeni District Hospital and the experience I had was out of this world. The cleanliness of this facility is great and the staff on duty was really friendly and professional. I was really proud of what I experienced. Well done guys. I definitely rate you 10/10
They’re very negligent when it comes to the patients well-being, I’ve been kept in a Covid ward while I’m Negative and I’m scared for my life that i might end up contracting the disease and what makes me very angry is that they’ve been promising to move me from this ward but it’s just excuse after excuse …
I was admitted on the 2nd October 2019 for a very serious condition and discharged on the 9th. I have been visiting MOPD for monthly checkups since November. I am pleased to report that both the administration and medical service provided has been very good and one of the main reasons towards my satisfactory recovery.
Very much disappointed they are lot of securities than Dr, we are being told that there are 4 Dr in the whole hospital, meaning these four Drs are accessing the wards and casuality, being here from 1 afternoon until now with a patient having a red sticker, but they say red sticker is an emergency. Bad service
We tend to complain about Bad Customer Service which in our nature as humans...but in the same breath we have to and we should acknowledge when we receive excellent customer service...Thank U Sizwile Mamtshinga (Casualty) for assisting me in an attemp trace a patient S. Robinson...Thank U...God Bless U....
Admitted on Monday for c-section stayed till Friday and went to theatre but doctor said they won't operate because it was late around 3. They literally had 6 operations for the day but delayed. The pain of being turned back to the ward with drips, catheter and no baby.. this is absolutely rubbish
The service that my mother received was humane, understanding of her condition and uppermost was their compassion. The commitment is unquestionable from general to the drs. Government must do its part because general malaise in public institution is born out of lack of government support.
My second time at this hospital and there are always no doctors to attend to patients, why doesn't anyone check where the doctors are? A baby girl died in our presence because she was not attended to in over 3 hours. Something must be done or this hospital must close down! …
@GautengHealth My mother in law was brought in at Jabulani Hospital by ambulance at 11:30 AM, 14 August 2016 & was only seen by the doctor at 19:30 PM. It is now 01:28 AM, 15 August 2016 & we still do not know if she is being admitted or discharge. How is this normal practice?
Had a herniated disc, and i was made to wait from 5 till 10pm (sitting and standing- was never offerd a wheelchair). It was at 10pm that i decided to leave coz i was still not attended to and my back couldn't stand the preassure anymore. If i could give it a zero... i would!
My experience here was hell, literally had to wait 15hrs to be helped, if it wasn't for matron Nkosi I'll be as good as dead, the staff is very rude and have no manner of approach especially in casualty. If you are looking for a death penalty trust me that's the place to be.
People must stop working cause no one forced the to be employed, my 12year old brother has been sitting with a broken arm for almost 2 hours and no 1 has bothered to help or give a pain killer. Rather shut down this hospital because clearly helping ppl is not on ur books.
I think it’s time they shut down this hospital, there is a ward they call step down ward. They neglect patients in that ward . I’m afraid my brother won’t make it because they just don’t care . I hate that hospital with a passion. They must close it once and for all.
My mom went to see her sister in "Surgical ward B" was not allowed to. Its not the first time, it happened several time to the kids also. You phone the ward no one picks up the phone Our families require support from us their families whole they recover in hospital.
This is unprofessional hospitalHow can someone be in labor pains for a week and the nurses they just induce someone for 3days. Why don't they do C-section because it's an emergency. Useless nurses that caused a lot of trauma to a first time mother …
After hearing so many horrible stories about this hospital, my partner and I were extremely terrified when I was referred to it. To my surprise, I had such a pleasant experience with super friendly nurses in the maternity and labour ward. Keep it up.
Had the best experience at the Maternity ward courtesy of Sister Brenda Machaba who assisted me with giving birth on 10 March 2023. She was patient with me and guided me throughout the whole process. I am truly grateful to her and her colleagues.
it was very pleasant experience considering the fact i was very anxious and stressed out and the personnel was very inquisitive and friendly although some patients had concerns about time i found it very comfortable and relaxing at the same time
This is the worst hospital I've ever come across.. You will get there and you will end up LEAVING AGAIN without you being helped.. It should be SHUT DOWN. this hospital is pointless I tell u #angrycitizen living not far from the place itself
I am very disappointed by the treatment I got than to make matters worse as I go to the pharmacy to get what the doctor prescribed for me and was told there are no crutches they didn't even bother to make a plan not caring how I will get
I had to do an emergency C-section, the team was amazing an amazing job. I was treated well and my scar does not look bad at all and it was looked after wel but the good nurses and doctors. I really appreciate each and every one of them.
Was admitted on 11th of April 2023 at a labour ward and gave birth on the 12th,the treatment I got was absolutely amazing, humanity truely exist in that hospital,a big thank you to all the staff that assisted meGod bless you all …
Worst treatment of patients ever that is why there's high mortality rate at this hospital, took my mother there after 22hours and counting she hasn't been attended to staffs attitude is the worst I'm appalled by this hospital
Very poor service, Been waiting for more than 2 hours no assistance from the doctor, he only priorities and attends the patients that came in Ambulances only. Talk about attitude... I give them 100% they just don't care.
I was reffered there from my local clinic, the treatment I got there was so excellent. Anc staff is the best. In fact from the lady by the door who does the screening. Keep it up. May the good lord continue to bless you.
I'm so disappointed by the service I received at Bheki mlangeni Hospital, my first time visiting the hospital to see the optometrist, but I was given an appointment for June 2024 without being seen by the optometrist.
was here last year, the service was bad, took hours before a doctor saw me. a patient fell on the floor and no one including the securities helped him up while he was screaming in pain. just a horrible experience nje
Poor can never describe the terrible service in this place, why is it even called a hospital if there are no doctors to assist patient, I totally agree that it should close down. A waste of state funds.
I gave birth around Feb at this hospital and their service was good. Big ups to the maternity ward staff. I came in there thinking of the worst but to my surprise everything went well. Keep it up.
I am admitted here at the hospital as i write this message. The service is beyond excellent. The nurses from morning to night shift are also caring and loving. I am experiencing Batho Pele at the
Opening a file here with a baby in need of immediate attention was the most horrific experience, instead of being assisted I was teased because of how I speak and service was then dragged!
I would love to shout out to all the maternity and labour ward staff who was working night day shift between 05-02 & 06-02-2020. Thank you thank you …
Close this hospital down. My baby sister lost her baby on Friday due to hospital negligence. Close this place down Bheki Mlangeni Hospital is opening unnecessary graves.
My uncle was in an accident and waited 6hours in casualties. We had to make a plan and hire a private ambulance to another hospital. It was very discouraging.
My dad died in this hospital, they neglect patients and the service is very poor. More security guards tha doctors and nurses. This hospital should be closed.
i went there to check on a patient that went for check up in the morning but guess what he was still waiting for a doctor around 9 pm from 10 am
I had a good experience, I was assisted from the minute I walked in until I gave birth . Especially sister Dladla they good no complaints
I was put in a ward with mentally unstable people whereas I am perfectly fine. Being in that ward caused me alot of emotional damage.
To all employees keep up the good work...u guys ar so humble especially the ladies working in the mortuary, very kind and helpfull.
Good news at least we still have people with good conscience irrespective of bad name health workers have been receiving. Hureee
My first time being admitted, but i got a good treatment i give good compliments to the doctors and nurses ... …
Unfairly treated by a nurse who denied to immunization to my child. I am waiting to be attended by matron of the clinic
Jabulani hospital... One of the Cleanest hospitals, with most respectful staff. From the security, nurses and doctors.
Bad, bad service. Nurse Mshengu from labour ward told me to remove my own catheter cos She's too clean for such
Gave birth there, the staff they are God sent from admin to nurses, doctors and cleaners keep up the good work.
Looks like a private hospital. Good service and the nurses are helpful. This is beyond excellence
I don't under why this hospital is operating the service is poor and something needs to be done,
Terrible service Barangwath hospital I way better, been there since 1pm and only seen At 9 pm.
Happy with the assistance I received from Boitumelo with long dreads, keep up the good work.
This has to be my worst experience...the staff there don't know why they are there.
Good looking hospital but I am not sure about the service they give to the people.
Yesterday my sister hava discharged and she wasn't able to walk
Since 6am trying to call your landline is not going through
I gave birth there, the service was Great
They took time to assist people.
