I never in a million years thought I would have to bury the love of my life, my soul mate, my bestfriend, my Husband at such a young age. We planned a lifetime together. We wanted to be married like our grandparents celebrating 50, 60 years of marriage... That was all taken away from us because of Cancer!! All our dreams, all our goals, everything we survived together for the past 23 years, it was all just ripped away from me the moment my husband took his last breath. The day before I had talked to Rob Sr. About question trying to prepare myself... Rob Sr. Told me, "Honey go home and spend as much time as possible with your husband, Don't worry about any if this right now. We will take care of you when the time comes." I wasn't sure how to feel about that at the time, but I did exactly what he said and went home to my husband! Unfortunately around 3am I had to make the call to a funeral home to come get my Bestfriend. I didn't even think twice and called Billman-Hunt Funeral Chapel. I was in such a daze and couldn't barley talk or see. But the 2 young men that came to get my husband were so respectful and so caring which made it a little bit easier letting my husband leave my side. The next day I went in to start arrangements. Rob Jr was The one who mainly walked me thru everything. He was very professional, very Honest, very caring and over all The entire family at Billman-Hunt did such a beautiful, gracious job at handling the arrangements I'm happy I went here instead of anywhere else! They have stayed in contact with me to make sure our kids and myself are doing ok, and I respect that very much! They are not all about the "MONEY" they are all about making sure your loved ones wishes are carried out the way they wanted! Thank you Billman-Hunt Family for everything all of you have done for us. This funeral home was amazing. We used their services on August 27th. They were extremely nice, helpful and made this experience extremely easy during our time of need. I am not a Minnesota resident, I live in Oklahoma but had to commute to Minnesota when my younger sister passed away. I worked closely with their son "Junior" he was amazing and even told great jokes which helped me with a chuckle during planning (i.e. I do the best makeup in town). Everything turned out amazing. Little did he know, I work for the Oklahoma Insurance Department in Oklahoma, it is my job to regulate prepaid funeral home statues in Oklahoma. THIS FAMILY IS AMAZING!!! After our services he even allowed me to park my deceased sisters car in their parking lot until the wrecker service came to tow it away. This was not included in our services purchased. Although there was another funeral service being held during the time her car was parked, they still gave us the space. They were not rude and allowed me to use the space until I was able to have the car removed. You cannot go wrong with Billman-Hunt; while I hope to never need them again, I would use their funeral home and services again. Thank you guys so much!!!

Everything was left for me to figure out with no road map. I was lost, never had to plan the next steps after the passing of a relative.....AND to be in a different state! I made one last call for the evening to Billman-Hunt to inquire about cremation services expecting to be rushed off the phone or even better...a voicemail. But instead I was greeted with a warm helping hand and a solution by the end of the call. Just that easy, a plan after my first call. Where other funeral companies treat your loved one as a price tag or number.....Billman-Hunt did not and made us their priority, even during the holidays!!! I dealt with Rob Jr. He answered all my questions, was sincere and knowledgeable. I walked away sad I had to go through this but comforted it was placed in the very capable hands of Billman-Hunt. If you are still reading and trying to decide if this is the company to go with.....stop reading the comments and give them a call, you will NOT be disappointed.

On November 17th 2020 we lost a dear friend and "Family member" JJ! It was a truly devasting shock to all who knew him and his Family in New Zealand. Having never had the personal experience in coordinationing after-life care, I was referred to Billman-Hunt by the social worker at Hennepin County hospital. Rob was absolutley incredible with his compassion, efficiency and utter respect for our loved one. He coordinated JJ's afterlife while communicating with me here in MN, as well as his next of kin in New Zealand. Rob was always available and every single step he took was in the best interests of JJ and our/his families wishes. It is difficult to explain, but Rob has an amazing, genuine character about his demeanor; he puts you at ease, he takes charge and handles all the logistics of afterlife, and he does so in such an efficient, caring, and selfless manner. Rob is a unique person and I am so thankful for his assistance.

When my brother informed the family that he had stage 4 lung cancer and only a short time to live we were devastated. Because we don't have a lot of funerals in our family we were not sure what to do next. My family was faced with an unexpected death as my oldest brother unknowingly had stage 3 cancer. We noticed a lot of weight loss but he was saying he saw the Dr. And everything was ok. We found out the truth while he was on his death bed. When he passed we didn't know what to do but I'm SOooo grateful my mother-in-law referred me to Billman-Hunt Funeral Chapel. They are such a blessing. Ron had such a great attitude and you could feel the sincerity, love and desire to truly help my family navigate through a very difficult time. I also signed up for the grievance help emails and that has been a great help for me. I would definitely refer people to Billman-Hunt Funeral Chapel as it's not just a business but a place where they are passionate about helping ALL families during the loss of loved ones.

ZERO STARS!!!!!!Please don't take your love one here. My brother and I lost my Dad. Somehow the guy who was working with us was very animated. My brother was okay with it but my Dad was my hero. The day of the funeral, it was suppose to start at 9am. The Funeral Direct arrived 5 minutes before start time leaving little time for set up or music. To add insult to injury my dad was left out overnight. His clothes were not properly put on. He had makeup on his shirt. His suspender were uneven and when touched my dad, I heard plastic in his stomach. He looked nothing like himself. I was so distraught at all this. Do not take your loved one here! I am still hurt by this! I been to other funerals since then and they looked like themselves. MY DAD WAS MISHANDLED SEVERELY!!!+

My mothers long time partner passed away and the family chose to have his service here. I can speak for my mother and say that Rob went above and beyond to do what he could for my mother (Sharon) who was hours away. He even recommended another resource to help gain additional funding for the service that our loved one deserved. Thank you is not nearly enough. To work in a career such as this I believe you must possess compassion, and Rob truly showed up and did all he could. Planning a funeral is hard. Planning a funeral for someone you loved dearly is even harder. After loosing my father, someone close to him recommended I meet with Jeff from Billman-Hunt and I am so glad that she did. Jeff made this tough experience as easy and affordable as possible. The space was beautiful and they did a great job getting everything ready. They helped keep track of things when my brain was struggling and they helped with applications for funding resources as well. I highly highly recommend this funeral chapel, as they care about the people they are working with. They go out of their way to help to the fullest extent.

I had my father's memorial service at Billman-Hunt Funeral Chapel. All the staff I encountered were very friendly and compassionate. I personally worked a lot with Rob Jr. He went out of his way to help with putting together my father's memorial service, including figuring out plans for cremation. He was easy to get in contact with, attentive and resourceful. He made this devastating time of planning a funeral more bearable. The service was beautiful and everything went as planned. I am greatly appreciative of all the work Rob Jr. did as well as Billman-Hunt Funeral Chapel in general and would definitely recommend their services.

My wife and I recently experienced a miscarriage and called Billman-Hunt to see about cremation. Rob Jr. and everyone else were so friendly and accommodating during such a difficult time. They said that experiencing a pregnancy loss is something no one should have to face, let alone see a bill for from a funeral home, so our cremation and urn was free. They helped us figure out everything and made the process as stress free as possible. Cannot possibly say how wonderful this was and how much it helped us during this rough time. I'd recommend their services to anyone, they are simply the best.

I cannot even express my gratitude to Rob. You never think your child is going to leave this earth before you do and, in my case, my 22 year old son left this earth before me. I never planned a funeral service before, and Rob was right there helping us. He gave us everything we wanted and needed. He has just been so cool with me and my family, he is like family now. They also treat you like family. I highly recommend their services over any other in Minnesota. This Funeral Home is where you want your love one because Mr. Hunt and his staff does not treat this place like a business for the sole purpose of making money. I lost my dad over a week ago and I’m clear over in Oregon, after talking to a couple funeral homes I decided to go with Rob and the Billman-Hunt Funeral Chapel, and I’m so glad I did. He made everything go so smooth over the phone and kept me in the loop with things. Rob Jr was amazing!! He was the only one willing to pick up my mother's body when she died last Thursday. Everyone else showed up then refused to take her because her husband who disappeared and would not sign next of kin. It may take months to sort all this out but he has made this a good experience for me any family. We will have a beautiful service in a nice place so my family can come to yes with all of this. She was beautiful as ever. Some notes: There was only one person working during the service. When the funeral director came up he ended the service with "She is flying high now, and that concludes our service". My mouth dropped open. I really hope you reconsider how you conclude your services and keep the "flying high" comments out of it. You could have been so much more sensitive during this difficult time.

These guys are awesome. Family owned funeral home in the heart of Northeast. Assisted wonderfully with helping my siblings and I with my fathers recent passing. Rob Jr and Jeff were polite, kind, prompt, and extremely easy to work with. Both Rob and Jeff took great care of us. They helped us with an unexpected death. They were very helpful and not at all pushy. They had great ideas for us and pointed us to other services (flowers, food, etcetera) in many price points that were very helpful. Mostly, they were a true down to earth family business that is professional yet personal. I highly recommend them!

Our baby was stillborn and our social worker suggested Billman-Hunt as she had previous positive experience with them. No one expects this kind of tragedy, and to have to deal with arrangements for cremation was the last thing we wanted to think about. Rob Jr was wonderful and responded to all calls promptly as he helped us through this difficult and unexpected process.

The staff here are just amazing. I do not know how Rob does it but he has a way of making the most painful and tearful moments a laughter filled one. Never once did he say 'the body'.
