To all who read the reviews BOB from this shop was Great the friendly customer service that I got was great. He took the time to make me knowledgeable about the product and did not push me to buy anything I didnt need over all I had a great experience.. and that why I took the Time Thanks bob..:)
Best man in town to get the job done. Every time I have gone in, not only does he know everything about bikes, but he's a great guy to talk to. Excellent service, fast, and quality work. Highly Recommended for anyone need a simple flat fixed, or a full fledged makeover on their bike.
If you are enthusiastic about bicycles and looking for a guy who really knows his stuff, this is the place, come in with a bad tude and it will be reciprocated with force. When none of the sterilized modern shops have what you need, it can be found here!
I've brought my bicycle here a couple times over the years and my experience has always been outstanding. The owner is very knowledgeable and skilled, service is quick and reasonably priced. Bikesmith will always be my first choice for bicycle repairs.
I was cycling down Garnet and realized one of my tires was low on air. I stopped into this shop and asked if I could use a pump. The guy said "what's in it for me?" Now I live right around the corner and will never go into to this place again.
Bob did a great job on my bike! Needed a tune up, new inner tubes, new tires, new tape on the handle bars and a clean up. He kindly replaced my water bottle holder with a new one to match my bike. Kept feeding me great advice on maintenance
Every time I go here, I walk out with more knowledge than I walked in with. I've learned a lot about bicycles and bike maintenance from Bob, the owner, as well as about history of the neighborhood. Bob has done great repair work on my bike,
I went here to buy a bike. It had a few dings but it was a great quality bike and it was a fixer upper project for me. He made sure the bike was in great working condition mechanically. He’s been local for years and makes it a habit to go
Bob did an excellent job tuning up and cleaning up my old Schwinn. The second I rolled it into the shop he was able to tell me the make, model and history of my bicycle. In addition to the tune up, he also shined up some of my chrome and
Bob is very knowledgeable and I have always had my bike problems fixed here. He knows what he is doing and is very reasonable. If you go there, go with a sense of humor as he can be "different" to deal with. He has his own way of dealing
Please be Patient with Bob, the owner. I stopped by today and he told me he was celebrating 45 years! Wow! While Bob obviously has decades of experiences, he is old school. I mean phone call only. Better yet, stop by. We had a great
Let me tell you, will not find a better "Repair" bike shop in Pacific Beach. If you want your bike to be in top shape and ready to roll for a great price then this is your place. They don't make shops like this anymore, check it out!
This guy is sarcastic and rude. He made snide comments from the moment I walked in the door. Not the kind of person I want to give my business to. I found a much more positive experience down the street. Don’t waste your time here.
Bob is my go to guy for fixes big and small. How much he cares about his work shows when you leave with your bike- I’ve never left disappointed. Great prices and trustworthy work. Bike shops like this one are hard to come by!
Was treated rudely here. Seems to be a coin-toss about customer service at this one-man shop. Once was enough; there's enough competition in PB for bike business that's friendly. I don't recommend this place.
I needed a bike for 6 weeks in California. I bought a vintage bike off craigslist which needed some work and the bikesmith was the first bike shop I came to whilst walking back and I am so happy I did.
Bob is a long-time resident and merchant who has a ton of knowledge. An excellent source for parts and repair if you have an older bicycle of any type. He's terrific for newer bikes too. Recommended.
Great experience, made great suggestions on how to fix my bike, and reasonably priced. Down to earth guy here to help you out. Came in to get the spokes on my back tire replaced.
I bought a bike from there and when my buddies and I went for a ride the pedals came off. On another occasion my son stop in to air up his tires and he wouldn't.
Great owner. Great Service. The most knowledgeable person l ever met regarding bicycles. Very professional and very friendly. Can't recommend enough.
Don't let looks deceive you. I you want the most bang for your buck, this is the place. Best bike mechanic and he can't help you, he knows a place.
I grew up in pb and remember coming here as a teenager. Bob was rude then and still rude now. Worst customer service and bad vibes sort of place.
When our bikes were stolen, we got little help from the San Diego police, but we got socked with paying for two used bikes at new bike prices!
Bob is a good guy! Sometimes he may be overloaded with jobs, but i like him and bring my bikes everytime there!
Owned by a craftsman who enjoys and takes pride in his work. He'll make your good bike a great bike.
Bob is great. Helped me get me back on the road two separate times since I moved to PB last October.
Employees always looking for the easy way out when it doesn't include any work
The mechanic has a very bad attitude. Can't see how he stays in business.
Super helpful! Will go again for any bike repair
Great Job! This is our guy now!
