Helps to be young and crazy to ride this. I did it in 1994 when it was newer. Didn't realize it goes up fast and down even faster. Most people will experience leaving the seat which seems like it disappears from under you as it pulls you down before it moves upwards again. Can't recall how many times you go up and down but it is scary as the wind is strong up there and despite the beautiful view of the strip lights at night, it will scare the hell out of you. If you're looking for adrenaline and wobbly legs at the end this is for you. Otherwise stick with the indoor bar with 2 drink min, two gin martinis can make you feel the same way but that's much safer. The other cable drop is $150 for adrenaline but I'll spend that money on something else.

It wasn't as extreme as everyone makes it out to be. It was okay. I seemed to be only a few seconds on the ride. We purchased tickets during the daytime. Then when we went up to ride... it was too hot to ride the rides. You would think that there would be some sort of covering or something for guests to sit on so they can't burn their legs on the ride from sitting all day in extreme heat... BUT NO... ITS NOT!!! I was very upset about this and the staff need to inform the guests at the desk b4 wasting their time purchasing tickets. We ended up leaving and coming back 2 ride the rides after 10pm when the heat wasn't too bad. If you are aware of how the Strip is laid out... The Stratosphere Is all the way near the END!!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!We purchased 4 unlimited tickets prior to visiting Vegas and the day we got to the stratosphere it took us 45 mins to get up to the rides because first we were not given any direction and then when we figured out that we had to take one elevator up part way then exit and get on another we were then told that only one ride was running and that we had to wait because one of the operators of that one ride was not there yet. We ended up riding the big shot 2 times before it was too windy and cold. I asked a worker prior to the first ride if we could get a refund and they said no no refunds PERIOD!

The Big Shot ride is at the top of the Strat (old Stratosphere) tower which is in the 112 floor of the building. You might have an idea already of the beautiful but intimidating views of the city you will be enjoying. The ride consists in a small tower in top of the 112 floor that have some seats and rails and where you are going to be basically “ejected to the sky” a couple of times This is one of three scariest attractions in Las Vegas, the other two are Insanity and SkyJump all of them at the same place! The Strat Hotel ;0) 100% recommended

When I saw this ride I just had to do it. Having tried one similar at DisneyLand, placing the same ride 100+ stories up added a huge element of fear. I was hesitant, but did it. It was TERRIFYING - but AWESOME. I did not dare try the other rides, too scary for my blood, but definitely this is highly recommend if you are into rides etc. The views form the top of the stratosphere are incredibly as well, worth going to the top just for those. On subsequent trips to Vegas we didn't bother, but it is certainly a "do it at least once" sort of thing!

This ride was my definite favorite and made us really glad to have bought the unlimited pass. We rode it 3 times and if it weren't so freezing cold, we could have gone again and again. It is definitely the least terrifying ride since you can't really fall to your death. After the first time, the thrill is reduced to a manageable level and one can simply enjoy the view. It truly felt like you are the king of the universe for a few moments. I want this feeling back so badly. How can any other ride ever compare to that?

What a ride!! The place had 3 rides - first one is the throw you out and pull you in of this 100 story building vanishing the grounds below you. Second one is they places you out of tower and spin you and sametime tilting you horizontally so that you can see the ground below and keep spinning. Third one is the best.. They throw you up the tower and you fall back. This motion happen 3-4 times and is awesome. Must visit is your happen to be in Vegas.

Big shot is better than x-scream. Also, better to get day pass as you will roughly get a minute to ride on each ride. They should increase the timing for each ride actually. Not worth it to pay that amount for just 1 minute ride.

Thrillseekers who enjoy a good view, this one is for you! This super high altitude ride offers anyone an unconventional way to see Las Vegas. Would advise all wanting to try this to buy ride tickets with their admission tickets, or it is much pricier on deciding to buy afterwards when on the viewing deck. Great fun.

Pretty impressive last floor of the Stratosphere hotel and casino. The city view from this spot is amazing, especially during the evening hours, as the city has pretty impressive lighting. Perfect location for memorial photos. There is also a nice restaurant bar with indoor seating and the same beautiful view.

The Big Shot is a fun ride with a beautiful view... But popping by late at night once it gets dark and seeing Las Vegas all lit up is absolutely incredible. It is a little pricey for such a few seconds of action so I do suggest purchasing the ride pass for a couple bucks more and making the most out of it.

I have seen big, tall, heavy, sports guys cry. It is just a shot in the air, a few hundred meters up. Done it at least 25 times, nothing beats it.

It's such a tall structure of beauty and architecture. It's always fun to take the Big Shot whenever I'm in Las Vegas. It is so awesome inspiring just looking up at it with the clouds moving above it. Glad I got my 2018 photo complete, 4 years down, see you in 2019

Rode this ride at night and it was super cool! The chairs angle downwards so there is no trying to avoid looking at how high you are, which add to the thrill. Views were amazing of the strip and Las Vegas area. Line was also quite short. Definitely recommend!

The big shot is absolutely amazing! Definitely go at night . a must if local. The darkness makes it even more scary absolute Delight not a big fan of the stratosphere but I'll just big shot three stars just because everything else there is not that great

The place is amazing the view worth million dollars and the food at the restaurant wow I don't have word to describe it but is a unique experience that's for sure the environment the costumes service.... Yes it's my favorite place in VEGAS

Fun fun fun with an amazing view!! The workers are a lil intense with their attitudes towards people... I guess they're just use to getting attitude back. But okay.... other than that the ride was awesome... all three rides are great!!

First time I was afraid to ride the rollercoaster up top of the Strat. Now I recommend doing the Big Shot! This ride will shoot you to the top of Vegas and take your breath away on the way down. Would love to ride this again and again!

This Is the best idea Vegas could it ever came up with a ride on top of the stratosphere it is a rush that you would never ever experience for one for the family and for going out with a friend or a date it is pricey but it's worth it

It was worth it. Got coupons from GroupOn for $29 for unlimited rides on all 3 of them plus access to the indoor and outdoor deck. Just be mindful of the weather as the rides can get closed due to it somedays.

Amazing!!! Only bag thing, I went at night and the crackers wasn't working due to expected inclement weather. Overall, it was thrilling and a stress releaser for me. I'll go for my 3rd ride next time.

That was an awesome ride! Perfectly placed at the top of the tower at almost 1000 ft, and a well crafted thrill ride. The mountain terrains nearby make the ride even more try-worthy.

Initially had no intention of riding this one, however, ended up riding it and loved it. It’s quite a thrill to be thrown into the air at 1,000 feet high.

Best of the three by far. I’d recommend the unlimited pass just to do this big shot ride over and over again. This one has some great re-ride potential.

This is a must do for thrill seekers in Vegas. Your are shot up with G force at 1000 feet from the ground and freefall 60 feet. The views are amazing

My sister and the love of my life both had a great time one of my favorite rides in town a must-do and the view is unmatched anywhere in the world

For rollercoaster and adrenaline junkies it is not that great of a thrill, but it is still nice to get on the big shot as opposed to the Xscream.
