Wonderful place to be with mother nature. Amazing to see the branches of the banyan tree have merged together and fused into one. It reminds me of the life cycle of birth to death that all of us experience in this world. I see branches have come out of the trunk, charted their own courses, unionised with other branches to become a new tree, created their a new identity altogether and some of them have died, while new ones are thriving. The tree gives a huge cover and it was extremely pleasant even when the ambient temperature was 31 degree Celsius. The canopy created by the tree was making the area under the tree about 23 degree Celsius or even cooler. A few boys were playing cricket in the adjacent open area. Small eateries and juice shops add some life to the place. It was nice to see that policewomen were explaining to the families who were trying to violate the rules of not holding picnic inside the compound. Quite a few monkeys were happily playing and feeding on dry snacks offered by the visitors to the place. Though the notices put up the botanical department is clear that one shouldn't feed the monkeys, people won't pay attention to it. However, monkeys and feeding them haven't been a menace yet; rather it is a treat to watch. So, nothing to complain! Well-maintained place. A small temple is there inside the compound and adds to the overall package.
