There has been a lot of advertising for this new store. Curiosity got me visiting their new store in Edmonton. It's a big store with a variety of discounted items ranging from Outdoor patio items, garden related products, bicycles, tents, washing machines, refrigerators, furniture, accessories , food items, toys, branded watches, shoes , clothing for men, women and children, pet products, utensils, furnishings, bed sheets, towels , branded sun glasses etc. The staff were very nice and helpful. This new store is near Mira health care center. The only drawback according to me was the limited amount of parking space infront of the store. I also noticed that a number of people were using the broad roadside for parking. An interesting place to visit. Some of their products were very well priced when compared to other similar stores.
I drove by frequently and popped in out of curiosity. It may be a big box ‘outlet’ but don’t expect outlet pricing, especially on appliances. Maybe 10%, 20% off, and that is with large, conspicuous dents. I got better discounts on brand new, flawless appliances with full warranty from the retailers. Clothing - 8-pack of children’s boxers for $17.00 but there were only seven left in the unsealed package. Dining chairs with synthetic fabric - $75.00 per chair. This is hardly outlet pricing - you’d get a better deal at Leon’s. Unless this place gets a LOT MORE aggressive on its pricing, I don’t think it will be able to compete with Homesense/Winners/Costco/Dollarama in the Edmonton market. Overall, good selection, but unrealistic prices.
First I would like to say, the staff working at the till were fantastic and very helpful, one in particular really helped me out and unfortunately did not get her name. I find the store to be quite organized, I like that if there's a damaged package you can get it at a substantial reduced price and there's nothing wrong with the product just the box is not a pretty sight so to speak. I'll take the savings thank you because I really don't need to keep the Box LOL. Again overall I had a really good experience, being this close to Christmas I did not find what I was looking for even with the help of the front cashier. Once again thank you very much!
Had a great time shopping there on the first day it was opened. It was so busy but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved how clean and nicely merchandised the store was, made it really easy to shop. There were a ton of great deals, I spent so much time in the clothing section finding cute new outfits My husband and I are doing a remodel of our kitchen this fall and will definitely come back here for our appliances. I signed up for their rewards program on day one, I’ll be a regular shopper here for sure!
I'm used to Big Box in B.C. They had amazing deals. Just left the outlet in Edmonton, not impressed. Some 'discounted or clearance' items were twice the price I saw in B.C. less than a month ago. When I mentioned it to the staff , they didn't seem to care. Feels like this outlet is out to goudge customers. Can still find a few dollars of savings but by no means worth a trip. Been reading Big Boxes replies so am quite sure they will justify their pricing
Don't waste your time here. Went here with a friend the other day and we were both disappointed. Basically a big box of not very discounted items. Some items are only reduced due to damage or previous use. It's like if a regular store sold you used or outdated items. Alot of costco items here but hardly any value when it's basically regular price. We found better pricing at other stores or liquidation stores, dollar stores, and Amazon.
I found their pricing to be on the high side. In one case, their pricing was double the price of what I paid at the store that they are a discount for. I was able to get my sister a fantastic deal on a vacuum here, however. They have a fair size variety. The parking availability is not great. I found checkout took much longer than it should have. Not everything had pricing on it, and those items threw the cashier into a tizzy.
Lots of my (extended) family get things from these stores, and they were excited to have one in Edmonton! Very convenient and good prices, especially for bigger items for your home. Seems pretty organized and the staff are happy. Very friendly and helpful. They’ve only been open for a month or so - even when staff didn’t have the answer to my question right away, they were happy to get help and find out the answer for me.
Definitely one of those hidden gems - and I'm talking about the products AND the people who work there! It is a fusion of an outlet mall where there are previous season furniture, clothes, appliances but with liquidation pricing. There is a lot to look at and I am so thankful Patti, Karen and other awesome people helped me through every step. I've been here twice and I'm sure it won't be the last. Thanks so much Patti!
The customer service here was amazing! One of the ladies on the floor grabbed a ladder and ran across the store to check the price of this coat for me and let me try the last one on! It was such a good price and she was so friendly I bought it instantly! The cashier Max was super nice as well to both my boyfriend and I and was very patient! Overall great people & an amazing store!!!
Visited this location a few times already. I think it's bigger than the south side location. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Some stuff is really great deals some not so much. There were great boxing day deals that I took advantage of. Also great return policy. I was able to return a serving tray that was damaged in the package and jeans that I didn't like.
Bought online and was sent an item marked as "new" that had battery issues and wouldn't charge properly. Since I had to rip the box open they wouldn't accept it back alleging that if the box was damage they wouldn't be able to resell it (even thought it was broken). Not the first time I bought with them and received a damaged item and a bad costumer support.
Store is clean and lots of options. You'll definitely find a discontinued item from big box stores here. While they have good options, sometimes their pricing is still a bit more expensive compared to, let's say, Costco. Definitely check the item's price before you purchase as you may end up paying more vs getting it from a big box store.
I’ve found some amazing deals here!! Furniture, clothes… They always have new stuff, so I love coming in just to look around, and not once have I left empty handed. They’ve only been open a month, and now every time I need something, I think “I wonder if that Big Box place has that”… so far, no disappointments! Will keep coming back!
It's really awesome, I love the deals and brand names for super reasonable prices! The store is also well lit and spceous. Parking in the summer is precarious at best, now multiply that by 1000 and that is the winter situation. All that aside, I had a good experience my first visit and all subsequent stops as well.
I love this store always an adventure to see what they have in store. They have great deals, and like any store, you just need to pay attention to prices and know what's a good deal. The staff is always friendly. …
Amazing store with so many different things from furniture, to clothes, to collectors items, decorations, and the list goes on. The workers were very nice and helpful especially our cashier Max! Thank you :)
I have not found any deals at this store if anything their prices are higher than the brick , Canadian tire and other department stores. Was not impressed and just lately its like a tornado hit it.
Great place to go for impulse buying. You need to know your prices. Some stuff is fantastic in terms of price, others not so much.
This store was so much fun! Got a great deal on slippers and socks. Lots of curious little goodies here.
